Kori Ubud Resort - Ubud

We stayed at Kori Ubud for 3 nights and we certainly recommend this charming hotel with a beautiful infinity pool and spa looking onto the paddy fields. We had a huge comfortable bedroom and the service was impeccble. Only 2 critism: compared to other hotels, the breakfast is only ok and in the evening the restaurant shuts quite early but there are […] plenty of hotels just next to the hotel and one of them is a Michelin star restaurant. The Kori Ubud is a well-maintained and run facility in the suburbs of Ubud. It is marginally within walking distance of Ubud 's town center -- think about 25 minutes braving a roadside with heavy traffic in tropical humidity. However, the location's not as bad as you might think. We never had problems getting the hotel to drive us down to Ubud for a […] small and reasonable fee, and we never had problems finding a cab to drive us back. Also, some of the major attractions and restaurants (e.g. the NEKA Gallery, Naughty Nuri's, etc.) are very close to the resort. Overall, we were fine with the location, especially since Ubud proper can get a bit crowded during the day. The rooms and the environment get better the further away from the road you go in the resort. We were originally staying in one of the two rooms nearest the road, which had substantial amounts of traffic noise. So, we asked the friendly, overworked and utterly competent day clerk (Debbie) to move us to another room down the hill from the road, towards the small river and rice paddies. And what a difference it made! Our second night there, we had an utterly comfortable and tranquil environment, the kind of place we were happy to retreat to, at the end of Kecek Fire Dances and such. Overall, as long as you don't get one of the roadside rooms, you're staying in a well-run, well-maintained and somewhat beautiful resort 10 minutes from Ubud's center, and 2 minutes' walking distance from some of the main attractions. We stayed in this hotel only for 2 nights, the first night we got a very nice room on the groundfloor. The second night we have to moved to other room, because it was booked by other guest before. To our opinion this room should not be sold, because it was noisy in particular in the evening/night when new guest coming. Or take other prevention to reduce […] the noise by putting the floor carpet on the lobby area. Breakfast is too simple for such class of hotel. We expected more ......... Overall we liked this hotel, and hope we can come back and stay again in this hotel. Les mer

It was really nice to stay away fro the more populated coast line. It was very close to everything we wanted to see and the staff will try there hardest to accomendate your every need.

The Kori Ubud Hotel was, in one word, FABULOUS. The room was stunning in its atmospheric simplicity: the bed was lovely and comfortable; the bathroom door itself was a work of Balinese art -- the bathroom tub was enormous -- and the bathroom itself large and well appointed. The air conditioning was more than adequate, and the room was impeccably clean, […] not to mention incredibly sweet-smelling due to the beautiful flower arrangement provided upon arrival and refreshed as necessary. This place is a true Garden of Eden! The breakfast menu is amazing as well, with food beautifully prepared and served by an extremely accommodating, warm, friendly and professional staff. The choices are beyond expectation, catering to both Eastern and Western palates. The daily Shuttle service is a blessing, since the hotel is some distance from the center of town; however, this should not be a deterrent by any stretch of the imagination. The walk is doable for anyone who likes to walk -- and I would even say that it was a pleasant experience -- especially shuttling in and walking back. After eating the fabulous Balinese food, I welcomed the exercise! The two-tiered swimming pool was a delight to swim in, the water was perfect and the falls very beautiful. The only disappointment I experienced was that the jacuzzi was not functional. One of the staff said that they were waiting for a part to arrive from the manufacturer in Australia, so I understood that the situation was beyond their control and that they were doing the best they could to remedy this. I will also mention that if you require total quiet, ask for one of the rooms toward the back of the hotel. It was only in the last couple of days that I really noticed the street noise, but it IS something I noticed and wanted to mention so that any future travelers can have the best possible experience and be totally informed. I was impressed by the Kori Ubud. The room was big and lovely setting. The grounds were well kept and the food was quality. Great restaurants nearby. I will stay there again!

My girlfriend and I spent a week at Kori Ubud and the hotel gave us a very positive stay in Bali. For starters, the shuttle service worked well and we were picked up at the airport in an airconditioned car - well worth the charge. At the hotel, we were upgraded to a larger room than we had originally booked, and it turned out to have a porch with […] a private garden, as well as a comfortable bathroom with a large bathtub. AC worked fine and gave us a nice hideaway from the Bali december dampness. On the down side, our queen size bed was a little hard for our liking, but I'm sure this small problem could have been solved, had we bothered to complain about it. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of their way to cater to our every need, even though their language skills sometimes provided a slight barrier. It never became a big problem, however, and we really enjoyed our stay. The complimentary breakfast was fine and the food in the restaurant (as well as room service) was quite good, and not too expensive. The hotel also provided a complimentary shuttle service to Ubud at set times every day, which was a comfortable way of going into town. We also enjoyed the well kept pool area a lot, cooling off there during the hot hours of the day. Next time I'm in central Bali, I will absolutely consider staying here again. The hotel is clean and secluded and the staff is very friendly. It didn't hurt that we got a very good price either! Les mer

As mentioned in the title, my only complaint would be about the breakfast that gets old after a few mornings. My room was rather big with a humongous king bed (2 full beds put together) and a ginormous bathroom. From an amenity standpoint, WiFi is only available at the restaurant and TV channel options were poor although you probably don't go to Bali […] to watch TV... :) There are half a dozen restaurants within a 5 minute walk around the hotel and it's only a 5 minute ride to the downtown (a 20 minute walk on an iffy but yet safe sidewalk). Like almost everywhere else on the island, English is definitely not the staff's first language but you can always get by and they will do their best to satisfy your needs/requests. Les mer

Kori ubud has super friendly staff, gorgeous rooms, great breakfast included. The pool is spectacular , your own little private oasis!! Only downside is a distance to downtown , however taxi is cheap so no problem finding transport and hotel offers free shuttle. Ibadan a horrible experience with mosquitoes in an upstairs room, entire room would have […] them and even with mosquito net I was badly bitten ruining my holiday for several days as I react badly to them Les mer

Relaxing place. Far from the centre. Breakfast ok. Pools were dirty. Some from the reception wasnt that good in english but still everything worked out. Nice and relaxing place.

Incredibly friendly service! We had a lovely stay, great breakfast and food offered in the restaurant. The hotel is about 20 minute walk to Ubud centre or a few minutes drive. The room was lovely (we had a private garden) and huge, as was the bathroom. The only complaint is of smelly drains in the bathroom, otherwise incredibly good value for money […] and would recommend as a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ubud. Les mer

Our first impression, the property was beautifully set on the gentle slope of the sub-rural ubud (Of which the town of ubud is just 5mins drive away...Of which again the hotel provide free shuttle service) Very welcoming feel, lush landscaping, we even have a private garden just outside the room. Wonderful views from the restaurant and pool, very reasonable breakfast and very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. What a beutiful place, so nice and relaxing and away from the madness of Kuta, the staff are very friendly, they have a shuttle bus that goes into Ubud four times a day or they can take you into Ubud from the hotel if you miss the shuttle service. The only bad thing I found for myself was the bed was very hard ok if you like hard beds. The pools are […] just beautiful and the gardens so well maintained, and my husband and myself had the best massages at the hotel. I could recommend this hotel if it is just a relaxing time you are looking for. Les mer

Good quality hotel and attentive staff. When the air conditioner broke down they fixed it quickly. The location is out of town but their free shuttle service makes up for this and it is a short taxi ride if you need to go at a different time. The only negative was the bathroom, there were ants on the vanity unit & as in other hotels in Bali, it needs […] some refurbishment. Moisture built up on the back of the air conditioner mounting, which in the bathroom causing paint deterioration. Les mer

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful setting and pool complex. Good choices for breakfast, effective WiFi and plesant walk into Ubud. Quiet and relaxing.

Lovely poster bed greeted us when we entered the room and huge bathroom with a gigantic bathtub! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff at the hotel were exceptional with their service. Truly a pleasant experience and highly recommended! Tip: Ask for rooms on second floor of villas.

Everyone on staff was warm and courteous for our entire stay. Everything was great beyond our expectations: staff, facility, food, views, etc. We feel that this is in large part due to Nyana, the manager and his vision of what he wants this hotel to be. We went there planning to have a small, intimate wedding and dinner somewhere in Ubud but, after […] meeting Nyana and seeing the possibilities, we decided to dinner on site. We spent four nights at Kori Ubud and had a really relaxing time. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, breakfast was superb each day. Rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable and the swimming pools were excellent - very welcome after a day's sightseeing. Good restaurants nearby but Ubud is in danger of being destroyed by tourists […] which is such a shame as it is one of the loveliest places I have ever seen. We took the hotel car and driver on two days to see some of the countryside which was great and our drivers were excellent. My only gripe would be the towels - new ones badly needed! Les mer

Insgesamt ist es eine schöne Hotelanlage, die etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Das Personal war immer freundlich, haben aber auch wesentlich besseren Service auf Bali erlebt. Das Zimmer war nett eingerichtet und auch recht groß. JEDOCH: Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers ist mangelhaft. Es war seit Jahren das dreckigste Zimmer in dem wir übernachtet haben. […] Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind fleckig und riechen unangenehm. Das war eine wirklich unangenehme Erfahrung. Alle Räume wurden maximal oberflächlich gereinigt. Im Abfluss der Dusche war ein dickes Haarknäuel. Tote Insekten konnten an verschiedenen Orten in der Hotelanlage entdeckt werden. Fazit: Insgesamt ist das Hotel auf den ersten Blick und im Internet schön, aber der Aufenthalt durch die mangelnde Sauberkeit sehr unangenehm. Les mer

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb von Ubud, jedoch ist das Zentrum mit den meisten Tempeln, dem "Affen-Wald" und den Märkten fussläufig auch erreichbar. Ein kostenloser Shuttlebus wird vom Hotel stündlich angeboten. Das Zimmer ist im balinesischem Stil eingereichtet und sehr großzügig. Die Anlage verfügt nur über 14 Zimmer bzw. Bungalows und man fühlt […] sich individuell betreut. Täglich wurde kostenfreies Wasser in den Kühlschrank gestellt und liebevoll Blüten im Zimmer und Bad verteilt. Das Frühstück, welches À la carte serviert wird, war ausreichend und gut. Zusammenfassend können wir dieses Hotel mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Besonderer kulinarischer Tipp: nach etwa 1,5 KM Richtung Ubud geht eine lange Treppe rechts von der Hauptstraße ab. Oben angekommen finden Sie auf der linken Seite ein Restaurant namens Ibu Putu´s Warung. Ibu Putu ist die Besitzerin/Köchin und Kellnerin. Sehr guten Küche (Nudelsuppe besonders empfehlenswert) zu Spottpreisen. Les mer

우선 저는 발리 도착 첫 숙박으로 이곳을 잡았습니다. 그것은 큰 실수였습니다. 공항에서 이곳은 멉니다. 쿠타 지역에 있는 숙박을 권합니다. 한국에서 이곳에 오게되면 발리에 새벽에 도착하게 되는데 첫 숙박으로는 권하고 싶지 않습니다. 공항에서 한시간정도 거리가 있어 새벽에 택시를 타고 들어가야합니다. 하지만 시설이 깨끗하고 친절하며 가격도 저렴해서 우붓을 여행하면서 머무르기에 좋은 숙박 장소입니다. 저는 할인 가격으로 머물었었는데 구분되어 있는 개인 빌라에 들어갔습니다. 오전에는 아침 식사가 제공되는데 각자 개인 음식을 마련해줍니다. 우리는 나시고랭이랑 닭고기죽(??)을 먹었는데 전통 음식인거 같고 아주 꺠끗하고 맛이 있었습니다. […] 공용으로 사용하는 풀장은 그리 넓지 않습니다. 그리고 택시를 타고 주변을 관광하기에는 편리합니다. Klein aber fein. Habe zuerst eine Woche gebucht gehabt, habe dann noch um einige Tage verlaengert. Die Anlage liegt an der Hauptstrasse im eher edleren noerdlichen Quartier der Stadt, aber ist total ruhig in einem schoenen Garten mit Sicht auf die Reisfelder, wenn auch etwas von Pflanzen verdeckt. Der Swimmingpool ist ebenfalls klein aber sehr schon […] mit einem Wasserfall von einem erhoeteren Becken. Die Zimmer und das Bad sind sehr geraeumig, mit einfacher Ausstattung, aber auch gemuetlich eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Gutes Mittelklasse-Hotel mit familiaeren Flair. Einzig der etwas weite Weg ins Zentrum kann stoerend sein (15 Minuten zu Fuss), weil man z.T. auf Taxis angewiesen ist, die allerdings sehr guenstig sind (verhandeln!!). Shuttle ist zu fixen Zeiten verfuegbar, und auch fuer Extrafahrten gegen kleinen Beitrag. Mehrere Restaurants ganz unmittelbar vorhanden. Wer dem Rummel Ubuds entkommen und trotzdem nicht zu weit weg sein will, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Preis/Leistungsverhaeltnis absolut korrekt. War sehr zufrieden dort und fuelte mich als allein reinsende Frau sehr gut aufgehoben. Les mer

A l'écart de l'agitation, surplombant des rizières, le Kori Ubud est un havre de paix et de zénitude. Personnel avenant et très sympathique, cadre intimiste et chaleureux, superbe décoration, l'esprit d'Ubud est présent partout. La fraîcheur de la piscine (en terrasses, comme les rizières !) est bienvenue après la chaleur de la journée, Il est possible […] de rejoindre le centre d'Ubud à pied au prix d'un petit effort. Sinon, l'hôtel propose 4 navettes gratuites par jour pour vous y emmener. Rien à dire, c'était parfait. Les mer
