Ved ankomst ble vi tildelt 2 rom som nok ikke brukes til vanlig, forklaringen var at vi bestilte så sent som dagen før og ankom så sent som kl 1700!?!? Rommene var meget dårlige, ingen søvn å få, fikk nye neste dag, men det ble EKTE røykerom, røyker ikke. Frokosten var meget dårlig, måtte betale ekstra for å få en kaffe som ikke smakte vaskevann, så […] vi valgte en meget hyggelig nærliggende kafe. Det som reddet vårt Romaopphold var at vi følte en stor glede ved å forlate "hotellet". Grei beliggenhet nær Sentralstasjonen. Men der kunne vi jo ikke sove. Reiser mye, benytter "Hotels. com" når det er mulig. Men dette er for ille. Hilsen far og datter på nedtur! Les mer

the payment to hotels.com suppose to cover the tax already. But the hotel still charged 6 euros tax. I just found out after I left Rome. The street is not very safe. Fake police stopped me and ask for passport. Suggest not to live in this neighborhood.

The the hotel was very pretty with pleasant staff and a great location but I have very mixed feelings about this place. The thermostat didn't work so the options were either constant heat, cold, or no air. So to balance the heat I had to keep the window cracked open which only made for waves of heat and cold and made sleeping difficult. Speaking of […] the large window, I was on the ground level so there was blind on the other side of the window that blocked nearly everything. Essentially it looked like a window but was essentially another wall. As I mentioned earlier the hotel is beautiful inside but my room was oddly arranged... there was a small desk nearly blocking the entry. To enter my room I had to carry my luggage over top of the desk as I squeezed by. Overall it wasn't a horrible experience but it wasn't great one either... as I said earlier very mixed feelings. Although the room was very small, it was great for a short stay in Rome. More than anything, the location was extremely convenient. The hotel was clean, service was great, and overall I was very satisfied with my experience there.

A good value for the money. Had to pay for Wifi and it only worked down in the lobby very well. The room was decorated in a Victorian way which was pretty, but I had a single room and it was cramped. There was only 1 electrical plug which was used for the TV, lamp, and then anything I needed to charge. The bathroom was tight, but pretty with marble […] walls and a rectangular shower which was easier than the traditional triangle ones, which are very hard to shower in they are sooooooo small. The walls were thin and I could hear the person snoring next door in the night. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was yummy. It only took me about 5 minutes to get to the train station, Metro, and buses. There is a super market and restaurants near by. I would recommend this place. Les mer

If you need a hotel close to the train and some of Rome's attractions this is the hotel for you. If you are used to creature comforts like a tub, a soft bed, wi-fi in your room, space this is NOT the hotel for you. The wifi was not existent in the room and not very good in the lobby. I booked a single room for 2 nights. This was my second stay in Rome for this vacation, and I have traveled to Rome on several occasions, so I get it--hotel rooms are small and efficient. This one...well it was the size of a walk in closet. One side of the room had a single bed smashed in between a desk at one end and the mini-bar/15"tv There is BBC […] news and CNN on the tv for English speakers who need a morning news fix. There was about 2 feet of floor space beside the bed and that was it! So yeah, a closet with en-suite bath! The bathroom was fine--marble with shower only, bidet and toilet, minimal soap and shampoo. The room was clean, the service from the front desk was friendly and attentive. Slow Internet only works in a lounge downstairs for a fee. Free breakfast was minimal, but avoid the coffee machine unless you have a taste for instant coffee. Very convenient to Termini Les mer

Staff spoke very good english. Room had everything you would want. Decor was dated but in good upkeep - standard for most hotels in Rome (you come to rome for rome, not a hotel!). Our shower was a bit loose and could easily be fixed so this was a bit careless but apart from that room was perfect. Breakfast was average but again standard in rome, bread […] tends to be not the greatests but fine. Hotel very near to termini train station, and a short walk to all the sights. Overall the location was the the greatest asset of this hotel. The room was tiny, although it was cleaned on a daily basis. It had a snall tv with local channels and two English news channels, CNN and BBC. The room was dirty and dusty. Both the shower and shower rose were broken and we had very little water pressure. The name of the hotel is not at all fitting. This is not a four star establishment. We actually checked out two days earlier, than what we had already booked and we happy to forego any loss.

Best thing about the hotel is its location, close to the central railway station while still being in a decent neighborhood. Another big plus was how quiet it was with the windows closed. There was some small evidence of deferred maintenance but overall very fair deal for the price. It's not a four star hotel or the Taj but it is still pretty nice.

Misleading photographs. There is no romantic balcony overlooking the skyline Just some plastic chairs on a concrete fire escape . No double king bed as requested just 2 twins pushed together . The Hotel is fairly old but well kept, the rooms were small (standard for Rome) but very clean, quiet and comfortable. The location is quite convenient, only a couple of blocks from 2 metro lines (red and blue). It was a good value for the money and perfect for a short stay in Rome within a budget. This hotel has a great location, close to the main rail station just off a quiet square. The staff were great & very helpful. The room's decor was tired but the hotel is due for renovation in August which should hopefully sort the only minor down side.

Hotel Champagne Garden is the third hotel I've stayed at in the area around the Termini Station in Rome, and was by far the nicest. This is listed as a 4 star hotel...but is a really a stretch to call it a 3 star. That being said, It's clean, the breakfast is decent (yes even the instant coffee machine is not that bad), and if you're like me, you will book it for it's functionality...it's convenient to the Termini train station (about 3 blocks & you can roll your suitcases on the […] sidewalks - took us less than 10 minutes), it's in a relatively quiet neighborhood considering it's proximity to the Termini. We did get the "dreaded room" across from the check-in desk talked about in other posts, and yes you could hear voices, but it was not that bad...and during our stay, we were not disturbed during "sleeping hours" by front desk noises. So if you want a fancy hotel...forget it...but if you have specific needs, like being near the train station (we drove to Rome from Siena and dropped off a rental car at the train station, and a few days later caught the train to the airport...perfect for our needs), then this is your place. Hotel Champagne Garden in Rome is a good place to stay. Clean and adequate for the price. Close to the Termini Station and some restaurants. A quick walk to the Metro Underground. Staff was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Adequate breakfast - would have preferred real coffee to the machine! I would definitely recommend this hotel for the price.

Nice little place close to Termini. Its 3 blocks from the via Marsala exit from Termini. Room was a bit small but I guess this is the norm for central Rome. Staff was friendly, we left our bags after check-out until 5 pm.. Breakfast is included in the room rate. Definitely recommend for travelers looking for a centrally located hotel.

Cleanliness: They dont know what is that. Comfort of my room: Shower was not working...bathroom was still under costruction and they probably havent noticed that I believe they dont CARE at all what customer satisfaction means.

What I liked about this hotel is its location: three blocks from Termini Station (which is why I selected it). I felt area is safe. Nice staff. Vincenso at the front desk was very nice and helpful pointing out train stops / streets and main attractions on a map he handed out to us.

I had my worst experience of my Europe trip in this hotel. The hotel looked a bit old, made it rediculas to claim as a Four Star hotel. The hotel staff (the night shift guy) was horrible ! This hotel is small, a bit rustic but has old Italian charm. It is within walking distance of the Termini. The staff all spoke very good English and were most helpful! The airline had lost our luggage and the staff contacted the airline for us and arragned to have our luggage sent to the hotel in our next destination in Italy. They recommened a restaurant nearby ( we asked to advise a very good one regardless of the price) that was under all standards. The hotel was convenient to the station and easy to find. The room smelt, but had a window which opened. There was no tea/coffee making facilities, yet they did bring up some hot water in a teapot on request. Bathroom clean and well maintained, sheets were fresh and well pressed as were the towels. Hello, My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in Sept. The hotel was nice. It was a bit smaller than expected for a 4 star but in fairness it was comfy. My partner was pregant at the time and the staff where fantasic, very helpful and friendly. The location is great....3-5min walk MAX from Tremin Station which is where we got our train from the airport […] too. In the mornings the tour bus arrives at 9.15am at the stations which was great. We walked to most of the sites direct from hotel which was nice to be able to do in such lovely weather. There are some nice places to eat near hotel including a fresh fruit shall and supermarket. The breakfast in hotel is basic. Ham, cheese, breads, fruits, coffee (not nice).....it is ok , it served us well. Would we stay there again....yes. the hotel is about 5 minutes behind the termini station is very convinient if your going to different parts of italy ,remember pack as light as possible the train has overhead compartments for luggage but is hard to carry huge bags and walking around rome looking for your hotel room. breakfast is tipical europe , coffee and sweet breads. a great tratoria […] restaurant behind the museo nazional is called la grotta amatriciana great lasagna!! only 6 euros and try the house wine.. The Champagne Garden is overrated and overpriced. Definitively, it is not a 4-star hotel but an average quality bed and breakfast. They charge you for an Intenet connection that most of the time run really low (so, you can't make calls by Skype for example). The room was comfortable and clean but not a 4-star one at any extent: it had a safety box that […] didn't work, the TV (a very small size one) have just few channels and the bathroom ceiling came with a bad-looking hole (I suppouse for ventilation purposes). The breakfast was fine but not 4-star hotel quality... just a breakfast of ordinary quality. However, the location is great, being very close to Termini Station and just 10 minutes walk from the center but in very quiet neighbourhood. I would recommend it to you but do not have great expectations based on what you read in the hotel's webpage... It will mislead you! Les mer
