Ankom hotellet rundt kl. 10.30 på morgenen etter en lang togtur. Innsjekkingstid på hotellet var ikke før kl. 16. Likevel måtte vi bare vente 5 minutter på å få et rom, og resepsjonisten beklaget faktisk at vi måtte vente, enda det var vi som var tidlig ute. I tillegg ordnet de et rom for oss som lå på motsatt side av bygningen for der de holdt på med bygningsarbeid, siden vi skulle være der i 4 netter. Et par timer etter vi hadde sjekket inn og fått slappet av litt, ringte de fra resepsjonen for å høre om alt var bra på rommet. Hotellet har egen shuttle-service rundt om i sentrum, men det meste er i gangavstand. Restauranten ved siden av hotellet hadde også veldig bra mat, og med 7-eleven og liquor store rett over gata har man alt man trenger, selv om byen selvfølgelig har mye mer å by på. Servicen på dette hotellet er ihvertfall upåklagelig.

Såkalt motorhotel. Vi valgte Grouse Inn pga anmeldelser fra andre på hotels.com. 4 netter. Den var midt i blinken for oss som ikke hadde planer om å oppholde oss i rommet, men trengte ett trygt sted med seng og dusj. Vi hadde to queensize beds som var store for å være den str. Rommet var rent, men noe utdatert. De som jobbet der var hjelpsomme. Frokosten var ikke til å skryte av, men om man er småspist om morgen og syntes toast, frokostblanding og kaffe/ te + litt til er ok så er det de har å tilby. Ellers var beliggenheten bra. 1 min. å gå fra resep. til buss som går ofte og tar ca 7 min. Den tar deg til down town vancouver. Vil ikke anbefale å gå (selv om vi gjorde det) pga Lions Bridge som man må passere for å komme til sentrum. koster ca. $2.45 eller $3.75 (helg) Husk eksakt beløp, bussen veksler ikke. Passerer Stanley Park. Eller bruk sykkel, yppelig lagt opp for syklister i Vancouver!!! Grouse Mountain er like ved. Whistler mountain er en MUST SEE! Tar noen timer fra Downtown, eller bli hentet på hotellet. Hotellet er ikke ett romantisk paradis, men har ett basseng dersom du velger å ta med barna. Det så rent ut og ble brukt av andre gjester. Bensinstasjon like ved. Grei pris for beliggenheten, for Vancouver er ikke billig...

Vi haddde 3 overnattinger på hotellet, var godt fornøyd. Gode, rene senger, rent og tilfredsstillende på baderom og rom, kunne ane at hotellet er noen år gammelt, men dog helt greit.Treningsrommet hadde dårlig med utstyr og det som var der var noe gammelt, tredemøller var ok. Hyggelig og korrekt personale, god informasjon.

The location of the hotel is great, the staff were excellent, helpful and very polite. The room and especially the bathroom were very spacious. Fixtures were really nice, I enjoyed my stay very much and would highly recommend the hotel and I'll stay there again,

A gorgeous boutique hotel with a very classy ambience. The salt water lap pool on the terrace is absolutely spectacular. Beautiful buffet breakfast lounge that includes outdoor dining in the summer.

This is a wonderful hotel in downtown Vancouver - it was a couple of blocks from the skytram and within easy walking distance of shopping and bus lines. The staff is extremely helpful, we used their umbrellas on a rainy afternoon. The pool is small but great for laps and the hot tube is amazing. I highly recommend their brunch, it is a little pricy, […] but well worth the money. The room was clean and comfortable with a kitchen and spacious bath. The room was expensive, but worth the money to be so close to easy transportation and the great customer service made it a great value. Les mer

Lovelt hotel. Great room and pool. Neighborhood under construction and a parking lot. I stay here regularly. Great service. They "upgraded" me to a small suite from the large king room. "L'Hermitage Hotel in Vancouver"
This is a 60 room, high-end boutique hotel in the heart of Vancouver. The hotel is within a 5 min walk of the Light Rail Transit Downtown Vancouver station (which you can take directly from the airport for $8.50/person without changing trains). The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, just steps away from the shopping on Robson Street […] and Robson square, and the entertainment district on Granville Street. Best of all, you can walk to historic Gastown, the harbourfront, and take a cab for less than $10 to the Granville Island public market (totally worth it). As for the hotel itself, the room was clean and immaculate, complete with complimentary espresso, coffee, tea and two televisions with satellite feed. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious (clad in stone and high end fixtures). The gym area very good (several pieces of modern equipment and cardio machines). The pool and jacuzzi are open all year round (I used them in early February), and the 5th floor orangerie lounge is a great place to grab a free cup of coffee or tea in the morning and read the paper. Last but not least, the service in the hotel is by far the best I've experienced, and exceeded the service I've gotten at major hotels like Hyatt, Four Seasons, the W, etc. The concierge is knowledgeable and friendly, and the entire staff works to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable. The only negative I had was the heating & A/C unit in my room; the roof panel covering the duct work was loose and made a loud ratting sound when the heat was on (but this was fixed right away after a quick call to the front desk). simply the best hotel in Vancouver. I had previously stayed elsewhere, and believed the Opus to be the best stay in this beautiful city, but not anymore. L'Hermitage is by far the most convenient location, with beautiful rooms, and exceptional service! Don't bother looking elsewhere.

A very nice upscale hotel, we stayed in a petit boutique room, that was not really petit. A full size room with a king size bed and nice size wash room, exactly what we needed.The staff were as accommodating and pleasant as one could wish, we were treated very well. Location was very good; close to stadium, and a short walk to subway... at a very acceptable […] price. Did not try the restaurant, but had a nice breakfast in the lounge. I would certainly return. "What a place to stay!"
If returning to Vancouver this is the first hotel I would check for vacancies. I cannot fault this hotel - the staff ( a big thanks to Raymond the Conceiege and Shaun the doorman especially), the excellent room which looked on to the pool and a central location. You should definitely consider this hotel.

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and nothing much has changed - it's still the best in Vancouver.

A fabulous hotel. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. It's one of the few hotels that has a designated shower and not something hanging up in the bath. They have lovely little touches such as a turn down service in the evening and a coffee machine in the rooms. The only fault I could find was the intermittent noise of the air conditioning.

"The L'Hermitage Hotel in downtown Vancouver"
The hotel was right in the middle of downtown within walking distance to Robson Street, Granville Street, and Yaletown. Lots of restaurants, stores nearby. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and the staff friendly. Our kids loved Hippo the canine concierge the best!
Hotel was ok but rooms are a bit small .Staff very helpful. The Italian restraurant next door is really a sports bar and was very disapointing food wise and very expensive.

This is a pet friendly hotel and while we were told that our room was not a pet room, there was a distinct urine smell in the bathroom. They tried to eradicate it but to no avail. The lighting in the bathroom was poor but they did have a lighted make-up mirror. We like to read in bed and that was not possible with the lighting in the room. My wife and I recently stayed here and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff was wonderful and the location was perfect right in the middle of downtown Vancouver. The room was amazing. It was very spacious and the amenities were exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody going to Vancouver.

The hotel was lovely, food at attached restaurant Q4 was excellent. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They had 2 nice bikes which we borrowed for the day and rode thru Stanley Park and to the Granville Market and then all over town to get a look around. Great stay!

I have found the perfect place to stay in Vancouver. Robson shopping is close to walk to and when finished it's all downhill back to the hotel!! Wonderful breakfast and kids under 12 eat free. Impecable service and friendly atmosphere, resonable valet parking with in/out privleges. Nothing bad to say about this hotel!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this hotel. this was the second time I stayed there, and will certainly stay there again! friendly staff, conveniently located, and superb decor! The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean and chic. the breakfast is delectable as well!
