Quality Inn University ligger i hjertet av Berkeley, i nærheten av Berkeley Community Theater, University of California - Berkeley og Berkeley kunstmuseum. Ikke langt unna finner du også Gresk teater og Berkeley Repertory Theater.

Enkelt og bra hotell i Europeisk stil (les: litt shabby), meget sentralt. Hyggelig betjening, rent og ikke spesielt lytt. Veldig bra valuta for pengene. Anbefales!

Hotellet ligger meget sentralt til med kort vei til det meste. Komfortabelt, rent og god service. Gratis vinsmaking og nakkemassasje ved siden av resepsjonen fra 17-18 (meget praktisk etter en hektisk dag med sightseeing og shopping). :-)

Et fint og rent hotell med hyggelige ansatte. Ingenting negativt å si om hotellet, men nabolaget har en del uteliggere i noen kvartaler ned mot sentrum. Opplevde derimot ikke noe ubehagelig. Det er også svært kort vei ned til sentrumsområdet og Market street, og taxi er veldig billig slik at man slipper å gå på kveldstid. Fint hotell i forhold til hvor billig det var!

Hotellet ligger svært sentralt både for shopping og opplevelser i San Francisco. Vi trivdes svært godt der, og vil sannsynligvis vurdere hotellet neste gang vi skal til San Francisco. Hotellet er litt slitt, men rent og hyggelig. Personellet er ikke overhjelpsomme, men tar man kontakt og spør om hjelp så hjelper de deg!

"Nice room, good location, great value"
The room was very clean, had been recently remodelled, has an airconditioner, and is a 10 minute walk from downtown Berkeley BART.

The hotel is great for someone who isn't looking for a pool or jacuzzi, but just a comfortable place to stay. That it is. The rooms are small but the beds are very comfortable, there is free bottled water, coffee, microwave and frig. The rooms are also very attractive and clean inside. The location was perfect and the staff at the front desk was friendly. I don't like the neighborhood though. I also feel the room is pretty small.

"cleanliness"
coffee maker has not been cleaned, faucet needs to be changed as the handle falls off, carpet is clean but the pillows needs to be washed, as it smells od sweat.

"Saved money but...."
We had a family emergency and booked three rooms for several nights. The front desk gave away the downstairs room we reserved for my disabled Aunt and our only solution was to move our Uncle upstairs. The staff did not come up with this solution, we did, and they did not assist with the move. Then we had issues with the keys to one of the rooms. For […] at least 2 days the key would not work, and the staff had to let my Uncle into his room each time. Refrigerator in our room was unplugged, it appeared to be broken. There are several other similar priced hotels in the neighborhood if we go back I will probably try one of them. Les mer
"Decent motel"
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The only negative thing was that the room was completely cramped with furniture, so there was almost no free floor space, which was sort of annoying when trying to get in and out with a baby and stroller. But you shouldn't expect more from a motel this cheap. If I needed to stay in Berkeley for a few days […] I wouldn't mind staying at this motel. For a longer stay I would find something else. Les mer

"Horrible customer service and they just walk in"
when you are naked they just walk right in. We showed up a day late due to an emergency and they would not give us back the deposit for the day we did not stay. horrible experiance do not go there.

parking is too small, after work we have to get there early to get parking and than take a little walk to find something to eat because if you take your car you may end up having no more parking

"Quality Inn in Berkeley, Ca."
I checked in late and the desk person was very helpful with directions for the next day. He remembered me the next morning as I checked out and asked if I needed anything. Very helpful and my room was perfect for me. The microwave and refrig was great. Would definately come back as a perfect location, esp. having never been here before.

The rooms were older but well kept. There was not much room around the beds, but everything was clean. The motel staff was friendly and helpful. We left surfboards on our car and didn't have any trouble with theft. There was a monitor of the parking lot in the lobby. It wasn't luxurious, but it was clean and comfortable and easy to find.

The room we stayed in had a king bed with only maybe two feet walkway between tv stand. Room had a microwave and a mine fridge. Parking is limited. sub par breakfast in the morning.

My bf and I stayed in a king room-room 107 which was in the corner next to the washer and dryer machines. Since it was in the corner, the room's presentation was weird. The bed faced a window that had a view of a stone wall, and the tv was place on the same wall as the main door, which made it very difficult to watch TV in bed since the bed was facing […] a different direction than the TV, and the TV could not be moved to give us a better view. Also, they only gave us one thing of soap, this meant that we used the same bar of soap for washing our hands and for the shower. Likewise we only had one waste basket which was in the bathroom, so our take out leftover food went to the bathroom wastebasket which seemed odd. Our towels appeared to be very old, and one even had black stains on it. Lastly, I was not told upon check in on what time was checkout, so i figured there would be something in writing in the room-nope, couldn't find anything, we had to call the front office-btw it was 11am. Pros: The hotel room was within walking distance to downtown and the Cal Berkeley and the front reception worker was really nice and allowed us to leave our car parked in the parking lot even after we checked out so we can get breakfast. I would stay here again because of the location and price. Les mer

"Excellent place"
I'm hesitant to admit how wonderful this place is because I don't want them to raise their rates. This motel is a real deal for a simple place to sleep. My kids and I stayed one night because we were just in the area for a short family visit and to check out the UC Berkeley campus. The location is ideal, and the room is so new and comfy. I went to Berkeley for an orientation, and I was looking for an affordable place to stay for the night. I found this hotel, and was pleased with the price, location, and reviews it had received. The room was clean, the shower good and the bed fairly comfortable, but we reserved a king bed and got two doubles, our refrigerator did not work, and the ice machine was right outside our window and was very loud. Clean, convenient, and cheap. I enjoyed my stay in Berkeley.
I was surprised to find my room not ready when i got there on A Monday @ 215p had to wait not ready til 233p. Room was very clean, bathroom spotless, slept in king size bed,not too comfy. Pillows were too soft. Tv was too conplicated to work. The dish network was not available,but the continental breakfast was wonderful and filling and staff were courteous. "Easy to over look"
The pictures don't do it justice. Granted, it is not for people looking for a pool, hot tub or spa type hotel, but for folks just needing a comfortable place to stay, it's perfect. The rooms inside are really nice. The furniture is attractive, flat screen TV, a fridge that actually works, micro wave, iron, blow dryer and of course a coffee maker. Excellent […] wireless reception. In the lobby they have an fantastic one cup coffee maker with a super variety of coffees and Dove hot chocolate. The desk clerks are super nice and it is in a safe neighborhood. Close to 4th Ave, great shopping, and Shattuck Ave. I stay here often for work. It's my go to place for the east bay area. Les mer

Great room! with everything I anyone can need. Small but spacious at the same time. Furniture was modern. Love flat TV. Very clean. Employees very friendly. Free breakfast on top of all the good things. Thank you!!

The room was small but clean. It is close to the main street. They do take long to clean the rooms and sometimes leave a body odor behind. I did have to ask them to replace the comforter because it smelled like body odor, they did. There are not enough parking spaces for the cars. Good price for the room.

Overall it was a great for the price. Clean with all features as advertised on the website. Rooms are on the small side and the free Wi-Fi, did tend to come and go. In walking distance of many restaurants, the University, BART and several shops.
"Second Stay"
We stayed at this hotel/motel about a year ago and again just this past weekend. The price is good, its on a main but not too busy street, the rooms are modern and clean, and the beds are comfortable. We will continue to stay here whenever we go to the city.

"Standard Motel"
Had no problems here, all the facilities were fine, TV, Microwave, Fridge, Parking was limited, but at least available. No staff around really, and had to wait until someone showed at reception. the breakfast buffet was in an adapted bed-room. Not very welcoming or personal place. But a convenient location for Berkeley at this rate.

All in all, my stay was a good experience. It is more of a motel than a hotel though. 20 minute walking distance from campus and the Bart station in downtown. A Trader Joe's is 5 minutes away. Fridge and microwave in the room. It's a great value for travelers who are on a budget.

This hotel (really a motel, since the doors open to the streets) is surprisingly nice. I was traveling alone and a little concerned about staying in a motel, but the decor is totally updated, the neighborhood seemed pretty safe, and there are a ton of great restaurants/bars in walking distance. It's close to everything. We walked to UCB, movies and dining. The beds were large and clean. The sink was awesome! There's TV, fridge, microwave, tea/coffee maker and a closet. It's a lot of stuff in a small room, but it was spacious enough.
