My stay was nice. Next time I will ask not to be near the ice machine/elevators. Otherwise my stay was nice.

The chairless room was very uncomfortable. Hotel staff and breakfast were outstanding. Breakfast staff personnel were top-notch.

Considering how expensive the DC subway system is (didn't know this before trip), and the fact that the pool wasn't looking too healthy, should probably stayed downtown. Other than that, pretty nice staff - especially the shuttle drivers, and pretty good breakfast.

Padlo at Hotels.com was VERY helpful is getting our reservation striagtened out

We spent Friday and Saturday night at the hotel. It was very easy to get to off of I-95. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in finding local restaurants and shopping. There is a Metro station not far from the hotel...maybe a mile or so, so getting into DC is a breeze. The daily breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food, and […] a very comfortable sitting area. The room (2 queen beds) was well apportioned with a small micorwave, and refrigerator and a flat screen tv. Since it was in a commrecial area, there was not a lot of view available, but the room let in plenty of light during the day, and the shades kept the room dark at night. The beds had a firm and soft pillow on each side, and they are labeled on the pillow cases, which I found a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, and I did not have a problem sleeping either night.. SUITES ARE NOT ACTUAL SUITES, JUST LARGER ROOMS. REFRIGERATORS IN BOTH OF OUR SUITES DID NOT WORK. CURTAINS WERE OFF THE ROD. SUITES WERE NOTHING LIKE DESCRIPTIONS WE MADE THE BEST OF THE STAY. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD. ALL ELSE WAS NOT GOOD. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

This was a great location. All new metro station, with transportation to the station from the hotel. This is a very African American community, so if that is a problem you should not stay there. Everyone was wonderful to us as the minority, so take it from there.

Our AC wasn't working in our room so they upgraded us to a suite for free, which was very nice. Much nicer than I expected. It was very convenient. Never had to take the shuttle. Was able to park at the metro, which is a 5 minute drive, always parking after 10a.m., no permit needed. Don't plan on using the pool. It was the size of a kiddie pool at best […] and there were about 20 people crammed in it. Overall a pleasant stay. Liked that breakfast was included. We will definitely use the hotel again when traveling to the DC area. Les mer

I traveled with my two children to D.C. and loved the location of this Hotel. Not only was the staff wonderful, the cleanliness was impeccable, the breakfast was delicious and never empty! The staff was ON THE BALL! The room was very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. It's not on the bedbug registry. There were TONS of kids there on DC vacation...but […] WE WOULD HAVE NEVER KNOWN had we not seen them at breakfast....which had plenty of tables for everyone! We had a shuttle to and from the Metro everyday which made it so stress free. My car felt very safe as the location was away from the main stream, but close (4 minutes) to dinner places, Target, etc) I will stay here again!!! Les mer

We just came home from a 4-day stay here with 3 kids under 10-years old. We avoided the Holiday Inn off of New York Avenue in town because it had a $15 per night parking fee and was rated in a poor neighborhood. Holiday Inn I-95 Express Largo is about 10 minutes out of DC. More on that in a moment. The room was completely spotless upon arrival, including […] the bathroom (not even the tiniest mildew spots anywhere). My wife was very impressed that the duvet cover on the bed was actually sandwiched between two linen bedsheets for extra cleanliness. Note that this hotel has NO warnings at all on The Bedbug Registry website, and we can vouch for feeling confident right from the get-go that there would be no problems. Staff was incredible - both the room cleaning staff and Wendy in the breakfast area, who would greet us daily and ask us how we were. We felt like this was genuine interest and more than just management coaching. The hotel is in an industrial park area 30-40 minutes away from the Mall sightseeing area , which actually appealed to us. The other hotels in DC are far too expensive or cheap but in poor areas -- and don't forgot that the city has one of the highest crime rates in the US. In Largo we felt COMPLETELY safe all the time and although the drive in to the city each morning was somewhat cumbersome, the safety aspect of the hotel was well worth it. Wifi signal was strong and throughout the building, which wasn't specifically mentioned on the website. Glad they had it, as we brought a laptop and used it every night to plan where to go the next day. They also have a private 'Business Center' room downstairs featuring two fully equipped computers with printers that you can use for free. Nice touch. With 3 kids, the free breakfast really appealed to us. It had great variety and changed every 2nd day. Right across the street from the hotel is a busy shopping area featuring Costco, Wegmans, Best Buy, etc. Made the kids coughing in the night no problem for a Les mer

I really like this hotel. My room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly.

Easy to checkin. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. This hotel was convenient to Fedex Field, PG Sports Complex, and 95/495. The free wireless access and complimentary buffet was added bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was only a couple of miles away. Everything was easy to find. The pool was small but had a lifeguard and a hot tub. The fitness room was right beside it. The hotel was quiet and conducive for sleep. The breakfast was yummy. Staff were friendly and professional. We plan to stay here again next year.

I made three room reservations - all Non-Smoking. My parents were given a smoking room on a floor two flights above the other two rooms. The desk clerk absolutely was not interested in helping out, and would not work with us at all. This was an extremely irritating way to start our trip, but we had just driven 12 hours from Indiana and weren't too interested […] in trying to switch hotels at that point. (Though we did talk about it.) We were out sightseeing all day every day of our stay, so we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel. Breakfast was decent, no one had any complaints. The pool, though, was murky (YUK!). The hot tub was cold the first night we were there. There were several decent chain restaurants within a 5 minute drive, and it only took us about 25-30 minutes to drive to Union Station in DC - an easy drive. Overall, for the money we paid and for the convenient location, this was a decent value. It certainly isn't a resort, but if you just need a clean place to sleep and shower in between sight-seeing, this place will do the job. Les mer

Everything at the hotel was very good. Staff were professional - but not overly friendly. Included breakfast was above average for a hotel in this price range. I was satisfied with my stay. The hotel was a bit difficult to find -- it's about 200 meters off of a main road, behind trees -- and there are no signs (apparently due to local sign laws).

My husband and I are from Va Beach and had an opportunity to get a night away from town to enjoy the first pre-season Redskins game. We decided because of the game being at 7:30 at night, we'd drive up early during the day, enjoy DC a bit, have a decent dinner somewhere, go to the game and spend the night. I asked for a NON-SMOKING room and I had called […] Hotels.com to find out if I could check-in to our hotel room around 1:00 p.m. as that was the time we expected to have arrived in that area. The customer service representative had me on hold while she called the hotel to get it arranged. When she came back to my line, she said that the reservation would have a note about the early check-in. When my husband and I arrived at 1:00 p.m. we were told the room was not ready and we would have to wait until 1:30. Okay...30 minute wait....no big deal. We went to have lunch and were back at the hotel at 1:30. Room still was not ready. Waited an additional 15-20 minutes. Then when the room was ready, it's a SMOKING room. When I explain that I asked for NON-SMOKING and would rather not stay in a room that could smell of cigarette smoke, I was told there was none available and that when they received the request from Hotels.com that there was no preference listed. How did my copy of the reservation clearly state non-smoking then???? When we entered the room, it wasn't all that bad. Not great, but not that bad either. As I was drying my hair later that afternoon preparing to head out to dinner, my husband informed me to look in the drawer of the dresser. There we found a half eaten pie and two bags of trash! SERIOUSLY?!?!?! When we left to go to the game, we were told that there was a driver that could take us to the shopping center closest to Fed Ex Field and we could walk to the stadium, then we would later be picked up from the same point when we were ready to go back to the hotel. Hotel was in a nice location to catch the train into D.C. But, other than that, there wasn't much around there, just office buildings and the highway. Had to drive a ways to find a place for dinner. This hotel had a very pleasant, personable staf. Reco was an excellent employee. We enjoyed our stay there & it is very close to Fedex Field.

After a long day of driving this was definitely worth it. I booked two double beds and was put in a king size bed. That's just how I felt...like a KING!!! Hotel staff was very friendly on both days!

THE SERVICE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATING. WE WERE 2 HRS EARLY FOR CHECK IN AND OUR ROOM WAS READY. THE FREE MORNING BREAKFAST WAS CLEAN WITH GOOD FOOD - LOTS OF CHOICES. Clean, comfortable, quite and afforable.

There were a number of eating places with in a short drive and shopping. The Metro was close by to take you into Washington DC.

Reasonable rates for a Washington family vacation stay. Service was friendly but it would have been nice to have the shuttle run a little later than 10:00 o'clock.

We had a wonderful experience. Room was a real value and shuttle to and from the Metrorail station made getting into downtown DC hassle free. Shopping and Dining selection in the area was wonderful. Limited pool hours were a bit of a disapointment to the kids.
