Located very close to the airport so very convenient. I think there's a shuttle. The room was really beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The heated pool got a lot of use I noted. There is a very convenient after-hours snack shop with sandwiches, sodas, water, pastries and fruit. There were plenty of eateries footsteps away. We spend a lot of time in San Diego. Most of the time we like to stay in the Gaslamp but this time we needed something closer to Point Loma so we chose the Courtyard Marriott. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very nice with small balconies. There is a Keurig coffee maker and a flat screen TV with high def. Very unusual for a San Diego hotel. […] The parking is also free which is a major plus in San Diego. They serve free coffee downstairs, there is a restaurant but we didn't eat there so can't comment. There are a few eating places within walking distance but you will be limited unless you have a car. The pool and spa are very nice and there is a fire pit although when we were there it was raining. Close to the airport and not too far from downtown. Clean and comfortable, overall a great stay. Ask for Jimmy at the lobby bar and his Margaritas are a must have, they are the best I have ever had. Only issue we had is that the bar is only open from 4pm to 10pm.

Great beds and pillows! Always my number one priority. The hotel was located next to a 92 acre park with walking paths and bay frontage. Beautiful! There were some restaurants and a shopping center within walking distance. The airport was literally less than 10 minutes away so no need to rush hours ahead to arrive for the flight. Location is great...view behind hotel with water way is gorgeous. Don't have any reservations about this place. Even watched some Netflix on the TV by hooking up my computer to it. Was fun!

As someone with a former career in hotel management, I have pretty high standard when it comes to staying at hotels. For the price paid, this hotel was a five-star value. The airport is near but there were no noise issues -- even when sleeping with the window open. All of the staff we encountered during our four-day stay, from housekeeping, front desk, […] bar staff and restaurant servers, were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. Any minor mistakes were immediately rectified with grace and efficiency. Our room was impeccable. The bathroom was spotless and appeared to be all new. Our young children were treated well but the place wasn't over-run with other people's annoying kids so that was an added bonus. ;) I would definitely stay here again! Les mer

Located very close to the San Diego Airport. This hotel offers a nice experience for the business traveler. Very professional courteous staff. A little difficult to get to at first but once you learn to drive through the shopping center entrance you will be fine.

Good comfortable bed and pleasant atmosphere. Fresh watermelon juice in the lobby was a treat.

My husband and I stayed here with our 18-month old and 5-month old and had a great time! The hotel had all the conveniences you would need with small children (i.e. refrigerator, small market in the lobby, microwave, and room service).The staff was incredibly friendly. My 18-month old had a total meltdown in the lobby and the woman at the front desk […] distracted her by giving her a super-fun toy. Also, my mother was coming to visit us and she got completely lost. She called the hotel for directions and someone at the front desk stayed on the phone with her until she arrived. I apologize for not knowing anyone's names. The hotel is located along the harbor with beautiful places to walk and a nearby shopping center. We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again. Les mer

Very clean and comfortable room. Friendly guest service and quick check-in. Excellent location, being close to the Zoo, Old Town, Balboa Park, and other San Diego attractions. Would definitely recommend.

I gave this hotel lower than a 5 rating because of the lack of service during the San Diego blackout. The hotel staff seemed I'll prepared to help. No flash lights, meager food, and when asked, they didn't know where the stairs were located! Also note that at the discounted rate, a room with a balcony will not be available.

The pictures on the internet show the hotel being on the bay when its a quarter of a mile away.This should be disclosed on the site.

Hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay. Staff was very helpful and cheerful. The hotel was tucked away behind a small plaza, which made it difficult to find the entrance/drive when we first arrived. Once we knew where the entrance was, it was nice to be off the street.

Stayed here for labor day weekend, was hesitant to book since it was so close to the airport but took the chance anyway. Surprised how quiet the property was no noise at all from airport unless you leave your balcony door open. Clean room friendly staff, would recommend to anyone!

Our family recently had an excellent 6 night stay at the Liberty Station Courtyard Marriott Hotel in San Diego. From our initial arrival (3 hours prior to check-in time) right through to our departure, the hotel staff were very friendly, extremely accommodating and were attentive to all of our needs. The hotel is located in a recently developed area […] (former military grounds) and has a very resort-like feel with clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and numerous sitting areas around the lobby. A very nice walking/running esplanade along the water is at the doorstep of the hotel. There are reasonably priced restaurants and a large grocery store nearby. Although located near the end of the airport runway, the rooms are very well sound-proofed. We look forward to our next stay at this hotel! Les mer

A wonderful, relaxing stay!

Our stay at the Courtyard Marriott at the San Diego Airport couldn't have been better. The van service driver was especially helpful, the check in team was smiling and friendly, the room was top flight. We give it 5 stars!

I enjoyed staying here, it's better than others in the area and convenient to family who live nearby

The hotel location is very good, a lot of free parking available just in front of it and employees are really great, breakfast is awesome, and we have very good moments in this hotel.

I was very impressed with the hotel service and location. My wife and I got in early and expected to wait for a few hours before we could check in. We talked to the front desk and they immediately got us checked in which gave us time for a nap instead of waiting all day. This hotel is a typical Marriott. Nothing special. The sofa bed is awful. I do feel the web photos mis-represent the location of the hotel. The staff are very nice and helpful. Would not recommend and would not stay here again.

Great clean place w/ walking trails, shopping and eateries close by and free parking. Lots of history and easy place to navigate to area hotspots.

Our criteria for selecting this hotel sight unseen was to be nearby friends who live in the area at a reasonable cost. We were completely delighted with this hotel. It was perfectly located for us and was situated on the water. The grounds were impeccable and resort-like (beautiful pool, spa and outdoor sitting areas), and had great amenities. There is a restaurant in-house that serves breakfast and dinner, and a deli that's always open for snacks and goodies. Good food and great service! Our room (2 queen beds) was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. Great coffee maker. Nice TV and stereo system. A small refrigerator to store our wine and snacks. Easily accessible, reliable and FREE Internet access. We called for extra blankets and help with the Internet and received assistance with both within 5 minutes. The front desk staff was warm and helpful. Parking is free and is in a large lot with ample spaces. For the comfort and amenities, this hotel was a steal! We will definitely be back, hopefully for a longer stay so we can take full advantage of the benefits and location. Les mer

I read the reviews of this hotel before I made my reservation. It was because of the reviews that I stayed there. All of the complimentary remarks were valid.The only disturbance was that my room smelled a little of a horse's saddle. Very clean hotel, room was clean and confortable but I would bring my own pillow next time because the pillows smelled of human sweat. The breakfast is well worth the extra 15 dollars if the option is still available. Fresh berries made to order omlets and waffles. Staff was very nice and very helpful. Very nice area and great view. Our only problem we experienced was that there were no mirrors inside the actual hotel room. The only mirrors available were in the bathroom which made it difficult for us to get ready with four adults (two females) while we took turns taking showers, we couldn't get our makeup and hair done until everyone was done with […] the restroom. We had a family wedding in San Diego and all stayed at the hotel. The front desk staff was excellent especially Kurt. The security guard around the pool was so kind to our fun group. Courtyard by Marriott San Diego was a very clean, comfortable and quite hotel considering it was next to the airport. Plenty of towels and pillows for a well decorated room. We were in San Diego over the 4th of July. Although the price of this hotel was higher than we usually pay, it was actually CHEAPER than another lower for the holiday weekend than another lower priced hotel chain we usually use. Although the restaurant, which is basically part of the lobby, didn't look like much, the food was absolutely fantastic. I […] had one of the best steaks every there! And the breakfast buffet was great as well. It wasn't continental (we had to pay for it), but it was well worth the price. Hot food, made to order waffles, omlettes, fresh fruit, cereal, etc. We loaded up and just skipped lunch. The room was beautiful and the fireworks watched from the balcony on the 4th floor were fantastic! Staff was ever-helpful, pool was great...no complaints AT ALL! Les mer

We booked three rooms over this weekend for a family reunion. The stay was very pleasant. The kids loved the pool and Jacuzzi. My parents enjoyed the walk by the water. Overall we all really enjoyed the hotel, its ambience and even the Deli/ Cafe. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who wants an affordable yet very pleasant holiday.

The Courtyard is new and in an excellent location. Overall we had one of our worst hotel stays due to the following issues. The first is the horrible engineering of the building. We had the top floor in the middle and 24/7 machinery turns on and off on the roof and prohibits consistent sleep. The front desk claims about 10 rooms can hear the noise. […] The bathroom fan is continuous and so loud you must keep the bathroom door closed to sleep. The worst part of our stay is the lack of enforcement by the staff to keep the pool deck clear after hours. There were a gaggle of business drunks out back until well after midnight on both Friday and Saturday. I went to the front desk and they said the deck should have been cleared by 10pm and that they would have it cleared. I sat out of sight in the lobby and it took another 45 minutes for the staff to clear the area. There is ZERO sound attenuation of the balcony doors. Someone in a neighboring room was smoking off their balcony and the smell came into our room from the A/C vent off the balcony. Again, the complaint was made to the front desk and they did little to fix the issue. On an positive note the Green Tea Mojito is great! Les mer
