Nice Property. The Food selection was plenty and the price was not bad compared to the other properties within the surrounding area.

This hotel caters primarily to smokers. Non-smokers certainly won't feel welcomed. There weren't any clearly labeled and enforced non-smoking areas, so my wife and I would be watching a show or sitting at one of the bars and someone would sit next to us smoking a cigar. Everywhere you turn, someone was smoking. Even around young children. They should […] make more of an effort to cater for the non-smokers as well. That really ruined our stay. Les mer

Nice hotel. I didn't like the food. There was a stronge order in the room. I saw cock roach twice, one in the dinning room and in my room. My husband and I had a great time.
"Riu Montego Bay, Jamaica"
This resort is humongous, and as such, offers all the amenities expected. The lobby is beautiful and has an active, fun bar area and nice gift shop. The lobby is the only area that gets internet service. There are excellent nightly shows and entertainment in the large bar area. Dinners are by reservation in one of the large restaurants, and it can be […] hard to get a reservation in the one you want on the night you want it. Otherwise, there's a huge buffet restaurant, which is also where breakfast and lunch are served. It's very loud and chaotic and typical "buffet" and has pretty much the same food all the time. Another option is to get the jerk chicken from the chicken shack on the beach, then go to the buffet to get your sides. The pool area is beautiful, and the swim-up bar is a lot of fun. There are a lot of fun activities offered on the beach and at the pool, and the staff there is very fun. The beach was not great for swimming because there was a lot of seaweed. Kayaks and paddle boats are available. The Riu is located directly in the flight path of the Montego Bay airport, so planes fly over, very low, pretty regularly. The king size bed in our room, which was actually two twins pushed together, was very hard and not all that comfortable. There are a couple of malls right across the street with shopping, restaurants and souvenir shopping. There are several tour companies available in the lobby to sign up for excursions, and there's lots of great ones to do. Les mer
This hotel is full of contradictions. It's very big and expansive. Rooms and grounds are well-maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beach area and pool are very comfortable with great views. But if you want to relax somewhat privately and quietly, this is not the place. Lots of people and can feel like being in a small city. Bars/drink areas […] are not conveniently placed along the beach so there's a long walk for a drink. Hotel services are not well publicized; food was terrible in most instances. And despite the nice rooms, there was no coffee maker in them. So had to travel quite a ways for my first coffee. No hotel-owned airport shuttle; Wifi only in the hotel lobby which is again, a long walk from the rooms whenever you have to use the web. Les mer

Very satisfied with our stay here. Food was excellent, staff were wonderful, rooms were very nice. There was a good variety of things to do and they were staffed and promoted by excellent staff. Would recommend and would return for another visit in the future if able.

"i had awful trip"
one day i found a cockroach on the ceiling it took them i hour to come kill it the next day i found a big water bug climbing all over my toothbrush , last of all they put me in building 4 on the 4th floor no elvator last room on the floor i am 60 with on regard to my age i will not never go back there.

"rui mobay the best ever vacation"
I stayed at rui from august19-27,2011 and one word comes to mind AWESOME!!!.The entire staff from front desk to housekeeping was very pleasant and efficient . It was my husband 40th birthday and I must say the staff made it extra special for us.The staff worked as team to ensure that the rui experience was a good one.The entertainment crew was superb,energetic […] and well put together.I Cant wait to take my kids there next year. "Average place to stay"
The Riu, in my opinion, is average. There's nothing overwhelmingly good or bad about it. Some specific items however; the food is the same thing everyday. Your best bet is to eat the jerk chicken located at the beach hut. Its the best thing they have. The Asian restaraunt was second best. the location is poor because your located in the pathway of the […] airport take offs. It can be annoying. The pool bar area gets nasty. Look at the edge of the water where all the film and gunk floats too. The shows are boring...though the entertainment staff works their butts off. Kudos to them. The beach is ok. The water in the cove isn't too appealing so you'll have to go elsewhere for snorkling. Overall, we had a good time because of the group we traveled with. The hotel is just underwhelming with respect to food and entertainment and service (if you want fast service, give a small tip and they'll remember you. Otherwise, they'll look at you and walk away for a few minutes). Les mer

the beds are to hard and not comfortable the mattress is extremly firm and not cozy for some people is ok that like it firm but i was very unfortable, and i understand that is an all inclusive hotel but the workers should be more happy and motivated they should have no problem maaan right thank you
"Don't Do It!!"
My stay was for 5 days. When I got to the hotel there was no staff to help me with my bags. Got to the room and there was no iron. It took 3 calls to the front desk to finally get an iron. There were two short blackouts during my stay. The dining room was without air-conditioning, only fans. The hotel room was often without air-conditioning. Thank God […] at least there was a ceiling fan. Staff not courteous at all. They hit on guests and rarely say "Hello." If you like staying in the "Hood" in Arizona in the middle of summer with no service, then this hotel is for you!! Les mer
"Celebrating 1st Wedding Anniversary"
It took us almost 1 hour to get checked into our room. The front desk staff was unorganized. In addtion, I had a soft cast on my left foot. They put us in a room on the 2nd Floor, in which the elevator did not work for the entire time I was there.
