Oppholdet mitt på Arora var svært bra! Personalet var alltid imøtekommende og veldig hyggelige. Hvis du lurte på noe, fikk du alltid gode svar og vi fikk kart over byen hvor de ringet inn ulike restauranter og utesteder som var de mest populære. Rommet var bestandig rent når vi kom tilbake fra byen- sengene var reid opp og byttet på, nye håndklær, ryddet, støvsugd osv. Hotellet ligger nært til shopping, restauranter,cafeer, barer/puber ol. og i taxi tar det kun en ti minutter så er du ved Old Trafford. Et helt topp hotell, som jeg skal velge neste gang jeg skal til Manchester igjen! Et lite minus var at det stod på bestillingen at vi skulle ha utsikt over byen, men vinduet vårt pekte mot en bakgate, så vi så altså rett i et bygg/vegg..

Overnattet på Ramada i forbindelse med fotballkamp på old trafford. Bra standard, god frokost, gangavstand til old trafford, puber,kjøpesenter,emperial museum, samt subway rett rundt hjørnet. Alt i alt et fint opphold i Manchester.

Hotel not far from Train station to get into Manchester city centre and Ikea is on the door step, aswell as lots of places to eat.

1) Children can only use swimming pool between 10am to 12 pm and 2pm to 5pm. Stayed there over Christmas break and couldn't go out for shopping as the time we were suppose to shop, we had to spend in pool with kids otherwise they were not allowed after 5. 2) Room was too small and too dark. 3) Staff was rude.

Public areas and staff OK In my view there is a major problem with the rooms. There is not a single drawer, shelf unit or cupboard in the rooms. The only clothes storage is 6 hangers which are open plan, not in a wardrobe. You have to line your socks and underwear up along the top of the headboard. OK for one night maybe, hopeless for a week. I have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 years, as we go Christmas Shopping at the Trafford Center which is only a short car trip away. But on this year stay the Bar prices have gone up I think ! the reason I say this they seemed to be two different traffiff's a dearer one for residence staying and a cheaper one for the locals. They was a differance […] of 50p a pint and the reason I know this was I found a receipt on the bar for exactly the same drinks I purchased but was 50 p a pint cheaper. We did have to que for breakfast on the Sunday morning we were leaving, but it was not for long and was not suprising as the hotel was full due to Saturday Christmas Party guest staying overnite. "The Cold Village Hotel, Aston-under-Lyne,"
Disapointed with our stay at this hotel weekend of 4th September. the room was freezing, we had a lot of noise from christmas party disco in building next to our room. The breakfast was very poor, not enough choice of cereal, cheap bread and cold bacon, beans etc.Not what you would expect of De Vere Hotels.

Check in was very smooth although we did have to queue for a while due to the number of people checking in. The room was spacious with large tv, free wifi, tea & coffee tray & good size bathroom with shower [no bath]. We used the gym which was very well equipped. The swimming pool was being used for childrens lessons so we didn't use it. Breakfast is […] served until 11am at weekends so we arrived at 10am to be told there was a five minute wait, this turned out to be 30 minutes as the dining room was very busy and is no where near big enough for the number of rooms they have. Have stayed here several times and it is consistently clean and very comfortable. Staff are all friendly and helpful - particularly at breakfast time when it can be very busy. Downside is lack of storage space - ie drawers in the rooms.

A really smart contemporary hotel with all the comforts expected and a lot more. The staff were lovely and the facilities were very good. The breakfast was smashing and provided a wide choice of cooked breakfast and plenty of fruit and croissants. We had our grown up family with several children and booked four rooms. We were all comfortable and the […] children had a swim. The pool is not open to children on Sunday moring until 9am and so I had a long swim and a peaceful time in the sauna. "Village Hotel Ashton Moss"
Arrived on Friday evening to a packed and buzzing foyer. Used the bar for a good pizza and drink - excellent DJ/Singer, the only complaint being that he seemed to think it was a nightclub and the volume was ridiculously loud - even when we went out to the reception. We were there for 2 nights so breakfasted twice - the food is good, wholesome, filling […] stuff and plenty of it. On both occasions (although Sunday was worse than Saturday) the breakfast restaurant was understaffed which led to repeat requests for tea/coffee/mugs from us and tables being left uncleared for ages. This was such a pity - they have almost got it right but the staff were flat out just trying to cope with the guests and didn't get much chance to do anything else. This is our second visit, it's a convenient location for visiting relatives and we would use it again, just hope the breakfast area looks a little cleaner, organised next time. I did mention both of these issues to the Reception staff whilst we were there. Les mer

the hotel is modern and rooms though compact are well designed. The food and service was very good. The decor is quite dark, not to my taste but modern. staff very helpfull. would stay again

Had a great stay here, was a lovely hotel, pool/gym is great and the breakfast and carvery was brilliant. only thing id say is take your own hairdryer cos theirs is not the best but everything else was brilliant!!

The hotel is very easy to find, just off the M60. A very modern and stylish hotel. Stayed just 1 night, but the staff were very efficient and friendly and sorted our taxi's out. Had access to all the leisure facilities. The food in the pub part was very good indeed, as was the breakfast in the restaurant area the following morning. Should you not wish […] to eat there, KFC, Frankie+Bennys, a family pub and a bowling alley are all adjacent to the hotel. The room was very nice and very well equiped. I thought that the hotel was very good and served its purpose very well. Locally there is a Retail park with a Cinema, 10 pin Bowling, Nando's, Harvester, KFC, Chinese, etc Good selection and quality for Breakfast.

Lovely, modern hotel with fantastic service, lovely breakfast buffee and aminitys. Every thing you could want from a hotel. A short drive out of the town centre, with a cinema, bowling alley, frankie and Bennys and chikitos a short walk away. I was very impressed with the hotel and would definately stay again :)
"ONE BAD POINT"
STAYED IN VILLAGE ASHTON MOSS LAST WEEKEND. THIS IS A NICE HOTEL WITH GOOD DECOR, IT HAS ALL THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT EXCEPT MY WIFE ENDED UP GETTING BED BUG BITES ALL OVER HER BODY. IT WAS A BIT OF A LET DOWN AFETR HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME. GOOD LOCATION AND PLENTY OF PARKING. JUST A SHAME THAT THE BUG BITES RUINED THE WHOLE HOLIDAY.

We were attending a function at the hotel which was great however afterwards the people that were staying in the hotel went to have a drink in the residence bar, there were about 20 of us. On ordering our drinks we were told that rather than putting drinks on our room and paying for them on check out, we had to go to reception and give them cash to […] put onto our room key that we could then use to buy drinks. All very silly, we all left the bar after the 1st drink where as normally we would stay up for a while!! Also the breakfast was awful! Les mer

friendly staff excellent leisure facilities beautiful hotel only 2 issues there was no wardrobes in the bedrooms and found the room very small for a family of four under the bed wasnt cleaned as there was dirty tissues under it over all we enjoyed our stay there and i would probably go back there
"The Village Hotel, Ashton Moss"
This hotel is in a good location. It not only has 2 restaurants and a Starbucks on site, but next to the site there are several other restaurants as well as a bowling alley and a cinema. Within 5-10 minutes walk, there is a Sainsburys and also IKEA!! It only takes 20-25 minuntes to walk to Ashton-under-Lyne station which has regular trains straight […] into the centre of Manchester (10 minute journey). Although Ashton isn't the nicest of areas, there are all these facilities which give a variety of options for what to do. The hotel itself is modern in style and the room was compact but very comfortable. The wet room was great! Less water everwhere than a conventional bathroom with a shower curtain - very impressive! There were a couple of areas where the room could have been cleaner, including the glasses. The hotel swimming pool was lovely, although if travelling without children, there are limited times when the pool is free of children. Conversely, if you are travelling with children, the pool is open most of the time to them which is a good distraction! We ate dinner in the bar one evening and the food was fantastic and great value. The service wasn't as good as it could have been as we had to ask for a table to be cleared and cleaned and a sulky girl came over and half wiped the table, which we then finished off once she had gone. Breakfast was great - it was set out buffet style with lots of choice and well cooked tasty food. We would stay there again. Les mer
