"Quiet and Clean"
This hotel was the perfect stay for one night. I had a triathlon in the Galveston area and didn't want to pay resort prices. This Comfort Inn was much cheaper and only a 10 minute drive from my race. If you ignore the refineries in the distance, it's in a pretty peaceful spot!

I chose this hotel due to the reviews on it. I have found that a more expensive room doesn't mean a better nights stay. This motel is one of the best values for a room I know of. I stayed in the king suite and it was very adequate in size and comfort. I was spending the weekend in Galveston and Kema and it was centrally located. The hotel is just fine. It was spring break. It was crowded everywhere including the hotel. Some adjacent rooms had noisy people who were a little disturbing. The breakfast is okay, but we had a few problems operating the coffee/water thermoses. Overall, the hotel is pretty nice. We plan to stay there again in May.

"VERY NICE PLACE"
The hotel had recently been remodeled so everything was new and very clean. The breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful. I will stay here again when I go back to Texas City.

The surrounding area is full of refineries. It is not really a bad point, but some may think so. The hotel was otherwise great. Cont. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were great. Room was great.

I had previoulsy dismissed staying in Texas City for a Galveston visit, but it only took 8-9 minutes to get to the Galveston bridge. The reason I decided to stay here was because of some of the negative reviews for hotels on the island for 1.5 to twice the price. I am willing to pay the higher price for the Island, but it sure better be worth every […] penny, and my impression was that they were not going to be, being frugal kind of person that I am. When we checked into Comfort Suites we immediatly went and checked out the rooms and went out to the pool everything was nice and clean. We went to breakfast the next morning and there was a good variety and we were very satisfied with the food and the rooms. The only suggestion we had was vent fans in the bathrooms. "Close to the Island, and Affordable!"
Great alternative to the pricy Galveston hotels. Less than 15 minutes to the Strand. Friendly staff, and clean hotel. Pool was small, and quaint. My husband and I enjoyed a romantic stay here for our anniversary. King sweet was spacious and had great amenities. Free movie channels were a nice perk. We'll be back soon!

I would only recommend in the event that you can't afford to be closer to Galveston. The drive is about 10 to 15 minutes from Galveston. There's a place behind the Golden Corral off the beach and 61st that appeared to be reasonable however I had booked and couldn't get out of deal.

This a a clean and comfortable hotel near the refineries in Texas City, about 10 miles from downtown Galveston. The breakfast was good, and the hotel was a good value, overall.

Can't say anything bad about the room. But the hallways were filled with stale smoke. Breakfast was awful. Only thing nice I could say is that front desk clerk came back to help other staff when needed. "Neat and new"
This looked new to me. And the hotel rooms and sorroundings were neat too. It was a bit far from the main area in this location. But, I guess this would be one of the best bets for guys who dont want to pay huge staying in Galveston or Khema.

Since Galveston is just a 15 minute drive, this is a good option for those who want to be close to Galveston, but not pay the price. The hotel and our room was very clean and furnishings were new. I think the employees need better training. We got lost and the girl at the check-in counter couldn't give us directions from I-45, and made it clear she […] did not know the neighborhood or where anything was nearby...not even what was for breakfast. "The Hotel In Texas City -near Galverston"
Checked in on Saturday March 5th 2011 at the Comfort Inn. Had a king-size suite. It was very nice. That was the best sleeping bed me and my husband agreeded. I will gladly make another reservation at this place again. Very happy. Location was close to Mall and other stores. Thanks .

A clean and comfortable hotel, with pleasent staff and a nice breakfast. We feel it is worth the price and its star rating. This is our third stay in teo years and will stay ther again on future visits to Texas City or Galvaston.
Very nice, clean and comfy rooms. We stayed on 3rd floor and upon coming down its as if someone had been smoking all down the hallway. We don't smoke so the smell to us very strong and bad. Other than that everything was great even they're breakfast.

I'd give it a 4+ rating. Other than the weird smell in the first floor hallway the hotel was very nice.
"Comfort Inn in Texas City"
We always stay at Comfort Inns. This one was just as we expected with one exception. The breakfast was not nearly as good as the others. Each morning we went down for coffee and there was none to be found anywhere. The food was sparse. A few donuts and some cold cereal.
Very nice, clean room except the massive amount of kids that were staying there. As a result, unable to use pool, excessively long wait in t he business center, teens in hallway and breakfast food scarce. Additionally, we had a room next to the elevator and could hear the dinging everytime someone got on or off.

"Great Hotel"
Very clean and convenient to Galveston. THe price for a room at this hotel was much less expensive than a comparable room in Galveston. Would highly recommend to anyone leaving on a cruise out of Galveston.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I normally don't go by the star rating. Instead I like to read the reviews and there were minor things wrong with this hotel that I believed they changed, like the continental breakfast. There was a variety to choose from and it was very fresh. The location was great because it was in the middle of everything. […] The beds were comfy and the room and bathroom was clean. The hotel, being fairly new, was in great condition. They work hard to maintain the air quality in their non-smoking rooms, putting the responsibility on those staying in them; that is as it should be. They seemed to be shortstaffed in the breakfast area and were lacking some of the breakfast items. However, they did get a worker there to bring it back […] up to par when notified.
