Trengte èn natt i forbindelse med å skulle reise på cruise. Hotellet ligger like ved både flyplassen og cruisehavnen, slik at det kun er snakk om en liten drosjetur til 10-15 dollar, samt at hotellet har shuttle til havnen som ligger på ca 5 dollar pr snute, kjørt til riktig skip. Det at hotellet ligger rett ved flyplassen merker man ikke stort til hva gjelder støy. Det eneste som er å utsette er lokasjonen i forhold til f.eks spisesteder og butikker, som gjør at man er avhenging av å kjøre/bli kjørt til butikk eller restaurant, da det er et greit stykke til forts. Men dette koster ikke akkurat mange dollarene.. Dette var mitt andre opphold på dette hotellet, og kommer trolig til å bo her også neste gang jeg er i byen i samme ærend :)

Helt ok hotell i forhold til pris. Rommet noe gammeldags og hadde ikke kjøleskap. Ellers var det rent og pent med 2 gode dobbeltsenger. Fin lobby med en liten bar som ble omgjort til en enkel frokostservering. Betalte ca 25 dollar ekstra per døgn i tillegg for å få hotellet til å parkere/hente bilen i eget garasjeanlegg så ofte vi hadde behov. Parkeringen kunne gjøres billigere ved å hente/bringe på egenhånd.

Godt fornøyd med oppholdet. Svært vennlig og serviceinnstilt personale. Romantisk og stemningsfullt uteområde/bar om kveldene. Rent og pent og minimalistisk stil på rommene. Kan anbefales.

"Ok, cheap hotell, but wrong place"
The crew on the motel blu was nice and did a good job, with a low price and if it was all up to that I would have no problem recommending it. (Except for their breakfast, witch was only some donuts and terrible caffe.) We also got some strange looks and comments, when we told locals where we lived. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff! rooms were cleaned everyday by a friendly cleaner only downfall was that the hotel needs a bit of a refurbishment as in new decor and interior.

"You get what you research for"
Motel was in class of M_tel 6. Rated 2 stars. I agree. I called ahead to make sure pool was filled and working (It was, I never used it). Several people told me it was in a "Bad neighborhood". It probably was. we used it to sleep in and we slept through the night. The "Breakfast" was nothing more than brewed coffee, thawed coffee cake. I drank the coffee. […] Room had no iron/board, or other amenities. For the price, it was fine. I paid forty dollars more for our final night and stayed closer to South beach. Wasn't much happier there. Suggesstion is stay close to the action so you can rest in the room and then back to the beach, bar or whatever you fancy. The time going back and forth via bus could have been spent doing other things. Weather was a factor though. Les mer

Horrible area, horrible rooms, horrible everything! I felt dirty, just pulling into the parking lot! It does not look very well maintained and they charge WAY too much for what it is worth! The bathroom in my room, did not even have a mirror in it, meaning it was supposed to be there but had been torn off.... The beds were very uncomfortable, the room […] smelt like mold. "A good deal"
Motel Blu is well situated. Room was a little "tired" but nevertheless comfortable. It was well equipped. As weather did not permit didn't use the lovely pool. The breakfast area could however be upgraded a bit, as could the breakfast. All in all a good deal

This was not a good place; there was no accessories. No dresser to store my clothes, no mini frig, no chairs or talbe to put a clock, radio,etc. I would never refer anyone to this place nevermine going back there again. The advertisement is the only thing looking good and that's to get business. They have a room that is the advertisement room, and […] that's next to the pool. The Blu Motel is in an excellent location to reach downtown venues via public transportation. Access to the beaches was within Walking distances via Public Transportation. I felt my possessions were safe and the staff was engaged enough to be visible and cognizant of their surroundings. The Owner Chris was on the property and accessible. If any complaints […] were lodged, he was there to take care of them immediately. Access to decent restaurants such as Anise/ Excellent Greek Cuisine across the street. My vehicle was protected. "Blu was a bust!"
Our cab driver was hesitant to take us to this location. He said itwas an unsafe neighborhood. There wasn't anyone in the office when we arrived. Our room was bare except for a TV that only worked on one station, two beds and a table with the TV on it. No lamps, no chair, only 2 thin towels and a torn thin curtain on the window.
I hate to give negative reviews, so I will start with the positive. The staff, front desk and nighttime security, was very nice. Unfortunately, the hotel is a dump in pretty much every respect.

Overall u get what u pay for,My room was jus like the pics seen,the other areas were'nt like the pics seen.Animals surrounded the place where the cookin was going on,so eat there at your own risk,also the backyard was stinkey,and moldy smell but for one nite ok,not more than that

This was by far the best Motel I have ever stayed at. I was treated like a King from the moment I got there. Please, do not believe the bad reviews about Motel Blu, it was a pleasure to stay there and I will stay there again when I return to Miami in Oct,11. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

"Awful Hotel Do Not stay Here."
We booked this hotel in a rush without reading the reviews. I wish we had now. The rooms aircon was awful with great big gaps in all the doors and round the aircon. The beds were very uncomforatable and the the pillows were very flat. The secure parking is very questionable as they turn the carpark into the parking for the restaurant next door so […] theres very limited parking in what i would call a rather dodgy area. The hotel is located right next to some sex clubs and there was all sorts of groups of people handing about. The room it self appears to be missing furniture as there was just a random space in the room. I suspect it was susposed to have the fridge etc in out room which was missing. There was also no TV Remote. Also to note i did find some nails just partually put in the room floor. would have been very painful to tread on. The pool area we didnt use as it looked rather untidy and it was quite regulary full of some unsavory people. The Cleaning of the room didnt happen and the rooms wernt touched for the couple of days we were there. This is a place i would not be recommending to others and had wished i had never booked. This was not a great hotel at all I didn't even have face cloths to wash my face nor did they have any in the office, the pillows were flat as pancakes the rooms were not good at all the curtains was hanging on a very cheap alumnium rod and was hanging off about to fall I couldn't open my curtain if I wanted to, large garbage cans in front of my room […] over flowing and smelly and the air conditioning was not working so I had to switch rooms I can go on but I'm done I will never stay there nor will I recommend that hell hole to anyone I pics online were very decieving I would have never chosen a place for me and my kids to stay like that.... The air conditioner didn't do well do to the fact of the location of it. it blows directly on the lower part of the bed ,restricting the air flow. The refrigerator did not keep the food and beverages cool enough.

The service wasn't good. The rooms weren't cleaned everyday. It was very hot inside the room as neither the Air conditioner nor the fan provided worked properly. Complimentary toiletries also weren't provided in a timely manner.

We had read many of pages and reviews about this motel, nothing compared to our experience rude staff the week before we went up we had to call the hotel numerous times being placed on hold for 20 minuted then hung up on there is over 65$ in long distant fees and when we finally talked to the manager he was in a hurry to get my friend off the phone […] very unprofessional when we asked to speak to the manager the girl told us he would be in monday and he would come to our room we never sen the manager. Cleanliness haha well our room only got cleaned one day and all that consisted of was fresh towel they left the dirty ones in there didnt epty the garbage and we had to ask for toilet paper, there wasnt even a phone, alarm clock hair dryer in the room you could rent a hair dryer but it took over 45 minutes to blow dry my hair and i have short bob! you could use the phone in the lobby but when you asked for it the young man got snotty about it and told us not to be long casue they only have 1 line yet it was ok for him to fool around with his buddy on the phone after having to wake the night boy up neumerous times he was rude to us as if we did something wrong do your freaking job! we needed a wake up call and they do them by knocking on your door amazingly the kid did it but he was 20 minutes late. I wouldnt have stayed the whole time at Motel Blu if it wasnt for the amazing people we met there and the pool was the only plus side cause we could use it whenever! I wouldnt recommend Motel Blu to anyone I wouldnt stay here if it was the last Motel in Miami again, I was very unimpressed and for my first vacation very dissapointed it will take alot to get me to go back to Miami Les mer

"Terrible Hotel!Most awful place I've ever stayed!"
We stayed in room 109 right outside the pool. First of all the room was in terrible condition. The sink leaked under the cabinet and they had a small bucket to catch the water which continued to fill up and smelled horrible. The toilet had difficulty flushing and never flushed completely. The only thing on the bed was a sheet with a duvet cover (no […] thick blanket). Our feet got disgustingly dirty walking on the tile floor. We couldn't sleep for the people who were partying outside our door no more than 15 feet away that were loud, drinking, and half naked. What a disgusting place to stay and the price of the place was so over priced. The girl at the front desk could care less if you needed help or not. She acted as if she could not see you. You were basically in her face through a glass but she refused to speak first. I couldn't believe it and on the window at the front desk it read - ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND. Well!! I could see why because everyone would get their money back and run a different direction. What a slum of a motel!!!!!!!! It was so gross!!!! If you don't believe this review, I guess you will have to see for yourself and then be mad at yourself for making your family stay in such filth. "Nice place to stay with friends BUT NOT FAMILY"
The hotel's location is OK if you have a car. The service was good, all the requests were taken care of. The neighborhood is kind of intense, drug dealers, beggars, prostitutes, mostly at night though. The rooms are good for those who chooses this motel to crash or because of the cheap price. Not a place for a family vocation. The night guard appeared […] only on the 4th day of our 9 day stay there. There are fast foods Wendy's, Subway in walking distance. Gas station right across the street. 15-20 minutes drive from Miami Beach (don't even need a GPS to get there, it is just two straight roads). "Motel Blu - AVOID at ALL costs"
Please, please AVOID booking this motel - no matter how attractive the prices. The place is an absolute dump. For starters, it is in a very shady neighborhood, next to a strip club. Our room was filthy, with dirty mattresses and curtains, dirty towels, no towel rods in bathroom, no complementary toiletries and NO HOT WATER. It was very cold in Miami […] during our stay and we could not even get a room heater. There was noise from the parking lot until late night. We were traveling with friends and did not feel very safe. I can only imagine what a family traveling with kids and teenagers would feel here. Overall, a very very bad experience. PLEASE AVOID. "Good for price"
The motel is old, but it has what we needed: an ok bed, and a mostly clean bathroom. It has a good location for Miami midtown/design district, and the beaches, but only if you have a car. We had no problems with parking. The restaurant "redlight" next door was amazing. We spent 3 nights over Christmas 2010 and got a great price through hotels.com. We […] only needed a place to crash and didn't spend any time there during day time. For that purpose and considering the price, this motel was good. "Motel Blu, a diamond in the rough"
Amazing front desk staff, clean rooms. If you are looking for a room with all the modern day amenities, such as telephone or alarm clock; then this is not the place. It is the ideal place for vacation. You don't have to worry about setting the alarm or bothersome phone calls. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The hotel is central to everything in Miami but in a questionable neighborhood. I did not have any problems at all with safety or security during my stay. I would recommend the hotel to business travelers.

"Séjour catastrophique"
Ce type d'hôtel ne devrait pas exister, état insalubre : chambre, toilettes sales, lit incofortable, coin cuisine délabré.. Petit déjeuner médiocre, le café est du jus de chaussette, ils servents des espèces de donnuts infects et ridicules. Nous avions réservé pour 9 nuits ça nous a coûté cher, nous sommes restés finalement que 2 nuits, nous ne pouvions […] plus rester de peur d'être malades et attraper une infection. De plus, nous nous sommes rendus compte que la fenêtre de la chambre s'ouvrait de l'extérieur. Quartier insécurisé, mal fréquenté, prostitution, bruyant. Je déconseille fortement cet hôtel, ne vous faites pas avoir comme nous. Lorsque nous avons annulé les nuits, l'hôtel nous a chargé 2 nuits, c'est un scandale, nous avons fait beaucoup de déficit en choisissant cet hôtel. Les mer

"Motel typique Miami."
Pr une nuit mais c'est à faire, on a l'impression d'être dans une série. Et de plus place de parking gratuite.
"Un confort spartiate mais chambre agréable"
Situé dans un quartier peu avenant, les extérieurs de l'hotel laissent fortement à désirer (odeur intenable dans les coursives). Le loby fait penser à un guichet de banque et contient le seul distributeur de boisson de l'hotel. Hormis cela, la piscine est tres agréable, et surtout la propreté de la chambre est sans reproche. Par contre il n'y a rien […] hormis une TV et une veilleuse. Oubliez les frigos, micro-ondes, cafetières... pas même de téléphone ou de radio réveil. Nombreuses possibilité pour manger dans les environs (fast food, petit restau, shushis...) voire faire des courses 24/24. Vous avez même un cabaret pour adultes au numéro d'à coté. Les mer

extram spartanische Einrichtung :Bett, Fernseher auf Komode -fertig.Selbst der Fenstervorhang war zerissen. Zimmer war sehr laut(NR126) ,Strassenlärm, Musik von Kneipe und Zugverkehr. angebotenes Frühstück ist ein Kaffee mit Minidonats-die im Stehen im Gang eingenommen werden müssen!!!!!!. Gegend: im Dunkeln würde ich das Hotel nicht verlassen. keine […] Gegenstände im Auto hinterlassen!! dafür ist es recht preiswert und der Parkplatz ist frei Les mer

"Niet aan te raden"
In een ghetto aan gekomen,heel veel lawaai om je heen,2 handoeken terwijl je met 4 pers bent. Lampen die het niet deden in de kamer,er zat niet eens een kledingstok in de kast dus ook geen hangertjes. En de kamers ruiken erg naar verrottend water. En ontbijt wat aangeboden word koek en oude koffie,dit heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt.
