"Excellent staff"
We stayed at The Holiday Inn Express in Inverness. Although I didn't find the bed comfortable, the room was immaculate and we had a suite that was spacious and comfortable. The staff at the hotel was wonderful. We wanted to take a nap after a long day and something kept cycling on and off. We thought it was the air conditioner, but it wasn't. Called […] the front desk and she went looking for the sound. She called me 5 min. later to tell me the dryers in the laundry were cycling and she turned them all off for the night. Sooooo helpful!!!!!! Also a housekeeper was kind enough to take me to my room after I left my pillow there and told me they keep lost items for 30 days if I found that I left anything else. All personnel very helpful and cheerful. I would definately stay here again. Also pool very clean and relaxing. Les mer

The staff were gracious, very helpful, and attentive. The free breakfast was excellent and surpassed all of those we have had at other hotels and motels along the way from CT to FL and back. We were assigned a room on the second floor and when we got in we noticed a dehumidifier as well as an odor of wetness. We mentioned to the front desk and they said that that floor had moisture problems. Due to our schedule we stayed the night but in the morning we requested another room and they upgraded us to a wonderful suite on the third floor. I […] feel they should have offered this on the first day when we mentioned it rather than waiting for us to request a fresh room. They need to get a handle on this as it is not good that their second floor has a problem of moisture. Les mer

Clean, convenient location. Very helpful staff, esp. with overloaded computer, then a power surge. Found a church for us, gave us the obituary page from personal paper, good directions to restaurants, highways, etc. The food staff were very busy, wiping up, refilling, Abundant food choices, extremely clean. Noisy air conditioner.

"Holiday Inn Express - Inverness in the Wilderness"
We stayed for nearly a week while my father-in-law underwent surgery. Our room was clean and quiet and we had no complaints, except for the raccoon that climbed over the fence to explore the poolside garbage can one evening. There's next to nothing close by, but it met our needs and exceeded our expectations.

Our experience was very good. The hotel was very nice. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was also very good. We would recommend a stay at the hotel. It was nice to have a retreat to come back to at the end of a very stressful time.

"Wrong beds"
The only problem I had with this hotel was that we had reserved a room with 2 queen size beds but we were given a room with 2 double beds. But other than that, everything was great. Especially the breakfast! =)

As stated above the room as well as the hotel itself is very welcoming. We had plans in Inverness,only 5 minutes away and when you are helping to celebrate an 81st birthday,it helps to have a hotel near. The staff was very polite and accomodating.
"Very Inflexible"
I wanted to get a later check out and they charged me for an entire extra night at a rate higher than my first night. The manager kept repeating that now they couldn't rent the room out and when I left the hotel around 3:30pm--there were 5 cars on the entire parking lot.

"Needs Improvement"
The hotel's included hot breakfast was very good and staff service was also very good in this department. There were no really nearby restaurants for dinner. The hotel's maid service left a lot to be desired. My companion was in my room when the maids came on the first full day. They asked if she wanted room service, to which she said yes. They cleared […] trash and serviced the bathroom but totally failed to make the beds or vacuum the floor. They left with no explanation. She would have been willing to leave the room to make their job easier but they simply left without saying anything. I wonder what their normal practice is if they find a guest in their room when they come to clean and tidy. On departure, I went to get a baggage wagon at 7:10am. No baggage wagons were available and I would have had to make several journeys to and from my room on the top floor without one to get our baggage out. My companion has back problems and cannot carry baggage. The receptionist said she would call my room as soon as one became available but did not do so by 7:45am. I had to be in my work office at 8am prompt. I went and complained again. Eventually the receptionist called to say they were going to bring a laundry cart to enable me to get myself and my baggage out. I appreciate her help in this respect. I had to rush to work and was late as a result of this. T would like to give this hotel a better report but feel that in view of these happenings I cannot do so. Les mer

The hospitality and amenities at this hotel were exceptional for the price and star rating. It is a brand new building, and has updated decor and bedding. There were many options for a warm breakfast. We happened to get a room next to the elevator, so had some noise to contend with, making it difficult to sleep. "Übernachtung auf dem Weg nach Homosassa Springs"
Wir haben hier auf unserer Florida-Reise zwischenübernachtet, um Homosassas Springs zu besuchen. Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe der Bundesstrasse (etwas zurückversetzt, insofern sehr ruhig) mitten im Nirgendwo. D.h. zum Essen (kein Restaurant im Haus) muss man mit dem Auto fahren oder ca. 1 km an der Strasse entlang laufen (nicht empfehlenswert im Dunkeln […] wie ich finde). Das Haus ist relativ neu und gepflegt, die Zimmer sauber. Das kostenlose Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war typisch für den Hotel-Kettenstil (Plastikgeschirr, süße Teilchen, Toast). Wir waren von dem kleinen, handgemachten Naturpark in Homosassas Springs eher enttäuscht. Alles in allem ein Ausflug mit Zwischenübernachtung, der sich aus unserer Sicht nicht gelohnt hat, obwohl das Hotel als solches sehr ordentlich und zweckmäßig ist. Les mer
