"Overated facility"
This facility is one of the highest priced in the area. I checked in Monday and they immediately put a hold on my credit card for a 100.00 dollars. Four days later and the money has still not reached my account. There is no reason for this to take place especially when I'm a platnium member with Holiday Inn. "Nice hotel"
This hotel was clean an friendly. The breakfast had a wonderful variety of things. I would definitely stay here again.
"Pool closed"
When we arrived at the hotel we found the pool to be closed due to repairs. It was closed for the three days that we were there. One of the reasons we picked the hotel was for the pool. My 4 year old was excited to go swimming but no luck. I understand things break down but the customer should be notified at the time of booking. "Convienient Location, perfect for what we needed"
Staff was very nice and welcoming; even the new trainee was confident and proud, I was happy when we checked in. The room were not large in space, but had everything we needed. (Who uses all that space when all ya need is the bed, tv, and wi fi at night? LOL) We chose the hotel because of the swimming pool; the kids had a blast! Only downfall, late […] the first night, there was a party bust up, cops were arresting people right outside. Wasn't too bad though, kept waiting for a film crew to show up, would've been nice to be on Cops. Les mer
"Great hotel but they would not make my bed"
It is do bad how a lot of business group miss the easy things. Great stay, good people had a good time with the grand kids but....... could not get then to make the beds. Asked nicely twice and both times they asked if I had left something on the bed. Reply was no both times and they said they would take care of it but that did not happen. I am a big […] boy and can make my own bed but it just seems like thats one of the reasons you go to a hotel for. Funny me. Than, without tell me or showing it on the check-out paper, they charged me $100 just for ensadentals. When I called about it they said no problem they do that to everyone and they will take the charge off my credit card soon. Les mer
"New, clean, but next to Home Depot"
The Express is probably one of the newer/cleaner hotels in Fairbanks in the same price range. It wasn't exactly centrally located although easy to get to off the parkway. You'll find it in the middle of a shopping plaza along with Barnes and Nobles, Home Depot, etc., which is strange or potentially convenient. I was worried about possible noise from […] the parkway, but didn't have a problem inside. It will likely be overrun by children, however, which is great for families but less than great for someone looking for a quieter environment. Hotel service was a little slow (they seemed somewhat undermanned) but nothing inadequate. The breakfast buffet while including hot items was still about average for a free hotel breakfast. For anyone who is more comfortable staying in a newer, cleaner, and more modern room (there was a plasma tv), though, I would recommend the Holiday Inn Express. Les mer
"bad room service"
The room service wasn't great as my room wasn't serviced while I was out in the daytime. When I returned in the evenings, the one day all they dressed was only my bed and second day they did nothing. Hot water was running good but with intermittent mix with cold water.

"Great family hotel"
We stay here almost monthly, and love the courteous staff, hot breakfast, swimming pool and central location. Our specific room-type was overbooked upon check-in, but we were fairly compensated with a full-nights refund. In addition, the rooms tend to get a little hot with the AC turned off for the winter, but with AK weather, cracking the window briefly […] cools it right down :) Les mer

i thought the hotel was very nice the employees were freindly and helpful, ammenities were good , the pool was awesome and so was the breakfast, the beds are very comfortable and the location is great!
"Great family hotel!"
We stay at this hotel a few times a month and enjoy the friendly/accomodating service. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and it's a great family hotel with a pool/hot-tub and free breakfast. They also give free cookies in the evening (such a nice treat) and always have coffee/tea ready for guests 24/7 - thank you!

"Great Room"
The hotel was great! The breakfast was above and beyond with eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy and really good cinnamon rolls. The only problem I had with this hotel is during breakfast time the tables were not being wiped off and the food would run out and customers would have to ask for some to be made. "Don't go for the pool"
My husband and I had evening plans and specifically chose this hotel because it was new and should have a nice pool. The chlorine was so heavy in that room, our kids had to leave after 10 minutes because they couldn't stop coughing. That ruined the trip for them. Other kids had to do the same thing. Coughing so hard they had to leave. C'mon - a brand […] new hotel? What's up with all those chemicals? The same thing happened at a Holiday Inn Express in D.C. this last summer. "Convienient Location"
This is a very nice hotel for the money. The room was very clean and accomadating and the staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was very nice.

This is a new hotel (2009). Its located next to the best restaurant in Fairbanks, Carl's Jr (very sad, but true).

"Beautiful room, wierd location"
The room and hotel are lovely- a mountain lodge feel. However, it is in a Lowes and Old Navy parking lot. That was actually convenient for us, but a little odd. Overall, it was a great place to stay and the nice staff and very extensive continental (hmm... hot biscuits and gravy) made up for the strange location.

"Excellent Stay"
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Fairbanks is an excellent place to stay. Conveniently located. Clean rooms with a warm and friendlt staff. In my frequent travels in Alaska it is one of the best places I have stayed. In fact the beds are then most relaxing and comfortable beds I have slept on in any of my travels throughout the US and Canada.

Awesome room. New hotel. Everything is clean and nice. Great stay, not cheap but it was very comfy and relaxing. It is located near a mall, right off a highway. Easy to get to. No noise problems. We would stay there again. Breakfast was good.

"Good Hotel"
I would stay there again for sure! The only downfall was all the teenagers that came in that weekend jumping in the pool with pants on and splashing my small kids and me made that less enjoyable but overall it was great! Great location with lots of shopping close by and close to the highway! I would definantly stay there again!
