Hadde et fantastisk opphold på Pudi Boutique Hotel! Flotte rom, med enorme bad, internasjonale tv-kanaler, hyggelige og hjelpsomme ansatte som snakker godt engelsk og perfekt beliggenhet. Det var mange OK resturanter i umiddelbar nærhet som var fine til både frokost, lunsj eller middag. Ligger også flere butikker som selger vann/brus/is osv rett i nærheten. Treningsrommet var desverre litt lite, men det var ingen andre som brukte det! Hvis man trenger litt mer plass kan man jogge i Fuxing Park. Er alt i alt kjempefornøyd med oppholdet, har ingen negative tilbakemeldinger og vil helt klart bo på samme sted neste gang!

veldig rent og pent hotell i sentrum av Shanghai. Rommene er fine, og blir vasket hver dag. stort bad! Vi ønsket vestling frukost, så hadde ikke dette inkludert. Men der er en bra cafe på andre siden av gaten, gode ciabatta, ferskpresset juice og god kaffe. Det er lokalisert rett ved fabric market, som var veldig bra for oss som ønsket å sy oss mange nye klær.

Jing’an er en sentral og tett befolket bydel. Her bor et stort antall vestlige innvandrere, og bydelen rommer mange luksuriøse boligkomplekser. Det slående Buddhist-tempelet Jing’an Temple is definitely er absolutt verdt et besøk. Det regnes som en av Shanghais mest berømte severdigheter, med den største sittende jade-Buddhaen i Kina, og en 3,5 tonns kopperbjbble fra Ming-dynastiet.

I checked in late at 9pm and get upgraded to executive room on the 23rd floor with free wifi. The room is not the biggest for the bucks, but it was very clean and comfortable, modern, very well furnished. I loved the bathroom, took a bath, enough lighting, bathroom is exetremely important to me. Love the fact there is a swimming pool in the hotel, very […] clean and well maintained, and i did my exercise. I stay one night so the room and the hotel was very under utilized. "Just don't get it..."
I paid for my room in full and when the reservation desk asked to block $200 in addition on my credit card and I asked why they explained for "incidentals". After a 10 minute conversation the manager asked me to sign some form explaining I would not enjoy any of the items in the mini-bar. Evidently that was what the $200 dollars was for. Then when my […] daughters and I went swimming my daughters went ahead to the room after we finished and I realized that I could not get to the room because they had the room key. The clerk said I would have to call them and get them to come down with the key. I stood there with my towel, wet hair waiting on my daughters to come down and bring me the key. Even though they obviously knew I was a guest at the hotel. Oh, and I asked if they had any goggles to borrow. No just for sale and they were 228 rmb which is about $35. It's all about gauging the customer. This is a very nice hotel, but they just don't get it. Customer service and making the customer really feel welcome just does not shine through. Les mer
"Swisshotel Shanghai - nice for business stay"
I paid a little extra for an Executive club room which was worth the breakfast and the free wireless which is normally not included in the standard rooms. The executive club level is also a nice place for a drink in the evening.

The hotel is located in a central business location on the Puxi side of Shanghai, offering all amenities that a business traveler could ask for. "Great Hotel for the price"
Stayed in the Excutive floors. Only problem with this hotel is the wireless which is supposed to be available in the rooms is not always strong enough to use.

Couldn't be better!! Staff outstanding and attentive. Room was terrific!! Location just around the corner from a Metro stop and the Jing'an Temple. Great price, great value, wouldn't stay anywhere else!!!
"Perfect Hotel in Shanghai"
I stayed at the Swissotel in Shanghai for four nights and had an excellent stay. From the airport, I took the airport bus service to the City Center and the hotel is right around the corner. It only cost me 22 RMB for the airport transportation (less than 4 USD). I had originally thought about taking the Maglev/metro from the airport but found the bus […] cheaper and more convenient (no metro transfers). The Swissotel is in a perfect location, a few minutes walk to the Line 2 metro. Walking distance to the Nanjing Road shopping. The hotel is fairly new and modern. The room is decorated very nicely. The bathroom is large with a walk-in shower or a bathtub. The towels are large and fluffy white. The bed was comfortable, a bit firm but that's the way I like it. Nice LCD TV with CNN, BBC, HBO etc. The staff were very helpful and check-in and check-out was a breeze. The concierge was helpful with writing out directions for the taxi drivers to my destinations (such as to the Qi Zhong tennis stadium for the ATP Masters). Overall, I was very impressed with this hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next trip back to Shanghai. Les mer

"Excellent Business/Luxury hotel"
Spent 7 nights while on a business trip to Shanghai. The hotel facility and staff are top notch. Business friendly with luxurious spa/pool and amenities. Will definitely stay here again on future trips. VERY satisfied.

Modern hotel in central location down town. Right above metro station and supermarket. Great pool and sauna. Food was so so especially breakfast but otherwise this was good value. Will definitely stay here again.

Very convenient location... close to many of the shopping and restaurant areas such as Plaza 66 and a major shopping center next door (JiuKong)
"simply luxurious"
I had not read a lot of really positive reviews on this hotel, so it was a leap of faith to book it. I saved money by paying for a non-refundable room, then paid extra for wireless and access to fitness. the room was beyond nice. large, wonderful linen, great lighting for reading, etc. bathroom had wonderful faucets, contemporary, with great shower […] and deep tub. great toiletries and tobes. beds were firm, but comfy. I did not find them too hard. there was a glass wall between the bathroom and sleeping area. fun, especially for singles of romantic couples. drop down shade can close off glass wall. spa was amazing. 3 hot tubs (2 individual tubs) and 1 cold tub. pool with skylight. nice gym. i tried to get wifi working, but could only get the cable working. not the end of the world. location is great, with metro next door, and a huge shopping mall next door, with a reasonably priced food area in the basement. The huge Jing An temple was next door. This was such an amazing hotel. watch out for transportation from Pudong airport to Hotel. They will change 400 yuan, more than double the correct rate. move past all the people offering public transportation, and go to the official taxi stand. just line up and jump into the next taxy. avoid those people who want you to sign something and take a car! cabs are very cheap in shangai. but look out for the crowds on all public transportation - boats, metro, trains. be prepared to push, shout and shove. if you don't know mandarin, you are out of luck. do the guided tour thing. One of our party some some mandarin (she is chinese) and even she had a hard time with everything. good luck! Les mer
"Great hotel, terrible food"
The rooms are great, free internet. The location is top. The one problem is the food, AWFUL. Everything contains either beef, chicken, or pork. The one night there was sushi, they ran out at 7:50. Dinner only opens at 6:30. Had to eat salad for breakfast every morning because i didn't want pork wontons for breakfast.

"Nice Hotel but NOT very Westernized"
I stayed here 4 nights after spending the prior 3 at the Hilton. This hotel is undoubtedly newer and more chic, but the quality of service wasn’t there for a 5 star 'Western' hotel. Many of the workers struggled with English, the food was 'interesting' at the breakfast & dinner buffets and the location was okay. Good: Nice, clean, new 4-5 star hotel […] within a short walk to the #2 subway train. The rooms were modern with a nice shower, bath & flat screen. Okay: My rates were cheap and included breakfast, the modern features of the room were nice. Bad: Few Westerners stay at this hotel (esp compared to the Hilton); there was no shop to buy a coke or batteries or anything like that. The food choices were extremely limited - you had an over-the-top expensive steak restaurant, a buffet restaurant where most of the food was unrecognizable to me and a very traditional Chinese restaurant where all of the menus were in mandarin. They advertise a health snack place by the spa, but I called twice & was told there was no food. Generally large 5-star hotels have a place to grab a coke and crackers if you need them. Finally, while they tried, many folks with the concierge and help desk spoke poor English. I had internet troubles that couldn’t be fixed b/c of the language barrier & nobody offered to help. On top of that, the business cntr keeps limited hours. I'd stay here again, b/c the room was nice but think a more centrally 'bund' located hotel with more options would be a wiser choice. Les mer
