Svært fornøyd med oppholdet på hotellet , meget serviceminded personell , god frokost , mulig litt støy i spisesalen , men helt grei mat. Svært hyggelige og imøtekommende personell , både i skranken , og butikken eller han som satte vekk bagasjen. Lett å få tidlig innsjekking og sen utsjekking . Alt i alt , meget bra. Savnet minibar på rommet eller i alle fall et kjøleskap , men ellers var det ismaskin i gangen. Selv i New York var det mulig å få et stille rom.

Familie med to tenåringsdøtre. Fantastisk beliggenhet, flott service og komfortable rom. Suite Prestige med to dobble senger. Vi anbefaler dette hotellet sterkt om noen vil bo sentralt og vi er ikke i tvil om hvor vi skal bo neste gang. Det koster noen penger, men i forhold til beliggenhet og det du har igjen så er det ok.

Rene rom og god service - men veldig små rom. Måtte ha den ene kofferten på badet for å få plass. Men renholdet er viktigere enn størrelsen. Veldig bra beliggenhet og gåavstand til mange av hovedgatene på Manhatten.

Veldig bra opphold over 4 dager. Frokosten var grei nok. Vår datter på 15 var veldig fornøyd. Veldig god service i resepsjonen. Egen turistinformasjon som kunne gi mange tips til aktiviteter. Vi kommer gjerne igjen.

Hotellet ligger sentralt på 7th -29st. Får du rom på baksiden får du sove, men ikke ellers. Frokosten er grei nok men du må spise av papptallerkner, drikke av plastglass og spise med plastbestikk. Du må selv rydde av bordet. Det er ingen øvrig servering på hotellet. Du kan selv kjøpe mat og drikke og ta med å spise utenfor hotellet eller i "frokostsalen". […] Det var ellers bra med restauranter i nærheten. Rommene er små. Foruten seng, var det et skrivebord med kontorstol og verdens minste garderobeskap. Ingen øvrige stoler. Rommene er teppebelagt. Badet er flislagt, hadde føner, lavt badekar med dusj. Ingen steder å sette toilettmappen. Prisen er høy i forhold til standaren. Les mer

Hotellet ligger i en sidegate tll 7th Ave - med gangavstand til det meste - samtidig som det ligger i et roligere strøk. Rent rom og hyggelig betjening!
"Holiday Inn Express - sentralt, men bråkete"
Bodde på Holiday Inn Express - Madison Square Garden en uke. Vi fikk tildelt rom i den såkalte Garden Floor, en etasje under resepsjonen. Dette var et svært bråkete sted, da det var tydelig at var det lager og diverse servicerom. Gjennom hele natten var det bråk fra ansatte og gjester i korridoren som slamret med dører og snakket høyt - det var veldig […] lytt ut til korridoren. I tillegg var det plassert to stk automater for hhv snacks og brus rett utenfor rommet, som folk benyttet hele døgnet. Det lager veldig mye lyd. I tillegg var rommet iskaldt, men vi kunne ikke bruke luftkondisjoneringsanlegget for å få mer varme om natten, for det var så støyende at det hørtes ut som et fly skulle lande inne på rommet vårt. På den positive siden er at alt var rent og personalet var hyggelige og hjelpsommet. Frokosten var helt ok, nok til å få en god start på dagen, stort sett kaffe, te, juice, bagels, muffins, kaker, syltettøy og slikt. Problemet var at det var svært fullt nesten hele tiden, så det var vanskelig å finne ledig bord og det var som oftest kø foran maten. Hotellet ligger et par kvartaler unna Madison Square Garden og er også i gangavstand til både Macy's og den kjente elektronikkbutikken B&H. Nærmeste subway-holdeplass er fem minutter unna, på linjen som går opp og nedover hele Manhattan. Beliggenheten er i Chelsey/Theatre District, dvs omtrent midt på midten av Manhattan nedenfor Central Park. Det anbefales imidlertid å be om å få rom oppover og ikke nedover. Vi sov nesten ikke hele uken, noe som er ganske slitsomt når man i tillegg har jetlag og innholdsrike dager med mye tråkking og køståing. . Les mer

bra hotell i forhold til prisen, hyggelig betjening. Sentral beliggenhet til det meste. Hvis jeg skal si noe negativt må det være at sengene var vonde å ligge på og at det var vanskelig å få bord under frokosten. For de som er ute etter ett enkelt og rimelig hotell er dette absolutt å annbefale.

"Nice hotel away from the tourist traps"
Located around the corner from the subway stop at 28th street it was easy to get both uptown and downtown from this hotel. Walking to Times Square or Grenwich Village was not very far either. Three blocks from Penn St was also easy transit to/from Newark Airport. Friendly and helpful staff. Free internet in the lobby. Room was nice and big (compared […] to european rooms) and we had booked a room with a jacuzzi. Nice to have after hours of walking around in the city. The breakfast area was very crowded and it was hard to get a table. We found out that we could get a tray and have our breakfast in the nice backyard of the hotel. We did not meet anyone else there, even though there was at least four or five big tables with chairs back there. With fifteen floors and only two elevators we had to wait quite a bit for the elevators in the busy mornings of the hotel. All in all it was a great hotel and I would definitely recommend it. Les mer

Dette hotellet lå i ei stille gate, men rett rundt hjørnet var det fullt liv. Spisesteder, puber, butikker osv. Hotellet ligger nær Penn station, Macy's, Empire state Building mm. Det eneste vi har å klage på er at rommet var lite for 3 personer, klimaanlegget bråkte en del og Lyden i rørene hver gang noen dusja eller var på toalettet var grusom. Dette […] bør hotellet kunne fikse fort. Og en ting til: All reklamen de tillater at kommer under døra, gir en følelse av at det er mange ikke-hotellgjester her... room was microscopic - we could barely move around each other Unfortunately, I didn't notice until after we left that there was a very large scrape on the front left bumper that wasn't there when we checked in

we enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. We especially enjoyed the free breakfast. The beds were really comfortable and rooms were clean. Great location, about 2 blocks from the train station
"ANice Place to Stay"
We found the Holiday Inn Express to be convenient, safe, moderately priced, clean and comfortable. It's an easy walk (under 3 blocks) to Madison Square Garden or Penn Station. Breakfast is also included. My wife and I had no complaints. We could have paid a lot more, but not gotten anything more than what we got.

Nice personell. Small room with little space for clothing and shoes. Good cleaning. OK breakfast but very crowded. Walking distance to many shops and subway. No noice during nights, from other rooms or outside.

The best part of this hotel was the complimentary wi-fi and breakfast. The location was close to Penn Station. The room was small but clean. The quality of service at the front desk was very good. The support staff lacked people skills to communicate with visitors. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay for 2 nights.

We chose this hotel for it's proximity to Penn Station (a couple of blocks) because we arrived by Amtrak. They let us check in early and were quite helpful. The hotel is very well maintained and we found the location to be convenient for walking or subway travel. I appreciated the variety of breakfast items available each morning. One drawback was the […] street noise from trash collectors about 2:30 am. A room not facing the street would have been quieter. Also, my careless reading of the Hotels.com description caused me to believe that the hotel had laundry facilities in the building, but that was not the case. Although the room was very nice, the shower drain was very slow, and backing up. The street and hallways were loud. the breakfast was not good. Lastly, the most unsatifing thing was the heat was not functioning, and would not go up to a normal temperture. My office is near Penn Station, so I was looking for something within walking distance. This place was great for that. Since it's on a street rather than an avenue, I didn't hear any traffic. The staff was really helpful - when I asked for a recommendation for takeout nearby, the woman at the front desk gave me a handful of menus, then gave me directions […] to the place I chose. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars for comfort was that I could hear people coming and going until about 2 am, which is more a reflection on noisy neighbors than the hotel itself - it's probably due to the proximity to Madison Square Gardens. "A Pleasant Surprise"
Stayed here on business while attending a trade show at the Javitz Center and was pleasantly surprised at the excellent service we received from the staff. Many NYC hotel reviews remark about poor attitudes and impatient staff, but we found the front desk people to be very friendly and helpful. They knew about our trade show shuttle bus to the Javitz […] and gave us a printed schedule for it. When the hair dryer died one morning I called for a replacement and the guy was at my door in 5 minutes with a new one! There's lots of foreign tourists staying at the hotel, which made it fun and interesting to hear all the different languages spoken. We took the advice of another reviewer and requested rooms on the upper floors. Turned out to be one of the quietest rooms I've ever experienced in New York! The room was on the small side, which is normal for NYC, but you could walk around the bed on both sides and there was space for a lounge chair and a desk. Not much counter space in the bathroom, but it was better than other NY hotels I've stayed in that cost quite a bit more. The breakfast room was always quite crowded, but hey, you're in the Big Apple--get used to crowds! I must say I had a very good stay and the location was great--an easy walk to Times Square. The staff in this hotel was so friendly and helpful all the way from needs for my room, all the way to subway directions to various locations. The breakfast was eat more than I expected, and delicious. I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat! Within walkin distance of times square and empire state building! "Great reasonably-priced hotel near MSG and Penn St"
We stayed for six days for the Big East Tournament. We were quite satisfied and pleasantly surprised by the great staff and the great complimentary breakfast. The room was clean and no sign of bedbugs. It was small as expected,but this is NYC. The location was great for MSG and Penn Station. There are two Catholic churches within three blocks. I booked this hotel because it was close to the office where I would be working. I regretted my choice of hotel as the room was dingy and dark. The carpet was stained. Overall, the hotel was depressing. The breakfast was packed and there were no available seats. I would definitely not recommend this hotel and would never plan to stay here again.

"Great Place, Great Staff. Great Stay"
Location is close enough to walk to the theatre district, Times Square, Macy's and restaraunts but you are far enough away to not hear all the hustle and bustle of the city below yet you still feel safe. the free breakfast was delicious, though the juices were flavorless. The front desk staff was extremely accomodating and very warm. Not what you'd […] expect for a big city at all, especially if it's your first trip to NYC. It was my friend's first trip to NYC and she REALLY liked it. This hotel and the staff definitely contributed to a very good first impression for her. (Diana at the front desk was very sweet. ) Made her first trip want to turn into a second! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. the bathroom was clean as well. The staff was friendly and accomodating to our needs. We arrived earlier then the 2pm check in and they got us a room right away. The room was small, but this was in New York. I would stay there again.

"Skip the Continental Breakfast"
I chose this hotel specifically because of it's location to Penn Station and its Continental Breakfast. Location-wise, it was fine, but the quality of the Continental Breakfast was not worth it: pressed egg product with some kind of cheese, stale cereal, stale pastries, no fresh fruit... And, we waited in a very long line just for the free breakfast. […] On our second day, we ended up walking up to Starbuck's, so basically I paid for breakfast twice. What a disappointment. Les mer
The hotel is close to the sites and near enough to Penn Station to walk back and forth. Also, as in many of the Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed at, the staff is unfaillingly polite and helpful. Indeed, they go out of their way to help.
