All the staff was friendly and informative. Rooms very clean and the beds were very comfortable.The only thing that we didn't like was that the gift shop is located in the casino section and people under the age of 21 can't go to it.

The hotel was nice but the price was completely out of line. I've gotten better rooms in Times Square for a similar price!

"HSHR in Bangor, ME"
This is by far the best hotel and casino that I have been to that is close to being as good as the ones in Las Vegas, NV. I had a great experience.

Our visit was for personal (rather than business) reasons. My dad was having surgery at Eastern Maine Medical Center and this hotel was a convenient drive from the hospital. Everything in this hotel is pretty much brand new. They have a strict no smoking policy inside the building ($250 cleaning fee charged for smoking in one of the hotel rooms), so […] there's no residual smoking odors for anyone who happens to be allergic. The room and bathroom were each very spacious. There's a snack bar on the first level where they actually prepare the food in front of you (food quality was very good and portions were generous), and there's a buffet available, also. The quality of the food at the buffet (for dinner) could have been better for the high price, but there were lots of choices. Geaghan's Restaurant (an Irish pub) located next door at the Fireside Inn was a better dinner choice for sure. I plan to stay here again in the near future, and would definately recommend it to others, as the slightly higher price (compared to other area hotels) is definately worth it. Les mer

The room was nice and clean. No hassle check in/check out. Plenty of parking. The food from the Cafe was awful. The only other food onsite was a pricey buffet.

"Hotel close to Downtown"
This hotel is the hotel you should stay at went your in Bangor. Its close to downtown (5 mins) and 5 miles to the Bangor shopping Mall,exit 182. At night you can relex at the Casino and have a wonderfull lunch (if its a raining its a perfect place to be). Everything is nice about this hotel.

I would recommend all to stay at least a night. The rooms were large and very clean. Breakfast was included and it was a good breakfast, NOT continental. Fun time playing the slots. Nice bar, with flat screens and good entertainment ! Fun time.

More information should be provided for tourists staying your hotel. Menu was lack of variety in lunch and dinner buffet to satify my taste. Entrance to hotel is not convenient.

I took 2 kids to a Waterfront Concert show and Hollywood Slots was the closest place to the venue - thank goodness!! We were able to have dinner at the buffet (conveniently located in the hotel) and walk to and from the concert. The rooms were immaculate and the beds were super comfy! Will definitely stay again! :)

Should have somewhat of a dress code for such a classy looking place. Shocked by the location... next to low class housing, & homeless people. Henceforth the dress code!!!! Great place to JUST stay & Gamble....Nothing else to do!!! Not in walking distance to shops just Macdonalds & Tim Hortons. We would have stayed longer Gambling at night if their […] would have been other things to do n walking distance during the day. We did however enjoy our very short visit, great view from our room . I don"t think adding game tables is going to make a difference for us to return. I made my reservation via telephone and was connected through Expedia. I thought I was talking to the desk at the Hotel. I could not understand the person and she couldn't understand me. I asked for a receit when I left and was told I would need to get that from Expedia. Only one elevator to the rooms very long way from the casino. I have stayed at […] many hotels across the nation and I have never not been given a receit when I left. I hope there is no charges on my card other than for the room that was very expensive. Les mer

The hotel was very clean...we had trouble getting into our room....it took 1 1/4 hour for us to get settled into our room....the maintenance guys were excellent but the front desk girls were very unpleasant like....they were total robots and never had any sympathy whatsoever...we were given $20 vouchers for the buffet which was very nice but it sure […] put a damper on our relaxing time before the concert...very stressful...but very nice place and the casino was beautiful..the room was very clean...like I said the front desk girls were robots with no hearts!!! It was very close to the concert...could not of asked for a better location.
