We stayed here for a soccer tournament, the hotel is well maintained, rooms are clean and nice. Absolutely overpriced for the area during that tournament.

No doubt, an excellent hotel. We got a real spacious room for 4 of us. The beach was walkable from the hotel. So we went for a morning walk to the beach and spent some quality time there. The only thing which bothered me was the Parking charge in the hotel. I parked my car just for 8 hours (one night), but was charged some 15 or 20 bucks (flat rate). […] Quite costly. But may be because it is in downtown but even then the parking fee was a bit costly for me. Otherwise, the hotel was too good for us. Les mer

Hotel staff were very nice, helped us find a great place to eat dinner. It was in a nice area, and rooms were clean. I am ocd about cleanliness, I travel with my own cleaning products. No need to use them here. I would definitely stay here again.

We spent 2 nights at the Marriott. The service was good. The lobby was very inviting. It was nice to have complimentary internet & printer for boarding passes. The pillows were awful, however. The location is very close to many restaurants and shops and also close to head up to Lake Tahoe.

Wish they had more balcony rooms available and wish they offered continental breakfast.

The hotel was clean and decorated very nice. We would stay again. Location was convenient to Lake Tahoe. Just two things warranted the 4 stars only on room comfort. 1- There was no hook in the bathroom for a swimsuit or to hang a robe. It was missing from the wall. 2- The bathroom sink and counter space was very small and hard to share with my husband. […] I tried to take my curling iron out of the bathroom to use in another area to get ready and there was no mirror to use. We think it may have been small because it was a handicap bathroom, but are not sure. You may check if this would be an issue for you. Les mer

It was very clean and quiet. The desk staff was very helpful. Beds were comfortable. We had a nice dinner in the "Red's!". A mile away!

I frequently have to travel to Carson City for regional soccer events and after several stays in cheaper motels in the area am thrilled to have found the Courtyard by Marriott. Yes, it is more expensive than most in the town but well worth the extra - the rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, it's quiet and smoke-free ~ 2 major issues with other […] places in the area. And the indoor pool was great for the kids to blow off some excess energy the night before their tournament. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, but pricey and the breakfast staff were a little less friendly, but I have to say they were very busy with several bus groups. Les mer

We were very pleased with the hotel, it was better than expected. Although the pool was quite small for the kids, it was perfect for myself. If your visiting Virginia city it's a perfect spot to stay. There is a casino across the street where we had a buffett dinner (which was not so bad, but typical buffett food.) The hotel was very clean and very quiet despite the parkinglot being full. Had a great weekend with the husband there, wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the two casinos that were within walking distance!

Carson City is a fairly small city. This hotel is located on the main strip just a few miles south of downtown. Property is very accessible, near shopping and dining options. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Courtyard by Marriott is a very reliable and consistent brand.

I was very surprised by how nice this hotel was. This hotel was just recently built and the condition of everything (furniture and bed) were still new. My room was cleaned nicely everyday and everything was conveniently located. If you like barbeque, try "Q's", you will be pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located right next door to a casino and a […] movie theatre. You are within walking distance to several fast food joints (McDonald's, Wendy's, and Taco Bell) if you are looking for a late night snack.. You will save big since you are not staying in tahoe where everything is overpriced. Carson City is conveniently located where both Reno and Lake Tahoe is a 30 minute drive away. Les mer

The room was great, the hotel itself was very nice, the breakfast room staff was superior, the front desk staff, not so much. I asked for directions to a local address, front desk did not know and did not know who to ask. The computers and printers were not working over the four days I stayed at the hotel. I needed to print a boarding pass, and none […] of the front desk people was able to help and did not know who to ask. I needed to arrange a late check out, front desk person was not authorized to do this, and the manager was not available until after I needed to check out. (Nothing like not rewarding a rewards member to make me feel special.) So as long as you don't need any assistance with any thing I'd say "Go for it" Les mer

The staff at the Carson City Courtyard is by far one of the most professional, friendly and efficient group of people I have had the pleasure to meet. As a weekly traveler it means a lot when the staff goes above and beyond to be friendly and accomodating. I will stay here exclusively until my project ends.

We've stayed in Carson City, NV several times over the past few years and have tried various hotels. I have to say that this has been the absolute best! My wife and I spent two nights at the hotel. It was a very positive experience. The staff was professional, courtesy, helpful, and extremely accommodating. IThe room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

We have been in the hotel during Christmas, and was an outstanding experience. Despite the fact of the distance to Heavenly Lake Tahoe it was the right decision to stay there. Next time we would do the same. It is a very good hotel with great people. We recommend them for other people.

Parents live in Carson so we visit monthly but usually stay at the Hardman House, very inexpensive but cute. We decided to try out the new Marriott as it is closer to their house. The hotel is beautiful and room appearance exceeded our expectations. One BIG problem, for all fo the $ they put into this beautiful new hotel they used an outdated heating/cooling […] system. The NOISE from this air coming on and off all night kept us awake most of the night. When the AC was off within 5 min. it became too hot to sleep; then when it kicked on it was so noisy and too cold. They should have invested in central HVAC for the rooms. Rooms are gorgeous and in San Francisco would have cost 3 times the rate; lots of attention to detail and lighting. It would have been nice to have an On Demand movie to purchase but they only have television. When I mentioned our lack of sleep to the desk clerk upon checking out all she said was," Oh, well thanks for staying with us anyway." Well we had no choice; it was prepaid! I thought they'd at least show some empathy...:( I don't know if we'll stay again just because of the noise of the HVAC system. While I do love the rooms....the beds are very very firm so you need to be able to deal with that as well; otherwise I loved the detail of the rooms. I did ask if there are any rooms without these wall hvac units but there are not. Les mer

I didn't find out, until after I left the Marriot and went to my cousins house in S. Lake Tahoe, that the Marriot is only about a year old. The staff seems like they have been doing their jobs for ever, they are that good. The rooms and the whole plase is just beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The Layout of the room was awesome. Not like typical hotels. Very comfortable. The location was good. We had dinner and watched a movie at the theater and had ice cream at Mcdonald's all within walking distance.

I travel to Carson City several times a year to see my mother, I have stayed at almost every hotel in the city, out of all the choices this will be where I stay in the future. At check in the staff was funny, helpful and very informitive. The room was spacious and bright when we needed it to be and dark when sleeping in (little to no noise) the weight […] room was clean and the pool perfect. The hotel is excellent. The facilities are clean, functional and well-maintained. However, the best part of this hotel is the staff. If you can appreciate not having to worry about a single detail during your stay then this is the place for you.
