Homewood Suites by Hilton Toronto-Markham - Markham

We had a party of 8 people. We booked a 2 bedroom suite with 2 king size beds and a sofa bed. The room is really nice and clean. We enjoyed it very much.

I was extremely surprised at the quality of this hotel considering it is only given a three star. It is very clean and the staff is helpful and friendly and even though it is away from the main streets, it is easy to get to. I was surprised it is behind Costco and across from the Dempsters bread factory. (that is why I gave it a three for surrounding […] neighbourhood) Les mer

We stayed for 2 weeks and the friendly atmosphere and pleasant staff made us feel at home. We wanted somewhere with some self catering facilities due to the length of stay and because we travelled with the kids, but we hardly did any cooking. Breakfast was very generous ranging from hot variety to continental menu. Also, although wasn't clearly advertised, […] we were offered light dinner on Mondays to Thursdays. The accomodation was tastefully decorated with communal laundry area at a small charge, It was nice coming back home without a pile of dirty laundry. The business centre was fully equiped with pc, printer etc. It was a bit out of town but it didn't really matter because it's only 45 mins drive to downtown and yet quite close to some big malls and attractions. Homesuite really made our trip a pleasurable one. Les mer

We had a family reunion ... took 4 rooms for 2 nights. Perfect location for Costco shopping for missing supplies and nice dining out at nearby Gourmet Chinese restaurants. The hotel's complimentary bf and evening was a nice touch. Always a pleasant stay at Homewood suites anywhere in Canada or in the States. We'll be back SOON! Thanks!

Defenitely recommend,nice hotel inclusive ref.,microwave, 2 full bathrooms,free breakfast & internet,parking accesability well comeback again in the future

The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were prompt in responding to calls for more towels. The layout leaves a lot to be desired; even though we were upgraded to a slightly larger room we had to walk a single, winding hallway off the elevator to get to it - no quick route anywhere here, except maybe the fire escape. The pool […] was a joke - the tiles around it seemed to be engineered to provide less traction when wet. "Heated" is apparently a very subjective description with these people; it was freezing - it would have been warmer if unheated and outside. Also, one of the metal ladders had a sharp angle that one of my children cut themselves on by simply using it to get out of the pool. We quickly left the area as it was unsafe in my opinion. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was free - and for a reason! Stale toast, powered eggs and soggy tater-tots were on the menu. You could make your own waffles though and I suppose that they were okay - the kids liked them. Watered-down juice and coffee like crude oil rounded it out - McDonald's puts on a much better breakfast, but hey it was free with the room so what can you expect? Les mer

The bathroom had strong smell of tobacco. (We were with 3 kids (toddlers) and that was an issue for us) Wanted to speak to a manager - it was her day off. Asked a manager to call me back - never got a phone call from her. Asked hotel clerk to move us to another room - was told that they did not have another room available. The room was tiny so i upgraded. Unfortunately the faucet in the tub leaked, the heating broke down in the middle of the night and the maid tore my luggage. The manager has yet to call me.

I loved thishotel

We enjoyed out stay there, we were suppose to get a 2bedroom suite but they gave us a 2 1 bed room suites which were adjoining. We loved the extra space.

The hotel was new and clean. I got a cheap non-refundable rate for a huge room. They have free breakefast and dinner.

the suite was prefect: 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, 2 kingsize beds, 1 living room, 1 kitchen, so the price is very very good. But only one thing was not very satisfaction, for this suite, our 3 persons (2 adults, 1 child) should be accepted, but we were charged 10.00$ more for the extra person. the breakfast was good enough, the parking was included. […] the gymnasia is 24 h. And everything is very clean. Les mer

The overall stay was wonderful other than I stayed in a spa room and the faucet for the bath tub was installed incorrectly. I am a plumber by trade and have been working alot and took my wife on a get away to spend some time together. The hot and cold taps were backward and the cold would not let any water through. That rendered the hand spray useless […] because it was scalding hot and I had to make a bucket brigade with the ice box to put cold water in the tub to be able to use it. I told them at the front desk in the mornig and they said thanks for letting us no as if they didin't already. No compensation was made. Les mer

I think this hotel allows pets. When we checked into the 6th floor of this hotel we found a couple fresh smelly faeces right across the elevator. They were there for a full over 24 hours before someone removed them; but the carpet was not clean. An unsightly slain for the whole 4 days we stay there. Kind of poor management, I guess.

This was a very nice hotel. Very convenient location, especially if you are going to the Pacific Mall area. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was, although the noise from outside was almost completely muted, the sound between rooms could have been greatly improved. I could hear every time someone got up to use the bathroom during the night- […] and what they were doing. Yuck! Les mer

This hotel was beautiful!!! It was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our vacation. I wished we could have found more of them along the way. We had a king suite with jacuzzi, full kitchen and sleeper sofa. It was perfect for our family. The bed was glorious!!! We will also be shopping for a new mattress...it was amazing! The best nights sleep […] I ever had! Coming back to the hotel after a long day of sight seeing and relaxing in the jacuzzi was amazing too. The breakfast had a good selection. My only complaint was that the "hot" stuff kept running as there were so many people in there we mostly at the cereal and cold pastries and fruit. Overall this hotel as great! A 5 star vacation at a 3 star price. (in fact in Niagara Falls we paid $400 a night and it wasn't nearly as nice) Les mer

We had a very luxurious 2-bedroom suite with king beds in the rooms and a full sleeper sofa in the living area, inside of a beautiful hotel. There were 3 televisions so no one fought over the channels. I could actually live there as there was a full kitchen, stocked with everything needed for cooking, except the food, which you could have delivered […] if you choose to do so. The two beautiful bathrooms cut our hygiene time in half. The bed was so comfortable; it held my body like a glove so I slept soundly and woke refreshed. It was more comfortable than my bed at home. I am going shopping for a new mattress now. The linens were plush and smooth. The decorations were bright and pleasant. I did not want to leave. As a matter of fact, I tried to extend our stay but the hotel was sold out. People know what's good. My only complaint is with the dining area; there should be dress and other rules. People should not be allowed to enter the food area if they are improperly dressed (pajamas, uncovered hair rollers, dirty), have visible crust in their eyes, are very intoxicated, or have little control over their children. The food was mostly well prepared and tasted good. I had an unpleasant experience with a couple of eggs that had been boiled so long that they were as hard as leather. However, all of the eggs were not like that and I will not hold it against them because it was made up for by everything else that was pleasant. There was a little pool, workout room, and computer area on the first floor. The location was very close to a mall and numerous restaurants. We went to Wonderland, which was nine miles away. Tlhe hotel is A plus but the internet was not working in our room or the lobby and if you are there for business than it was dissapointing we did talk to the manager and the receptionist but at the end of the day or the week we were there we could not get internet service..... that was dissapointing but other than that the hotel is super.....

I posted the "neighborhood" as just okay only because it's next to a warehouse site and a strip mall (not really walking anywhere nice), but the overall location is great! All the stores, restaurants in Markham are literally minutes away. Breakfast was lacking a bit to be honest, as well as their "dinner" that they provide during the week. However, […] not the reason we're really there.... Room was very clean, comfortable, right size, etc. Very new facilities and would definitely recommend this hotel -- would stay there again. Les mer
