Manathai Resort ligger i Thalang, i nærheten av Surin-stranden, Laem Singh strand og Phuket Fantasea kulturelle temapark. Ikke langt unna finner du også Bang Tao strand og Laguna Phuket golfklubb.

Et fantastisk sted litt utenfor alt bilbråk og bystøy.:) Perfekt for avslapping og nytelse av god mat og drikke med lyden av bølgesus som "bakgrunnsmusikk". Fantastisk service,!

Flott hotel med egen strand helt uten innpåslitne selgere og med flott basseng. Begynner så smått å merke alderen når det gjelder generelt vedlikehold i noen områder. Meget godt og velutstyrt treningsrom bemannet til enhvær tid med innstruktører som ga råd. På kvelstid var alt stilt/rolig etter 23.00. Varierende service. Noen meget bra, noen upersonlig/uengasjert og varierende kvalitet på renhold av rommet. Stor andel russiske gjester.

Vi bodde 10 dager på hotellet, og er superfornøyd. Høy kvalitet på service, rom og basseng. Fikk gratis oppgradering av rom ved ankomst, samt at personalet alltid var serviceinnstilt og hjelpsomme. Frokosten var vel sånn midt på treet, men hva gjør vel det når resten var tilnærmet perfekt. Bra beliggenhet, sentralt og greit. Fyllte 40 år under oppholdet, og uten at noen hadde sagt fra, stilte hotellet med kake på rommet på dagen. Det har jeg aldri opplevd på mine reiser før! SPA avdelingen var noe for seg selv, og må bare oppleves. Vel hjemme i Norge, må jeg bare se tilbake på et fantastisk opphold, som var verdt hver eneste krone !

Vi bodde her første natten i Phuket, og for oss var dette et perfekt sted å slappe av før vi dro videre.

"New versus old part"
We stayed first at the old department, which were a bit worn out and lacked proper cleaning. We managed to be relocated to the new wing at a wonderfull room in two floors. The quality of this room saved our staying at Manathai and resulted in an overall positive scoring. The staff was very good and very nice.
"A very good hotel to stay!!"
It was our second stay in the hotel as we liked it last time. Don't want to mention the staff and the hotel itself, have nothing disappointing to say. A very beautiful one with friendly and helpful staff. I left my charger there and they sent it to me to another thai province. Plus, we checked out and still had an opportunity to take a shower and spend […] the rest of the day in the lobby. Cocktail party every Friday and complementary tea every day have become a nice and very pleasant bonus. The bad impressions are very personal: too many people. Sometimes it may be really irritating. During high season the beach seems a bit too crowded to me. The food and anything else around is a bit overpriced if you compare to other provinces. These are "winter disadvantages" I guess, and have nothing to do with the hotel and it's staff, they are great anyway. Thank you for this stay, we will be back! Double deck rooms are great along with pool suits. Equally priced. Les mer
"Stay away from the cheapest rooms"
We booked in to Manathai and stayed in the cheapest rooms available - described as "Lanai Deluxe". The initial room we were given had a connecting door to a room that was wide open next door with no door knob or lock on it - it didn't feel secure. It didn't have a window but rather a glass brick section of the wall that let in natural light. When i […] attempted to have a shower, the bathroom fan didn't work, and the shower head fell off at the wall. The bathroom felt dirty, but i think it was just that it was old. They put us in another room with a working shower and a window that opened ... onto a construction site and main road. Again, the bathroom was old and poorly maintained, this time the shower was situated in the bath which was difficult to get in and out of. We were definitely expecting something nicer for a 5 star resort. Another observation was that the locks on the rooms were pretty token. If you're worried about security, and used to electronic locks, you may feel unsafe. We kept all of our electrical stuff in the safe in our room. Having said this, the communal areas, including the beachside area, were lovely. It became clear that the cheap rooms where we were staying were in an older part of the hotel. If you're planning on booking one of the more expensive rooms/apartments, read another review, because our experience may not be applicable. Les mer
"Manathai Surin Beach"
The hotel is a little aged but overall the service and hotel itself were very satisfying. We were upgraded to a pool suite (private pool for the room) which was a larger room. The room was lovely but there was a strong sewage odour from the toilet however I think this may just be a Thailand thing. Overall the staff were excellent, breakfast each morning […] was great with an omelette chef and we both really enjoyed our stay there. We had a 15 month old infant with us and the hotel was very accommodating of him. I would highly recommend the hotel and if we return we will again stay at the Manathai. Les mer
"Read this before booking"
I am not of of those negative people who like to complain, but there are things one must know before booking. 1) Surin beach (what's left of it after the freak monsoon) is nice, but waters aren'r calm and shallow; also gets deep quickly. Few hotels, little nightlife (seems idyllic, but can be boring). 2) Hotel looks really lovely at first, but it does […] look tired, not a 4 star as little comunual areas and rough around the edges - trust me, I am trying to be objective, but the tiredness of the furniture, the antz on the table at breakfast, the lack of attention to detail do let it down (original design if kept pristine - absolutely amazing). 3) Room: not been cleaned when we arrived amd even after being cleaned it was not up to my standards, maybe I am used to staying in 5 star properties which are spottelsly clean, but it just wasn't clean - take my word for it. The following days the room was tidied up roughly and not properly cleaned (for sure floors weren't clean). You can notice this everywhere really, so I started feeling uneasy, laying a towel over the sofa as I started hitching (maybe in my mind). In essence, it depends on your standard, would be great for most, but if you are really clean, like pristine environements and 5 star cleanliness, this hotel is NOT for you. I ignored some of the reviews before going but do take my words into account - think about what you like and choose somewhere else (btw, Twin Palms next door looks amazing, pics on webiste do not do it justice Les mer

It was a pleasant experience upon arrival with the staff smiling and helping us answer our questions Its very near the Surin beach and another about 25mins taxi to Patong beach... Very enjoyable stay
"refurbishment needed"
the hotel rooms are starting to feel old, some refurbishment would be welcome. Noise from undelicate guests can be heard during the night. Otherwise personnel was very helpfull and smiling that's the real asset of this hotel.

"Manathai - January 2011"
We just had a fantastic stay at the Manathai with friends for a long weekend. The location is perfect; just a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach of Surin (the hotel provides free sun-loungers and towels on the beach), the rooms and hotel in general is clean, both family and couple friendly and the staff are friendly, attentive and professional. […] It has a nice relaxed vibe and was peaceful. The breakfast could be a little more varied however it it will be good enough for most. The pool suites have nice sized balconies and the pool bar serves a mean cocktail, perfect around 7pm before some fresh fish on the beach! Nearby restaurants (both cheap and more upmarket) are varied and delicious. You could easily spend 4 nights in Surin and not need to leave the town! Will definitely recommend the Manathai to others and will no doubt return sooner rather than later! Les mer

It was excellent! The staff were friendly and the room was very clean. If you're looking for a quiet peaceful time with your loved ones, this is the place you would want to stay! I got the room with a pool but the pool had quite a bit of insects so maybe they could look into this a bit more in future. Moreover, this hotel is near Surin beach which is […] less crowded than Patong. Patong is just massively crowded and not very pleasant. Do visit this hotel and you will not regret it! Les mer

Fantastisk personal gör att jag varmt rekomenderar detta hotell. Satsa på en pool side suit. Mycket lyxigt till en rimlig kostnad. Lugnt läge med bra strand.

Super lækkert hotel. værelset er nok et af de flotteste jeg nogensinde har overnattet i. jeg var der dog kun en enkel nat. lækker morgenmadsbuffet og venlige mennesker. Receptionisterne er dog ikke så gode til engelsk, men det er de jo stort set ikke nogle steder i Thailand, så det må man tage med. Ligger tæt ved Surin strand som er rigtig dejlig. der […] er dog mange mennesker, men det ved man jo hvis man tager til Phuket. alt i alt helt sikkert anbefalelsesværdigt! Les mer
"Manathai Phuket - nice old-fashioned hotel"
It's a nice hotel with a friendly atmosphere. The location next to Surin beach and close to restaurants and shops is very convenient. The are itself is ideal for couples looking for a quiet retreat in more romantic surroundings than for instance Patong city half an hours drive away. The beach is great with white sand, no rocks and pristine blue water. […] The hotel has it's own private part of the beach with sunbeds, free towels and staff. The hotel wasn't build yesterday but is has it's own laid-back charm with a mix of colonial style and traditional Thai decor. The breakfast buffet is great and if you choose to dine at the restaurant you will not be disappointed even if it comes a bit more expensive compared to the rest of the neighbourhood. The service in general is very good and friendly but the level of English varies a great deal among the staff which can cause some minor misunderstandings. In general we will recommend the hotel because of the location and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If you expect 5 star accomodation you will be disappointed but if you are looking for something between 3 big and 4 small stars at a reasonable price you have come to the right place. Les mer
"マナタイリゾート プーケット 静かでリラックスできるスリンビーチ"
夕日がきれいだというスリンビーチのそばで評判のいいホテルを選びました。残念ながら滞在中はいい天気じゃなかったので期待した夕日は見られませんでしたが、静かなビーチでゆっくりした時間が楽しめました。バスタブなしとのことでしたが、バスタブがあってうれしかったです。また宿泊2日目はカクテルパーテクーがあり、タパスと飲み物のサービスがあり、感動しました。ホテルの方は皆、フレンドリーで感じがよかったです。チェックアウト後にもホテルにもどってきたあと、（たぶん）スパの部屋でシャワーを浴びさせていただきました。
Läget på hotellrummet var inte bra.Utanför fönstret var ett stort bananträd som gjorde att rummet blev jättemörkt även än byggarbetsplats med en massa bråten utanför.Blev väckt vid 5-tiden varje morron av en tupp. Ville byta rum men gick inte bra eftersom vi hade betalat i förskott, blev lovat ett rum som vi event. skulle få dagen efter vi kom, men […] tyvärr blev det inte så. Frukosten helt okej. Ett plus var att badstranden låg nära hotellet. Les mer
