Anderson Ocean Club and Spa by Oceana Resorts - Myrtle Beach

Great place to stay. The employees are very accommodating and friendly.The location was great for us, not too busy, but busy enough!Rooms were clean and comfy! We will make this a regular venue!

The Hotel itself was so beautiful, the staff were all so nice and more than willing to help with anything, rooms were perfect and we had a great ocean view. We stayed there for bike week and they were very very accommodating to our bike and trailer! Would recommend this hotel to everyone and we will definitely stay again!

I took my wife to this hotel, let me start by saying OMG we were both blown away, nicest hotel in myrtle beach. The furniture and and appliances were all brand new, it was very cozy, definitely NOT the typical old 1980's cheap furniture. It was NICE, we stayed ocean front so the view from the 10th floor was crazy beautiful. The staff were very helpful, […] helped us find activities and referred us to restaurants that were their personal favorites, which they ended up all being winners. We purposely got a suite room with a king bed and a fold out couch so I could sleep in the living room (I have a cold/cough and did not want to disturb my partner). The king bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, etc. were all great....but once I opened the bed and tried to make it the trouble began. There were no sheets for the bed at all, and the thin blanket […] that was provided was dirty...it had hairs on it. This was extremely disappointing for such an otherwise lovely room. I told the front desk of the situation in the morning and received a lukewarm reaction regarding the issue. Unfortunately I cannot overlook this issue and it dominated my experience. I would not stay at the Ocean Club again and would not recommend it. Les mer

We were very pleased with the service, the layout of our spacious, full-kitchen suite and the care that obviously goes toward keeping the hotel fresh. The Anderson Ocean Club and Spa was a great holiday getaway for my wife and me. It's right on the beach and convenient to everything in Town. We have found the perfect place to stay in Myrtle Beach.

This hotel is beautiful and located right on Myrtle Beach. I loved the ocean view from our studio guest room. The room was equipped with cooking utensils and a lot of open space. It felt as if we had an apartment on the beach. My only concern was the condition of the bed linen. The sheets were old and "bumpy" and the comforter was scratchy. The Anderson Ocean Club is a wonderful hotel right on Myrtle Beach. It's about a couple of miles from the famous Boardwalk & located near shops & restaurants. Kings Hwy is just one block up where there are lots of restaurants & stores. Really enjoyed our stay at the Anderson Ocean Club,but it was off-season. No crowds!

Stayed in a 3 bedroom suite with a group of friends. Great value, very comfortable room and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

My stay at Anderson was nice overall. Didn't have any washclothes first night had to call for some, guess cleaning crew forgot to stock them. Room wasn't cleaned second day when I stepped out at first, came back called front desk to request it be cleaned at 1:00pm since I would be stepping out again. Returned from massage at the Awakening Spa, whole […] hour later room still not cleaned....extremely upset about that as I was ready to relax but instead had to call yet again and left the room while it was being cleaned. That wasn't good!!!!! Bed was softer than I prefer but still good. Overall really nice place to stay...staff must pay closer attention to detail and not leave things out when cleaning such as washclothes. Les mer

rented 1 bedroom condo for 2 nights. great layout . could sleep 4 comfortably. ocean view was great and quality of unit was great ,down to the granite countertops

This is the nicest hotel in the area! We didn't know they had become affiliated with Hilton but the were in the process of renovating all of the rooms to Hilton quality. Although ours wasn't fully remodeled the flooring was all new and there were other little updates already. The hotel is positioned so all the rooms have a great view! We really loved […] how close it was to everything we wanted to do, the boardwalk area, the strip, and even broadway at the beach was just minutes away! we checked out the indoor pool which was great! it was heated and perfect for a warm morning swim in early November! all in all we loved it, we will stay there again, and we will recommend to anyone traveling! While the resort is very nice, there are just as nice hotels for a little less expensive. My carpet had stains in it and the tub wasn't as nice as some of the other hotels I've stayed in. Overall it was nice and ok, but I just think you can find one just as nice at a cheaper price. This was such a nice hotel/condo with separate bedroom, nice kitchen and dining area. The pull down bed was a plus since it was firmer than the master bedroom bed and I have a bad back. Ocean front view with large balcony was also wonderful. The only negative was that we could not get cell phone service, we have AT&T and it only worked while we were […] on the balcony. Stayed here a couple of years ago 2 or 3 and I was quitge disapponted in the look of the furniture and the carpe looked terrible. I was disappointed totally in that aspect of it. I ha been bragging on this hotel but I can tell it has taken a step down and not for the better. Sandra

Our stay at the Anderson was wonderful. This resort has it all. Our room was actually a suite, complete with separate bedroom, full-size kitchen, living room and dinette area. We chose oceanfront accommodations, and the view was fabulous. The rooms were very clean, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. All were also very friendly and […] caring. The location of the Anderson was excellent and not far from the boardwalk. They have indoor and outdoor pools, along with a lazy river and oceanfront bar. Absolutely gorgeous place. Beautiful apartment, excellent price. Stunning views. My only critique is that there were hairs on the outside bottom of the toilet bowl and a hairpin on the bathroom counter, so I had to re-wash the bathroom. It is a nice hotel and in a good location. What I liked the most is that even I booked a studio, it had W/D and a full kitchen! It was pretty spacious and very clean which is always the most important thing form me. I did not use any of the beach and pool facilities. We recently stayed on the 18th floor in room 1810. The view was absolutely amazing and every morning, we had the joy of watching dolphins swimming in the ocean. The accomodations were pleasing, but we did find the living room furniture uncomforable to sit on for any length of time. Personally, we would have preferred to have at least one reclining chair […] in the living room. A jacuzzi tub would have been appreciated as well, but the accomodations were cleaned superbly each day. Our hats are off to the cleaning staff. They were wonderful. As much we did thoroughly enjoy our recent stay, we do agree with comments made from other recent guests. The lazy river truly is very small compared to others in the vicinity. The parking garage is difficult to manuever around and guests who make the choice to drive their own vehicles do have to drive on or above the 3rd story of the driving garage which is a block away. An enclosed walkway between the resort and the parking garage, if at all possible, would be a perk. We question the security of the parking garage. Anyone can walk in. There appears to be no, or very little, security. Nothing against the gentlemen who provide the valet service; they were all very friendly, but we prefer to drive our own vehicle. We would recommend this resort to others, we would just make that recommendation with the above information so that others are aware before planning their own vacation. Les mer

The room was huge with a queen size bed (although I prefer a king) as well as a full kitchen. There is also a washer and dryer which came in extremely handy as the Myrtle Beach visit was the end of a long vacation that started in Charleston and a cruise to the Bahamas. So it was definitely nice to be able to get laundry done while exploring the city. […] The flat screen TV was smaller than I would have expected and did not include HD channels. That's kind of disappointing although we rarely watched any TV during our 2 night stay. The parking situation isn't exactly ideal. They have valet parking, but who wants to spend $8 a day on that? Instead, we parked across the street (by the hotel's miniature golf course), but there were limited spots which were oftentimes already taken. It was a bit of a pain to find somewhere to park without concern. We didn't use them, but there were 2 outdoor pools (neither was more than 4 1/2 feet deep) as well as a LAZY river. That was kind of a joke. There was also an indoor pool along with a jacuzzi. It's kind of weird that you have to walk across the indoor parking lot (where the bellhops and valets are) to get to the pool as well as the beach. They will provide free towels, but if you want a chair and/or umbrella for the beach you have to pay for them so bring your own. The staff was friendly and courteous. As soon as we got up to our room and were getting settled in, the front desk called to make sure everything was to our liking. Les mer

The hotel is fine, but don't expect a 4 star hotel if you're an experienced traveler or have a higher standard. While it was structurally nice, the staff wasn't friendly, several basic items that I would expect for a 3 or 4 star hotel were definitely missing, cleanliness of the room wasn't great and when I asked for certian things or for a problem to […] be corrected was told they were unavailable or that nothing could be done. The room was pleasant with a full kitchen and carved, wooden furniture. Service was quick. We had a problem with a balcony door. Maintenance arrived 10 minutes or less after we called. The problem could not be fixed that day, so the hotel gave us an identical room and sent a bellman to move our luggage to the new room.

More than pleased with our room, surprised to find whole kitchen, even washer/dryer. The king bed was very comfortable. Definitely an upper quality hotel, would stay again. Great time of year to go, weather was beautiful & it wasn't too crowded. Everything was very clean. Check out Travinias Italian restaurant at marketplace commons, great food!

Hotel has been undergoing some changes. Hilton Vacations owes part of the hotel (time-share program) and someone else owns the rest. Don't expect to get any Hilton Honors points as they do not give them. Staff is very friendly.
