Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch - San Antonio

We loved our week-end at this resort! We will be bringing our kids and grand daughter to enjoy soon!

Wonderful, but no room service?!

Hotel was extreemly beautiful, peaceful and relaxing - we will be coming back, next time a little longer. Lazy river and other amenities were exactly what we were looking for in our getaway.

We had a great time. The pool, water slides, and lazy river are awesome. The rooms are spacious with everything you need and then some. The grounds are just lovely with spring flowers in full bloom. Super close to area attractions like SeaWorld. Highly recommend!

We left the room at 10am and it didn't get cleaned that day. At night, there's no one around to give us towels by the pool and because no one cleaned the room, we didn't have towels. The coffee pot carafe was cracked and it took over 2 hours to get a new one. The grounds were really nice and the pool/lazy river set-up was awesome. Our 5 and 7 year old […] loved this place. I loved the lazy river and swimming pool. I thought that check out time was too early and check in time was too late. It doesn't give you much time to enjoy the amenities when check in time is so late in the afternoon.

Awesome pool, friendly staff and clean rooms. This resort has a lot to offer. There were fire pits with private gazebos, hiking trail, close proximity to Sea World, San Antonio Zoo and other attractions. We had a great time!!!!

I have stayed here a few times recently as I travel on business to the San Antonio area frequently. The Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch will be my new hotel in the area for sure. The property is beautiful, rustic, and set in the rocky hill country. The gold course is beautiful, and the indoor/outdoor heated pool with waterslides is awesome as well. This hotel is a great place for families to stay.

Beautiful property, very friendly staff, and great room features. We loved playing in their indoor and outdoor heated pool, as well as the lazy river tubing. My son had a blast on their sandy beach next to the the lazy river, and the two fast slides are a blast for kids and adults alike (kids must be 48" to ride). The property has a golf course, and […] surrounding undeveloped areas which attract wildlife (we saw rabbits regularly, with occasional deer). A full kitchen helped defer meal costs, and make the stay more affordable. We look forward to returning soon! Les mer

Beds need to be replaced. The property is beautiful. The onsite restaurant had less then average service...food quality was average. The price from Hotels.com made all the difference. May consider wearing boots instead of fli[flops since it is in the country and we saw a small rattlesnake.

Just as long as you're expecting a vacation resort and not a hotel you're in good shape. The grounds were beautiful, and you even catch plenty of wild life running around. The lazy river was GREAT relaxation, and the Margarita's were a wonderful addition. Definitely a family place... lots of kids, but when it came time to float the river or go to the […] pool I was surprised it wasn't too busy at all. Very comfortable. The only complaint I have is the lack rooms that have a connecting door inside totally kills the insulation between rooms, so if there is a loud kid or family you're going to hear them. Shame for all the quality they put in this place to have doors w/o much insulation between connecting rooms. The only reason I gave it a 4 overall is because I've had 5's and this wasn't it. Not that there were any negatives to take away....there's just a few minor things between parking and placement of certain things within the room. For a Hyatt resort, it was a real disappointment. Really poor service. Hard to find anyone to help you with anything. A couple things were broken in the room (the spa part of the tub, and the coffee maker). Some of the outside lights were burned out, and the grounds were very dark, anyway. The facility gave me the impression of not being well cared […] for. Really lame-o children's activities. Obnoxiously loud neighbors kept us up- don't forget your earplugs. On the plus side, the large apartment or condo style rooms are a benefit to anyone who wants a lot of room, and the kids really loved the lazy river pool. We won't be back, though. Les mer

everything was great except the food from the restaurant. We had a burger that was very dry, but it was better than other hotel restaurants. The room was very clean except the old carpet, but furnishings were very clean and the bathroom was great. I would stay here again my kids loved it.

Beautiful grounds, fantastic pool & lazy river. Loved the cabanas and hammocks at the lazy river. Our suite was so nice and we enjoyed the balcony. We had steaks at JB's on the property & they were delicious. Even the little store, The Icehouse, had super sandwiches, breakfast tacos & kolaches. We'll definitely return!

This hotel is in a nice area and the property istelf is asthetically pleasing. However, I was exeptionally dissapointed by the seemingly apathetic attitude of the staff at the front upon arrival. I would also like to note that this seemd to lack the proper attention to detail for a property of this type. There was no cofee in the room with which to […] make coffee. I found this to be rather disapointing as most of the properties that I stay in are in this price range and all of them provide in room cofee packets for the copfee makers, and at least a bottle of water(yes I know they charge for it) and have larger, nicer rooms with more functional kitchenetes. The studio room is a novelty because of this and I would not serously consider staying here with the kitchenette in mind as it is only suffcient to say that it is there. This hotel could do a much better job with attitude, policy, provison and sevral other areas. It was a big dissapointment and did not live up to the hype. Les mer

We had a great time at the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch. We stayed in a studio which was fine for our family. There was a lot to do at the Resort as well as being very close to Sea World and an easy drive to downtown San Antonio. My only complaint is the food at the restaurant was not very good and it was somewhat pricy. My husband had the prime rib and it […] was awful! Other than that we had a wonderful time there. 3rd time here and love it! Our favorite place to go!!!!

We would absolutely stay at Wild Oak Resort again! It was a great family place, but this old married couple enjoyed our stay without children. We plan to go back with grandkids too.

This hotel is phenomenal. I loved everything about it. Our family was so welcomed and there was so much do. I will never stay in another hotel in San Antonio again. For the price, this will be "OUR HOTEL" for our future San Antonio trips.

We decided to try the Wild Oak ranch for a weekend trip to San Antonio. Overall the experience was enjoyable, but there were a few things that we were less than pleased about. First, the rooms were nice, but we were put above someone who was a heavy smoker. I’m allergic to smoke and as a result was unable to go out on the balcony. Second, the Air conditioning […] was very loud. Every time it kicked on, we were woken up. Next, the food was only so so… Normally I’d not mention this, but in the check-in process they very proudly told us they had a nice rustic atmosphere with good ranch style food. We got there and while the food was decent, it was burgers and pizza – not exactly what we were led to believe. After dinner we decided to go sit in the spa – WOW it’s hot, too hot to sit in. OK, let’s get in the pool maybe? Freezing! With the exception of the air conditioning, all of these were small gripes. Unfortunately the small bits did add up to a less enjoyable experience then we were expecting, especially since we use Hyatt nearly every time we stay out of town. We will possibly try this place again in summer – it felt like the staff was on “off season” mode, and we’d like to see if things are different in the peak season. Les mer

Hotel was nice- the rooms weren't as clean as I would have liked them (fingerprints all over the doors, handles, some dirt in the bathtub, dirty dishes in the cupboards). But, overall the room is more than standard- pretty nice. The major downside is the rules for the slides...they are NOT for little kids. You have to be 48" tall to ride, which was […] so lame b/c we had 5 kids (ages 6 to 18 mo) with us and none of them could ride the slides during our stay- a MAJOR drawback b/c they really wanted to and the slides are closely monitored by Hyatt staff so there is no "sneaking by". The landscaping/grounds were well-kept and beautiful. The lazy river was fun, not too crowded, despite the hotel being booked. You are not supposed to bring outside food into the pool area though...ugh. I got up early one morning to do a run in the fitness room, only to discover that it doesn't open until 7 AM...which is lame, b/c most people who work out avidly prefer to do it much earlier than that. But, the fitness room was wonderful, very nice, clean, water provided, fresh towels and the room was kept very cool- bonus. The pool temps were perfect and the restaurant on-site was pretty good, although overpriced (which is to be expected at a Hyatt resort). If you have older children and/or teenagers, they will love this. If you have little kids, I would DEFINITELY go to Hyatt Lost Pines near Austin. Its oriented much more towards younger families. We left my daughters homemade blanket in the room after checking out and they claimed they cannot find it- such a bummer! I hope it shows up. Overall though, it was a lovely stay. Les mer

We bought season passes for Fiesta Texas before we went to San Antonio. The kids ended up having more fun at the Wild Oak Ranch than at Six Flags. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The only downfall was that we had a screaming baby next door to us that would scream until 3:00 in the morning.

Loved this hotel. We had a 2 bedroom with a kitchen. Food is expensive, so shop and cook or go offsite. They had lots of great activities for families. Pools are great. We bought season passes to seaworld, so we'd come and go since it is only a few minutes away. Day at the hotel, night at Seaworld. You can easily spend your whole vacation at the h […] otel. Les mer

This was by far one of the best places I've stayed in. Very nice area, beautiful, quiet...a very relaxing place to be. The 2-bedroom condo was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed hanging out there when taking a break from the activities. We cooked a lot of our own meals there. I recommend anyone who wants a relaxing weekend in a great place!

This is a perfect place to stay with your kids. The condos were outstanding, big and equipped with ecerything you need and more...huge whirlpool tub, 50" plasma, DVD player, patio, washer and dryer, full kitchen, fire pits for smores at night and a tone of activities for the kids and family...you will not be dissapointed. If you are going to Seaworld […] it is right down the street...Fiesta Texas is a 15 minute drive but well worth the drive to stay here. The only bad thing is we only stayed 2 nights wish we would have stayed the whole week. Les mer

I picked The Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch because I was taking my 13 year old granddaughter and another 13 year old friend to Sea World and this location was close. As soon as we were in the room, both girls texted their parents explaining everything in the condo and what all was offered in the way of entertainment. it was a dream come true for them. We only […] stayed the week-end, but I want to come back and spend several days here. The whole atmosphere screamed relaxation. I would definately reccommend this place to everyone wanting to stay in the area. Les mer

Hotel was very nice. We had a wonderful weekend and will go back.

I love to use this place as an alternative to a hotel. Its never crowded and has a very laid back atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always have things to do for the kids.

excellent and fun hotel. couldn't take a family vacation anywhere better. kids loved it.

The hotel was great. It was very neat and clean. However, if the resort is full, parking is horrible. We were not able to park in front of our room section. Also, the hotel is not that easy to find. We actually went to the Hyatt Resort and Spa first. There are not any signs to let you know where it is. Overall we will go again, but this time with better […] directions. Les mer
