Microtel Inn and Suites Houma - Houma

Spent two-nights at this location in Feb 2012. The room was clean, was not smelling bad although I stayed in a smoking room. Eating-shopping locations are within 10 minute driving distance. (nothing available next door). Helpful, nice staff at the front desk. Very satisfactory short-time stay for cheaper than the surrounding hotels.

Staff was incredibly friendly and hotel was nice and clean. For the price it is hard to beat for a quick one night stay. The room and bathroom are not huge but they are reasonably sized for a single business traveller.

I must say everyone was nice, the place looked great, free breakfast, and the room was very nice, I could not ask for more then that .

This was my first stay at a Microtel Inn and Suites and I found the stay to be quite satisfactory. The front desk personnel were personable and quite helpful; found the facility to be clean and well maintained. The room, while small, was comfortable, although the TV was at an unusually high viewing angle. The express breakfast was good, with all food […] items being fresh. Parking lot lighting was particularly good. One complaint, I had reserved the room through Hotels.com and had reserved a "Non Smoking" room but that request had not been properly communicated to Microtel...fortunately they had one remaining Non Smoking room to meet my request. The microtel in Houma on MLK was clean. The room was very dated with one wall covered in mirrors. Able to sleep four well. The bathroom was small with little counter space to place your make up bag or shaving kit. The tv was situated above a closet that was a little scary looking (as if it would fall). There was a small fridge, blow dryer and coffee […] maker. The pool was very small and seemed like an "after thought" to me. Overall it slept us well and the neighborhood was safe. If I need another room in Houma tho I think I may try some place else. Les mer

The hotel was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good. It was the kind of hotel that I wish I would get all the time. Great for the money too.

Would definitely recommend this hotel... Very cozy and clean....

Our room was very comfy and everything was very clean. The lobby even smelled great as we were walking in from outside. The staff was helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

I had only one problem ,The clerk gave out my room key to person whom I did not want in my room .The clerk never called to see if I knew these people ,or check there ID. If you stay here lock and bolt your door.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room appeared clean and made. Well, with the exception of the coffee maker. It had not been cleaned from the last tenant. I had it cleaned and used it. The next day when my room was cleaned and made, the coffee maker was not cleaned. The filter was not even dumped nor the pot emptied. I did not use it again!

The hotel was very clean. The room was clean and the staff was great. The price was good too. I would stay there again.

Hotel was clean and well-kept. However the walls are paper thin and to get a good night's sleep you would need to wear earplugs.

The hotel room was quite small and hard to move around in. There was a little window seat that was nice for the kids to sit on and watch TV - so that gave us a little more space. The hotel sits next to a heavily wooded area so we did see one large cockroach in the room. Also, due to the wooded area, the pool seemed to have a little more bugs in it than […] your average pool. We told the staff and they quickly cleaned it out. The pool is also a little small, but not many people were using it at the same time we were, so the kids didn't seem to mind. WE ENJOYED OUR STAY HERE VERY MUCH, EVERYTHING WAS READY WHEN WE GOT THERE AND THE ROOM WAS AS EXPECTED. THE DESK CLERKS WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL WHEN NEEDED. THE ONLY THING I FOUND WRONG IS THE SOFA BED IN OUR SUITE HAD STAINS ON IT, BUT SINCE IT WAS JUST THE 2 OF US WE HAD NO NEED FOR IT. OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS VERY NICE AND CLEAN AND ALL APPLIANCES […] WORKED AND WERE CLEAN. IF WE EVERY COME THIS WAY AGAIN I WOULD STAY HERE. IT WAS VERY CLOSE TO ALL MAJOR FOOD STORES AND SHOPPING. The hotel looks new as of May 2010, and the lobby is very comfortably furnished and arranged. The rooms are the smallest I've ever stayed in in a hotel, but I guess that's why it is called MICROtel. The rooms have everything you need including iron and wardrobe and desk, even a very comfortable window seat. The continental breakfast had a large selection […] of food, the pool area was nice, and the front desk staff were friendly & helpful. The staff was very helpful to my needs, they went above and beyond what was expected. I would recommend this hotel anytime to anyone.

I love the location. Close to shopping, food, and most important my grandbaby. The rooms are small, but it was no problem for me. I will definately return there in a few days.

Hôtel récent, propre, confortable et agréable. Belle déco design. Hélas sur une route de zone d'activité! Loin des bayous de Lousiane.Le seul désagrément : la piscine très petite et pas nettoyée (feuilles mortes)Dommage, il faisait très chaud et on aurait apprécié de pouvoir se baigner.

Il ya beaucoup de choses à voir à Houma et ses environs, c'est très étendu; cet hotel permet d'accéder très vite en voiture aux voies rapides . De plus, proche du Visitor center et de restauration rapide. Staff très compétent et excellent pt déjeuner
