If the situation was ideal and the building had great charm, i would not say the same of the clerk at the desk. She ignored us for ten long mn before ending her phone conversation, seemed to find outrageous that we required three keys (we were 3) and considered the parking our problem...The hotel had no real service available, and the attendant was […] definitely very rude, especially after a thousand miles drive! Beds were comfortable but the heat in the room didn't work properly and we had hot/cold water issues when using the shower. Bathrooms could use an upgrade. For the money I am sure there are better hotels.

I stayed at the Rodd Charlottetown with my best friend and sister for my sister's hockey tournament. Rodd was the hotel the team was booking with, so I didn't have any choice in where we were saying. I was mainly unimpressed by the unfriendliness of the staff at the hotel. The meal we had for breakfast wasn't worth the money. And neither was the cost […] of the room for the service we received. This was a great place to stay. It was very convenient and close to everything; the staff were great and the room was very nice and comfortable.

We enjoyed the victorian atmosphere of this historic hotel. Staff delt quickly with a problem we had. The only complaint was the air conditioning unit was not working well.

This is a nice old hotel, if you don't mind dated bathrooms with doors that won't latch, beds which are way too soft, flat-screen TV without HD. None of this would matter if you were paying half the price. At least the bottle of wine in the room could have been complementary instead of more expensive than at the local liquor store!

Great location. Room with double bed is very small and bathroom is in need of a reno. Very comfortable bed.

If all bathrooms are the same as the one we had, refitting required: tiles were grungy, the taps (especially shower) were horrible and the wooden toilet paper roll didn't fit properly and the paper kept rolling on to the floor. Continental breakfast would have been nice.

Great location close to downtown attraction, walking distance to theaters, province house. Restaurants and shopping centers.

Pros: great location, nice staff, free parking, refrigerator in room, comfortable (very soft) bed, clean enough, classy front & lobby, roof deck. Cons: small rooms & cramped bathroom, could easily hear into the next room (luckily, nothing crazy), sofa in room had seen better days & could have used a table. If you're looking for contemporary & sparkling […] new, this definitely isn't it. If you don't plan on spending too much time in the room, and you shouldn't (you're in beautiful PEI, after all), the small size shouldn't be an issue. We booked a 1-bdrm suite with pull out. I was clear that the reservation was for 4 adults, however the pull out was only a single bed and very, very uncomfortable, my daughter ended up sleeping on the floor. The pull out was actually broken. When I informed the front desk they didn't seem to be to interested. I asked for a second cot which we used for […] the 2nd night. We stayed at the Rodd Charlotettoen, we were very disappointed in the service, the location, the price and most of all the lack of parking! I spend 70 percent of my work staying hotels on the Atlantic, I can honestly say for the price you pay extremely poor! Upon checkin the staff was very accommondating. I had 2 little dogs that had never stayed in a hotel room before and I was anxious about that. The staff reassured me that they would check on them and take them out if necessary. We only stayed one night but I think all staff on duty knew the dogs by name.

If you ever want to stay in a room where the beds feel like sleeping on clouds than this is the hotel for you. After a whole day of airplane travel, it was nice to be able be on the ground and stretch out and relax. The first thing I do is check out the bed and this bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, I wanted to take the bed home […] with me. There is one other thing that I really liked about the hotel and that is the location. We were four people, the room was small for all of us. Very nice hotel, very charming, very nice location to visit the town by foot. You use key instead of access card to the room. No big deal but you worry about loosing the key. Free parking for a hotel in downtown. The have different containers for garbage and recycling which is nice and not all the […] hotels have it. Good hotel, great location

Walking distance to shopping and waterfront. Clean hotel with nice pool for the kids to use. Couple of small issues result in a less than perfect rating - coffee maker was "one-cup" and did not work properly. But Starbucks and Tim Hortons nearby. Found a sock under one of the beds. Adjoining doors not very sound proof - one loud lady next door around […] 11 pm when we were going to sleep. Luckily not loud for too long and we had a fan to help cover noise. The hotel was very noisy both nights, until 3 am. This was voiced to the main desk who essentially ignored our concern, without even an apology. Sleep was difficult to get. Complimentary water, as advertised, was non-existent. Parking was limited to a first come, first serve basis.

I decided to bring my 76 year old mother to see Ann of Green Gables Musical. I choose your hotel to stay, at first because of being so close to the show. I would choose it again because of the outstanding customer service, the fabulous rooms, the so-so comfortable beds and great breakfast. Two things: 1. The word "dining" is misspelled on the sign on the front lawn. 2. When we arrived, we asked at the front desk if there were bikes for rent somewhere in the city. Neither staff member knew. Yet at lunch at a restaurant, the waitress knew immediately (MacQueen's bike shop on Queen St.). There is at least one other, on University Ave.

Excellent location; park your car in the lot and you can go everywhere on foot. Beautiful walking boardwalk by the water minutes away. Restaurants, pubs, theatre, harbor.... all in close vacinity of the hotel. Hotel staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable. Dinner theatre in the hotel. Our compliments to the staff for managing 2 weddings and a dinner […] theatre on the same night without any disturbance to the hotel guests. Would definitely stay there again. Les mer

We were very disappointed in the condition of rooms as they were very small and had no outlets for charging electronics. Also, housekeeping came into the room while I was resting to check on wine bottles. This should have been done prior to letting us into the room. Lastly the parking was overflowing with cars and no room for guests as a wedding reception […] was booked there. Staying there was a big mistake! Les mer

We enjoyed the vintage - historical aspects of the hotel very much. The roof top balcony was lovely. It was great being able to walk to everything downtown.

We spent 1 night at the Rodd Charlottetown and were very pleased with the quality of the stay. The bedroom had a queen size bed with very nice bedding and good pillows and was very clean. The bathroom was not large and the fixtures were dated but all in good working order and appropriate for an older elegant hotel. The hallways, lobby and elevators […] were also very nice and well cared for. The staff was smiling and very friendly also, both at check in and check out. A nice unexpected touch were the 2 bottles of wine ( 1 white and 1 red) which were in the room and available to purchase for $20 each. It was a nice surprise after a long day of travelling! Les mer

This hotel was a welcome change from some of the "run of the mill" hotels which we have stayed in. It was built in the 1930's and displayed all the charm of this era, but with modern convenience. There wasn't much shelf room in the bathroom though. The fridge was a bonus which we appreciated. The honesty and friendliness of the staff are superb. They returned our cash that we left out in the swimming pool. It is incredible in the present world that we live in.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The location is perfect. We did find the temperature very warm in the hotel so opened all the windows. This resulted in quite a bit of noise from passersby throughout the night but it could have been worse. The hotel needs some updating inside the bathroom. Executive room was small, same size as a regular double. The water in the shower was very difficult to adjust.

Great location. What you would expect in a standard hotel. I would specifically ask for a room without an ajoining door unless necessary for your stay. The doors are age appropriate for the property and don't provide any sound barrier within the rooms. Noise from the hallway wasn't an issue, just from the ajoined room.

Just asked to be placed in a room that is not directly behind the elevator, it is a bit loud.

We had a very nice stay. Beautiful area walking distance to nice parks, wharf and shopping. The beds were so comfortable. People in the Hotel were great. We liked it so much we booked a weekend next month. We found the pricing reasonable and the overall stay better than expected.

My room was freezing, the internet only worked speraticly, and after voiceing my concerns to the staff i recieved a thank you only after asking for one. In addition i was stuck in the elevator for 30 min the morning i left.

建物が老朽しており、部屋のドアが開きにくく、家具なども傷が多かった。 部屋は広いが、バスルームが狭く、小さい洗面台のすぐ横に便器があるため、どう使っても便器に多少の水がかかった。 外国のホテルにありがちだが、シャワーヘッドが固定式で、日本人には使いにくいだろう。水量も少なめ。 デルタホテルもかなりクラシックだが、ここの方が状態が悪い。 ただし、レストランは雰囲気・味・接客すべて素晴らしかった。

　若干古いつくりではありますが、全体的に清潔だったので、「歴史を感じれる」とも思えます。 　宿泊客はKids用朝食がFreeでした。（結構おいしかったです。） 　利点は何より、Down Townへの利便性だと思います。 　小さい町といいながら、レストラン・買い物を歩いていけるのは大変便利でした。

「アンツアー」に参加する為、２泊しました。 とても古いホテルでしたが、ゆったりしたクラッシックなインテリアのお部屋は、むしろ新鮮で素敵で快適でした。 室内プールが朝７時頃～夜１０時までOKだったので、観光後に一泳ぎしたり、朝風呂代わりにジャグジーを楽しんだり、ちょっぴりリッチな滞在もエンジョイ出来ました。 １階のレストランも最初は高級そうで気後れしたのですが、ソフトな接客も感じ良く、お料理のシーフードもとても美味でした。 フロントも皆さんもゆっくりおおらかな応対で好感が持て、街の中心の立地は買い物にも食事にもどこでも徒歩ですぐ行け、とても便利で良かったです。 シャーロットタウンは新鮮なシーフードが安く美味しく、アン観光と共に最高に楽しい旅が出来ました。 追伸：ただ１つマイナス点が・・ネットの […] ホテル紹介には「 （有料だが）空港からの送迎サービスがある」旨書かれていましたが、実際にはありませんでした。「シャーロットタウンの空港はとても小さく、バスなどの公共の足はなく タクシーも数台」との情報に、このサービスはとても有難く感じ、ホテル決めの決め手だっただけに、残念でした。 →実際は到着後すぐタクシーに乗れましたし、「いなくても電話で呼べる」との事で問題はなかったのですが、 正しい情報の掲載を望みます。 Les mer
