we were in Oro Valley for the Duathalon National Championship. Breakfast at the hotel is normally served from 6-9 am, but was made available at 5am on race day to accommodate those competing. We've never before seen a hotel accommodate racers in this way! there is a multiuse path just behind the hotel, which is very pleasant to walk or bike along.
"pleasantly surprised"
We played in a 5 day golf tournament where the majority of the folks stayed at the Hilton. I discovered this hotel w/ it's great rate and included a hot buffet breakfast. Parking was convenient, the front office folks were helpful, and the room was clean.The place is quiet and actually hard to see from the main drag. "Room noise"
The walls between rooms is not very soundproof. You can hear your neighbors talking.

Money was clearly spent on the decor and not the quality of the construction. I didn't sleep the first night because I could hear the man in the next room snore! The walls are paper thin!!! It's too bad, because the location is good, the rooms are nice, and the free breakfast and business center make it convenient!

Oro Valley Hotel & Suites is part of the Wyndham Hotels Family, and as always very pleasant to stay at with affordable rooms, and surprisingly FREE wifi, that's right, FREE, which in the every growing technology world we live in is quite a nice thing when "nicer" hotels are still charging more for a room, and on top of that charging for WiFi. "Oro Valley Hotel - A+ service and location"
Right off the bat we were greeted by a lovely front desk clerk who checked us in and gave me great tips for the surrounding area. The room was very nice and very comfortable. Only one small complaint, there were qtips on the side of the chair and some garbage behind it. But do not let that sway your decision to stay here! I was traveling with my two […] sons (11&16) and they went straight to the pool. It was beautiful, clean, heated, and there was a hot tub for me to relax the drive away in! From the pool there was a great view of the mountians and a great waterfall feature. We took advantage of the work out room as well. It was small but had all the essentials. The breakfast in the morning was a feast (fresh fruit, yogurt, bagles, toast, eggs, bacon, coffee, juice....and more). The front desk manager gave us great suggestions for fun attractions in the area and check out was very easy. Les mer

Only problem or ciomplaint was the very noisey aircomditioner fan motor. Otherwise very nice placeto stay.

"Nice 3 year old hotel - clean and nice breakfast."
I stayed during a busy time in Tucson so the rates were a bit higher than what I feel the hotel warranted. It was clean and they do provide a nice free breakfast. I called the hotel directly and they told me they were sold out. I brought up hotels.com 5 minutes later and booked a nice king size room with no problems. "Nice clean facility"
Hard to see any signage at night, but new and clean. Wi-fi very intermittent, which was frustrating. Great breakfast, nice staff. I would stay here again.
"In town for gem shows"
We were in Tucson for the Gem Shows, and chose to stay out of town because we enjoyed this hotel in the past. It didn't disappoint in that it is attractive, safe, clean and well kept. We do wish, however, that the breakfast went on a little longer. As we drive in from California, arriving late, along with a time change, it's hard to get into the 6:00 […] to 9:00 time frame. We do chose hotels with the free breakfast, as it saves time & money, and is a real feature for us. "Okay, But"
I stayed a week at this hotel and the positives are as follows: 1) good location near chili's, target, grocery etc. 2) New construction and excellent amenities such a spa, exercise room, but the negatives: 1) for a week the breakfast included a 4 slice toaster was only at a 50% capacity--- causing waits everyday at brkfst, 2) the maid service did not […] change linens everyday- nor vaccum, 3) the doors slam very loudly-- at all hours, 4) the walls are thin. "Great Breakfast hard to find"
Stayed here for a quick weekend trip. While it took a couple u turns to find the hotel, (lack of sign + neighboring construction) I checked in promptly and with ease. The hotel was nice and clean, the gym was very minmal but the outdoor pool was heated and has a nice hot tub. The room was clean and big although the bathroom had two issues, the toilet […] seat was cracked through and pinched my daughters skin when she sat on it and a marble shelf in the shower was becoming unglued. I reported it and was offered another room but declined as I had no time to pack up and move. The complimentary breakfast was pretty great, eggs, bacon sausage, cereal, fruit, waffle maker, biscuits and gravy, juices etc. Les mer
"Help needed - staffing woefully short!"
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our accommodations during our stay (2/4/12). Although you were fully booked adequate staff was not assigned. There was no way one desk clerk could serve all the guests. Our check in took 30 min., the phone was ringing the entire time. A man came out of the managers office, went behind the desk, but offered […] no assistance. The name plate for: manager on duty, was blank. The following deficiencies were found in room 117. The wall light did not work. There were no hangers in the closet. There was no exhaust in the bathroom. In the morning, inadequate staffing continued to be a problem. Only one person was available to serve the breakfast bar. The frustrated desk clerk attempted to help. Food was adequate but the line to the toaster was long because only one side worked. Our room key had to be recoded because it would not function in the North entrance. These were Major Deficincies and would not recomend this hotel. Les mer

"Nice place, but you can hear everything"
The hotel is clean and fancy and the staff was very nice, knowledgable, and accomodating, but the building was built poorly and you could hear everything. Noises on the roof, in the laundry rooms and service halls, any door being opened or shut in the hall, even snoring through the wall from the adjacent room. The noises were constant through the night […] and it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. The bed and room were comfy, so bring a white noise machine, or earplugs if you are staying here. "Oro Valley Inn - great interior, spare grounds"
This hotel is well situated in Oro Valley and its surrounding suburbs, and near the town of Catalina, but is quite a ways north of the actual center of Tucson. It has great views (at least on the one side of the long north-south hotel) of the Catalina mountains. Close to the highway, it is still quiet from road noise. An adjacent Chili's restaurant […] is a short walk across the parking lot, with what look to be other shops coming soon in a new little strip-mall. Interior of the hotel is very nice, fitting its 2-1/2 star accommodations (the night before, we stayed at another Tucson location claiming to be 3-star that was more like 1-1/2... ick). Room was great, with modern design, newer furnishings, with comfortable beds/pillows, nice bathroom, refrig/micro/coffee/bar. We don't watch TV, but it looked quite nice and big as well. Best part was an operable window, to let in the beautiful winter Tucson air and sun. Good sound insulation, that was tested by occupants of the room next door arriving with loud (happy) children after 9pm, who couldn't manage to respect that others might be already trying to rest. Didn't make use of the fitness area, but it looked reasonably roomy and well equipped, with a view out to the pool area. The breakfast area is spacious, being right off the lobby, and seemed to have a typical menu of continental breakfast items. Other facilities like business area seemed to have the standard fare, but well decorated and maintained. Pool was nicely warm for winter swimming, and hot tub was without strong chlorine smell, though a bit too hot for my taste (wife loved it, though). Unfortunately, the pool/spa area is just an uninspired concrete-block walled enclosure, not much bigger than the pool and spa, tacked onto the side of the "ocean-liner" of the hotel above... feels a bit claustrophobic, and not really what I would expect for a hotel like this. "Spectacular Sunrise at the breakfast table"
I enjoyed a spectacular sunrise while eating breakfast and sipping on a hot cup of coffee. Missed the hotel on the first pass, but saw it on the way back, it is slightly off the road behind frontage building. A better lit sign at night would be nice. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Clean and modern.

"Too loud"
The hotel itself was nice, but the weekend we stayed there a group of loud people were staying there as well, and there was no security guard onsite to make sure they kept it down. Also, the pillows were too soft. Besides that, I enjoyed my stay, but would only recommend staying here if you absolutely had to.
"Close to Hampton Inn and Suites on Oracle"
I think this hotel is almost as good as Hmapton inn and suites on oracle. The shortages are 1. I heard snoring of next room 2. TV channel is less than Hmpt inn. 3. Less exit to parking, long walk to car 4. Some interior was broken. The advantages are 1. there is a mini refriegerator 2. room might be a little wider than Hmpt inn 3. "Another nice Oro Valley Hotel"
Its nice to come to a clean, comfortable, non-smoking hotel that actually has odor free non- smoked in rooms which seems to be hard to find in a lot of "non-smoking" hotels. My wish list would be for some free weights in the workout room and some kind of discount system for repeat customers or longer stays.

"Hotel Oro Valley"
We enjoyed the hotel very much. It was very clean and the furniture was high end for a medium end hotel. Our room was clean, queen bed had high end sheets and tripled sheeted. thick towels and the room cleaned from top to bottom every day.Wish we spent more time in room, but it was my Dad's 90th birthday and had a wonderful long weekend with him...

"Best Kept Secret in Oro Valley"
We could not believe that this hotel was not full . . . simply unbelievable . . . rooms were great and very quiet . . . staff was courteous and went out of their way to assist us (road work created detour and she researched and printed out the directions taking us another route to the Phoenix airport) . . . and the breakfast was tremendous (and included!) […] . . . the pool was one of the best ever as it was shaded in parts by the building so you could choose NOT to cook :-). Parking was easy, lobby was friendly and the breakfast eating area was always kept clean and neat and had a GREAT big screen TV . . . . we will save time next time going to visit the grandkids in Catalina/Oro Valley by simply booking at this hotel . . . too bad you do not allow us to give it a 10 . . . .only problem was that the hotel is off Oracle Raod by about 100 yards and not easily seen . . . picture used is a front shot that is not visible from Oracle, the main road . . .
