They do to know the meaning of customer service. At check-in the staff was extremely rude and not accommodating. They did not honor the free breakfast that was to be included in payment when booking. They do not clean the rooms well at all. It seemed that they made the bed and added towels if needed but that was all. The best thing about the hotel it […] the location. Wonderful location with beautiful modern rooms and great service. What more could you want!

Continentale went far and above to ensure the quality of service was exceptional. They tended to every request, had great recommendations and the staff was lovely. The front desk staff was wonderful

Super comfortable bed, nice toiletries, efficient and friendlt front desk, best I have stayed in Europe so far. Main grouses are the sound proffing from lower floored rooms, can be noisy at night and a lack of variety at breakfast.

The Continentale is a wonderful hotel that i have passed by on many of my trips to florence. The location by far is the most central to dinning and sites for a nice and easy stroll at night and by day. The only pit fall would be the hair dryer that is connected to the wall and that you have to hold down the button as you dry your hair. I have such mixed feelings about this Hotel. When I arrived I was greeted by an awful smell of must, mold, rotten eggs (?) in the entrance-so much so that I almost left. I am glad I didn't because it turned out to be the perfect location. My first room was tiny and had mold and peeling paint in the bathroom. I asked for another room and was thankfully […] (and quickly) switched to another room for the same price that was terrific....lovely long hallway leading past a great bathroom and into a beautiful king bed. Everything was decorated in white and was in great shape in this room. Big difference from the first room. I thought the staff at the front desk was terrific, though I didn't have to rely on them for any information about the city. I have a friend who lives there and was therefore just passing thru. This is not a place for people who rely on concierge service. The hotel itself had an apartment like feeling. It actually felt quiet and deserted...At times there were people in the entrance area (there were two entrance areas. One was supposed to be shut down later in the evening because it was not "staffed"...the other open all night. Many times I came in thru the entrance that was supposed to be shut. ---thus the security in the building was a bit iffy...) Anyway, great room and amazing roof deck. Not sure I would stay here if the weather was not warm. Roof deck made all the difference. Wonderful staff up there. Sunsets over the river and casting beautiful light on the city. Amazing views....Overall a 3 star hotel, not 4....excellent staff but the hotel needs some MAJOR freshening up. Carpet in the main areas is dirty and depressing. I guess I expected more as we had stayed at The Longarno Hotel on our previous trip to Florence. Small room with High ceiling creates a weird claustaphobic feeling. Nice bathroom and rooftop bar with sofa type seating. Great location.

Couldn't have a better location - directly beside the Ponte Vecchio. Love the rooftop bar. Staff were very attentive. Room was small but very clean and modern.

Great location near the foot of the Ponte Vecchio. Modern design with small but comfortable rooms. Large public lounge spaces and nice rooftop bar. A bit too far to drag luggage from the train station, so a taxi is best. Staff attentive and responsive to requests. Good breakfast, but pricey if purchased separately from the room. A cool modern 'design' hotel with a beautiful location by the Ponte Vecchio. Very quiet, spacious rooms despite the busy location. A roof terrace with a view and friendly service.

Using hotels.com research features, I chose this hotel for it's location, star rating, guest rating, and price. I was not disappointed. snobbish and unhelpful staff. nice roof-top bar and rooms are up to date but thats all you get. when the wifi is down, nobody informs you or feels apologetic when you ask....

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The room we had was large and the bathroom was very well done. The Blinds were controlled by buttons but we barely closed them since we had a view directly onto the Ponte Vecchio. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was great. They even had a late night party for guests in the lounge […] one night. The roof top deck is probably the best view I saw of the river and the Ponte Vecchio and the entire Oltarno side including the hills. You can see parts of the Duomo as well. The bar service was definitely a plus. Finally, the location is near perfect. It's across the street from Ponte Vecchio, and a short walk over that and you're on the Oltarno side of the city. 60 seconds to Uffizi, 2 minutes straight walk to Duomo, 15 minutes walk to Train Station (but a taxi with our luggage was only 10 euro-ish as none of the streets go directly to any major area) Les mer

In general I am very satisfied with my stay. Following are areas for improvement ...... 1. For visitors from outside of Florence cannot get their car into the city, to pick up the guest. 2. Although hi speed internet is available in the room, WIFI is not available.

The hotel is perfectly placed, most accommodating, and the staff the model of helpfulness and sincerity. The rooms were modern and roomy and inviting. The bathroom was enormous by European standards. The Continentale was the highlight of our lodging on our trip throughout Italy and easily worth the money. Excellent location, highly-professional and friendly staff, very clean rooms and bathrooms.

This modern hotel is in sharp contrast to the previously encountered Italian decor found in other hotels but over time was calming and serene vs cold and stark. I found myself as an unplanned solo traveler as my daughter was stranded in Londons Heathrow during Christmas break due to "The Snow" and there were no planes, trains, or automobiles functioning […] to transport her to Italy in reasonable time during our planned 9 day trip. However, I could not have picked a better hotel for 5 of those days. Each front desk individual ( and there were too many to mention) was compassionate, professional, personable and helpful during my stay and I extended an additional night because of my high comfort in Florence in general and at the Continentale specifically. Some of my communications had a roller coaster emotional edge in hopeful anticipation of my daughters arrival and the staff, if challenged, were all professional and comforting. OK, so until I got my maternal emotional act together, I teared up at the drop of a hat and these professionals were all amazingly perfect in their responses and really helped me enjoy what Florence had to offer in spite of not having my daughters company. It was hard to keep feeling sorry for myself. As a group, they were a class act. The mezzanine personnel were attentive and perfectionists in food delivery and attention to detail. Roberto was especially kind and a professional in every way. The view from one of the many comfortable lounges was directly of the Arno and Ponte Vecchio, a perfectly relaxing scene to enjoy between excursions in Florence. The gym was clean, though a bit poorly lit and had a range of cardio machines, free weights and strength training. There was a sauna available but I did not use it. Breakfast was more than enough of a variety of fresh fruit, delicious cheeses, yogurts, scrambled eggs, sliced meats, rolls, salad and pastry-a variety of high quality foods vs. empty carbs. The finest of customer service. They made us feel very welcome and were exteremely helpful with getting us connected to wifi, they even helped us make a call to the US. The rooms were very modern and decorated very well -- inspired us for our NYC studio. I would reteun here on my next visit.

This hotel was amazing. It was in the best location and room was gorgeous. The breakfast was excellent and the staff made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again .

Couldn't fault it - light room overlooking the Ponte Veccio, (but with strong enough windows to block out the noise), typical design hotel looks, minutes walk to all the main sites.

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel. It was very chic modern Italian. Great bathrooms and very comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, the best on my trip. Our favorite hotel of our trip to Italy. Perfect location, great view, quiet room, everything was wonderful. Now if they only included breakfast free like everyone else.

This hotel took our breath away. Situated right at the end of the Ponte Vecchio, the location was amazing and we had a balcony with a fantastic view of the River Arno. The decor was stylish and chic and was our little haven after long days of sight seeing. Highly recommended and would definitely go back.

this is a great hotel, the location, the comfortableness and also the roof top bar, however, the hotel seems bit worn out, needs touch-up. also, the secuirty isa problem. the main door faces the front street but without security, everyone can take the lift to the hotel and easily to acesse the hotel rooms. the cleaning staff didn't lock the door properly […] after cleaning of my room. i have to call front desk to fix it. Location excellent: all main sight-seeings in a walking distance. Just next to Ponte Vecchio and very busy street... however, noise did not really bother too much, because room windows were filtering the noise relatively well. Excellent breakfast, was apparently much cheaper when reserved at reception when arriving. Ultra modern interior, many interesting […] architectual and decorational details in the room and in hotel public areas. Perhaps more suitable for adults than for families with small children. Personnel very friendly. So overall speaking excellent hotel especially for "adult couples" like us. Les mer

Nous avons passé 4 jours dans cet hôtel, et nous avons été ravi !! L'accueil est parfait et sympathique ainsi que le room service excellent. La vue du bar au dernier étage est grandiose. Les chambres sont grandes, très propres, et la qualité des services excellents. Un garage est disponible sous demande, et le hic est le prix par jour (32€) mais bon […] à florence il n'y a pas de places !!! Sans hésitation, un des meilleurs hôtel dans lequel je vais revenir dans les quelques semaines à venir. Les mer
