hotellet ligger i gata der gratis trikken går. må nevne også den flotte utsikten fra treningsrommet og svømmebassenget. skulle ønske rommet mitt var der oppe og treningsrommet med utsikten til andre gjesters soverom. :D ellers - nesten top kvalitet.

Vi tilbrakte julen der. Restaurantbetjeningen var meget positive, og det var de stort sett også i resepsjonen - men noen var uengasjert. Hotellet var rent og i god stand, men ganske upersonlig. Fin for golfere, men ikke det samme for de som søker vinopplevelser. Det l et stykke unna både vingårder og eksterne restauranter. Vær oppmerksom på hvor du parkerer i garasjen - bombardering med fugleskitt noen steder

"No wakeup call, neighbouring noise."
Our stay was a simple overnight stay prior to an early flight departure the following morning. Our room was clean and in good condition; the bed good; and the airport shuttle effective. However, our stay was marred by two issues. The first was that we could hear our neighbour's TVs through the wall of our room as we sought to have an early night and […] when others woke even earlier than we did; and we did not receive the wakeup call we had booked (this was because reception transferred us to another room, away from their first offer of one right at the busy entrance, after logging our request and did not transfer this request). "Motor-Inn (not a Hotel!)"
My wife and I were both dissatisfied with this hotel for several reasons: 1. Location - not anywhere near the airport, was more than a highway exit away. 2. Shuttle - not regular and requires you to PHONE the hotel. On the way back to the hotel it had to detour to a trailer park to pickup other non Best-Western people. It took the shuttle 15 minutes […] to get between airport and hotel. 3. Motor-Inn - the reception is not in the same building as the rooms. 4. Neighbourhood – very unsightly. No retail anywhere near the hotel. 5. Room - Was recently renovated but smelled strongly of paint / cheap furniture varnish. 6. Bugs - Several mosquitoes in our room when we checked in. 7. Water - Worst tasting water experienced in 2 weeks in Australia. 8. Disorganized – Early morning shuttles left late as they could not accommodate several guests going to the airport at 6:30am without taxis and shuttle stops in other places. They have a very good and kind reception team, friendly. But the best really is the proximity to the airport. Really a stop and go option. Go.

Arriving in the pouring rain didn't help but the rooms we were given were extremely pleasant and comfy. Unfortunately some thoughtless cretins woke us at 4:30am with loud TV and talking as they prepared to depart for the Airport (we assume). Even though we had some food delivered by room service as we'd arrived just as the restaurant was closing, we […] were charged for someone elses dinner when we checked out, tho' this was quickly resolved. Free shuttle to and from airport made this a good value hotel for travelers. Much cheaper than the hotels at the airport. We did have TV noise coming through our wall from some loud people next door, but that can happen at any hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful with apples and mints at reception desk and they loaded our suitcases on the clean […] shuttle van for us. I'll stay here again! Les mer

I booked this hotel to be close to the airport for an early flight. There is a shuttle bus but to be honest I regretted booking as we were really quite far out and with the morning traffic the journey took about half an hour. Hotel very comfortable but more suitable for people with a car I would have thought.

Hotel looks bad on the outside. Sitting near a trailer park. HOWEVER, inside the rooms you have NEW everything. Nice seats, nice TV, really nice bathroom. The only downside is the bed, while clean, is still hard and not very comfortable. They took me to the Airport, no charge and the restaurant had excellent food.

I stay in "airport" hotels for two purposes: their proximity to the airport as I travel through a destination requiring an overnight connection, and the free shuttle bus! At the Best Western Airport Motel in Melbourne during two one-night stays, I lucked out with fantastic, friendly service, amenties galore in the spacious, well furnished room, and […] a restaurant with a diverse tasty menu. The only thing that makes this "motel-style" property a bit of a challenge is its sprawling nature on the grounds, with some rooms down steps rather than ramps. This can be a challenge for suitcase transfer, so be sure to specify a room with no steps to it, if that is something you prefer. The location would not be my choice for exploring Melbourne itself but, about 10 minutes by shuttle from the airport, it is ideal for passing through to other destinations. Les mer

"Cheap hotel, seedy neighborhood"
Booked this hotel due to location near the airport and also near a colleagues' home. Hotel is somewhat low-end, in a seedy neighborhood. My room faced a trailer park only about 20 feet away, replete with wood-burning stoves and noisy cars. Walked about 1/4 mile down the road to a steakhouse restaraunt; surprised to find out it was also a gambling hall. […] Bar had horse & dog race betting, plus keno. Restaraunt had MANY video slot machines. Very interesting. Room was spacious, queen bed plus sofa and desk. Unfortunately bed was right next to the front door, so noise from the trailer park was heard all night long. Didn't stay long enough to sample the restaraunt. Les mer
"Could do better"
It was a standard motel, nothing special and our room overlooked the car park and flight path so I wish we had spent either a little more for the Parkroyal or a little less for Ciloms. seems to be conference orientated rather than for individuals and at the price we paid for an executive room (a bit of a joke), we could have done so much better even […] in the city. It didn't impress and I don't think we would ever consider going here again. Les mer

Althought the hotel is not so close to the airport as I expected, the shuttle service from/to the airport was excellent and reliable, working 24hrs. The drivers of the shuttle vans were very helpful and nice, and from the airport it was easy to catch the bus skyline that took us to downton Melbourne.

"It works...but not that close to the airport"
Surprisingly, the hotel is not really that close to the airport, but they provide a free shuttle. It was very basic, but seemed clean. Also, unfortunately, "two beds" means one double and one twin bed, instead of two doubles.

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. It only comes in 2nd to a dump I stayed in while in India. We were in room 12. It had the most disgusting couch I have ever seen in my entire life. It looked like it had been pulled out of a dumpster. It was dirty beyond belief, with holes and tears and just worn through. I refused to touch it. The […] bed was very uncomfortable. As the room was overall very dirty, I was afraid to sleep under the sheets. We stayed here as we had come in from Cairns that night and we were flying out in the morning, so wanted to stay near the airport. Since it was only for a night and we have stayed in Best Western's before, I figured it wouldn't be fancy, but would at least be clean. I certainly was wrong. We ordered room service and asked for water with our food. They called us back telling us they didn't have any water. What?! What hotel restaurant doesn't have water? Spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere else, you'll only be disappointed (and probably disgusted) if you stay here. Les mer

Disapointed that we booked a room for 2adults and 2 children, but were given a room with a queen and one single. No room for pull out sofa, or trundle bed. No compassion from desk clerk, even though kids were exhausted and silly from a long o/s flight. Seemed to admit they had read the booking wrong but took so long to rectify, even though motel not […] very occupied that night. Then put us in a room sooooo far away, and no offer of assistance with our bags until we asked ! Lacking in customer service and keeping the customer happy, or at least giving them what they booked. Having said that, one of the duty managers who helped get our bags to our room was very helpful and made a big difference. Shuttle from airport and to train station was great too, a saving grace. Would not choose this motel again unfortunately. Pity is all this pretty much came down to the service of that one desk clerk, not sure of his title. When a motel seemingly makes a mistake and it involves tired travelers with 2kids under 6, it is extremely unpleasant and makes for bad word of mouth. Why can't they just rectify the error and let us all get to bed. Was a really bad night and it didn't need to be. I've been upgraded rooms in other motels before and all I did was check in !! Les mer

The walls in the room were a bit on the thin side. we had neighbours who a) stood outside late for a smoke b) had the TV on loud c) spoke loudly d) got up very early and were likewise noisy. Parking is a little tight. The restaurant was shut when we were there.

We chose this motel because it had good reviews and was close to the airport. Checked in around midnight as expected. Found a mouse trap house on the kitchenettes counter. Since the trap door was closed I assumed the little guy had turned in for the night so I took him to the mgrs office. Otherwise, the bed was so/so and cleanliness mediocre. I've long trusted Best Western to come through, and it didn't fail. I'm just a grumpy ol' desert cat from Utah, but I've traveled a fair bit. I recommend this hotel. The room was fine. No problems and it was clean. Be prepared for a slightly expensive meal at the restaurant. The restaurant food is very good and there is a good selection at the bar -- […] for a relaxing drink after you travel. I believe the restaurant and bar close at 8 p.m. No other restaurants or even a grocery store nearby, that I could see. If you arrive late, you may be better off getting takeout at the airport before the free Best Western Airport shuttle picks you up. The staff were very accommodating. I tipped the shuttle driver because he loaded my heavy suitcases without a complaint and was very helpful. The motel is near the airport, so it's a short shuttle ride. When you disembark, you'll find an airport locator phone on the wall near luggage pickup. Go to that, pick up the phone, dial the proper number for the Best Western Airport Motel and tell them you need pickup. They'll be there in 10 to 15 minutes, at all hours. The rooms are not huge, but who needs a big one? This is a good place to stay. The staff were great. The food and accommodations good. Les mer

The hotel staff was really excellent - friendly and efficient. The room was quite large and had everything for a comfortable stay. Not very modern furnishings but clean and in good condition. Great place to stay for an early morning flight out of Melbourne.
