Everything was perfect. Good shuttle service to/from terminals. Big shopping and entertainment sentre nearby. Golf and outdoor pool. Very friendly staff.

"Hold dere lang unna"
Dette var min første retur etter 15 år til mitt tidligere faste hotell in Manila. Det var også mitt siste besøk der. Hotellet har forfalt og det synes ikke å ha vært investert noe i vedlikehold og renhold av rom. Samme gamle gulvteppet som var der i 1993.

"Not what it use to be! But great location."
I booked 2 nights in. Have stayed here a few times over the years as well as some members of my family. It's great for it's location, everything is with a short cab ride away if not a stones throw. The hotel staff are all accommodating and very nice. And a Casino in the hotel is a bonus. I didn't sleep much because I was adjusting to the +7hr time difference, […] so I decided to stroll through there. They did show the champions league re-runs in the bar so that was great for me. Breakfast buffet was good, it does seem that they have removed the continental selection. Room was pleasant and satisfactory and nothing special. Decor in the rooms really need updating and a little more effort will surely push the rating up if things changed. I'd recommend this place to anyone and would probably book another night or two before my return flight. My score 7/10 Les mer
"In the heart of Manila"
The hotel is close to a lot of heritage and cultural sites. It is very accessible to a lot of public transports that would help you navigate the surroundings.

...I Am Happy With My Choice...I See Bad Reviews, Maybe The Were Looking For...Super Luxury? I Found It VERY Nice Even To American Standards. The Casinos Were Good. IF You Want A "Super Luxury" Experience! AND, Of Course, A Super $$$$ Price Go Somewhere Else!
"I used to love this place"
It's had many lives as the Manila Hilton, The Manila pavilion, The Holiday Inn, and now it's back to being the Pavilion. One can see that it used to be gorgeous, but it's really, really showing its age. Twenty-two years ago the paint, carpets, woodwork, fitness center and plumbing were meticulously well-cared for. "The rooms were a disappointment"
Rooms were dirty and dingy. The first room they sent me in was inhabitable, didn't stay for a few minutes. They upgraded me to deluxe which is ok but not that good. This the old holiday inn @ Hilton before that rooms need upgrading asap , I had 3 room changes in 3days due to shower not working in 2 rooms @ other room water leaking from ceiling so carpet saturated my room was a junior suite but hotel staff were great ended up duty manager offered me free room upgrade on my next visit free of charge , would stay […] there again but next trip thinking of staying other hotel Les mer

The hotel is really dirty, and the rooms smell like mould. Pictures from the hotel on web dont match the reality. I dont know how they can keep the room prices sow high!

"Old and musty"
This hotel has had its days. The odor on the floors is stale and suffocating. The smell of cigarette smoke is everywhere. There is no such thing as a non-smoking rooms. Trust me, I was switched 3 times. The last room I simply went out and bought my own spray to cleanse the room. But for the large change fee required by the airlines for our return flight, […] I would have been gone. The front desk folks seem friendly but powerless to do anything to help meet my needs. Another thing, buffet breakfast while generally good, would like to suggest monitoring of server utensils and change when necessary. It was impossible in some cases to use servers without getting food on the hands. Drinking glasses were seldom replaced except you asked for one. Another thing that’s not explained, and no one can answer is that although our hotel room cost included breakfast, we were presented every day with a bill for the cost of that breakfast, that we were required to sign. When asked why? We were told it’s for ‘verification’ …of??? 'Just verification sir' I would rate this 2.5 stars, it has potential, but customer service needs improvement. Les mer

The carpet is really old and smelly. As i get of the elevator to the 24th floor I could not even breath. Really it is undiscrivable very dirty carpet with stain all over the floors. So dirty.

It's been a very disappointing stay, first they gave us a wrong bed then when they gave us new room, room stink badly with cigarette smell so they move us again, I took- the 3rd room out of frustration. "Needs remodeling but reasonable price"
Yes I have seen all the reviews about the rooms and bathrooms need updating. Actually, the new owners have started that process from the top (22nd floor) down). But when it is done, I am sure the price will go up and with flow restrictors in the shower the water pressure will go down. i was charged for my son to dined in for breakfast on our first day. I informed the front desk that my reservation was for 3 persons includes breakfast but they still had a doubt on me.I still have to pay. I consult the reception area on the next day and i was right. The food is ok, but the room is very bad, smell bad and very old. Service is not really good.
Manila Pavillion Hotel needs a big time renovation. I had to change room 3 times because it was dirty, old and had water leak. The bathroom ceiling seemed liked it was ready to fall.

"Not the nicest place I have stayed"
It was the worst place I have ever stayed in. We did not get the room or options we had asked for, the first room did not have the beds in it that we had asked for. The second room the shower did not work and the floor was no vacuumed, we asked to be moved again.the fourth room we got the paint in the bath room was falling off the ceiling and wall, […] the bathtub did not drain and the floor was discusting. I found this hotel to be very unrest full and dirty. On a b Right note the breakfast that they offered was absolutely beautiful, if not for that I would have given the hotel a rating of 0, and I will spell that so there is no mix up, ZERO. "poor management"
Upon check, was "upgraded" by staff. Was told it "was newly renovated and had a queen bed" (original room requested was "King bed") but thought - hey, they're telling me this room is better, I'll take it... When got to the room it was two single beds and the TOILET DID NOT WORK... No problem, I'll let them know and go have some lunch while they fix […] the issue, before I left I spoke directly & nicely to the reception staff... Two hours later returned and found that NO ONE had even entered the room! After speaking with the staff they told me "we did not have access to the room since you weren't here" I then asked them "how do you clean the rooms?" I got no answer... I then spoke directly to the Manager - no room change was offered at this time instead, he wanted to send a maint tech with me back to the room to work on the toilet - I told him I will be back in a couple hours!! I stayed out for about 5 hours shopping, dinner & a little night life. When I returned - the TOILET STILL BROKE!!! Now there was a NEW MANAGER on duty & he too wanted to send a maint tech with me to the room - after about 5 min of this guy banging on the toilet - I kicked everyone out of the room so i could get some sleep... It wasn't until the next morning with a NEW duty manager that I was offered a different room!!! I share this story as a warning for other hotels.com members -- DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Les mer

"Annoying breakfast checks!"
The rooms looked old and the carpets in the corridor stink! The toliet bowl looked a dirty brown as if they have never been scrubbed. We stayed there for 2 nights, and the complimentary breakfast was grossly inadequate! Worse, they now go around checking your particulars, annoyingly, while having breakfast! We were checked 3 times on one breakfast.

"Not the best hotel but good base area"
This hotel was a bit disappointing. The room I stayed in was ok, and the hotel is in a really good area for easy access to everywhere in Manila, but I thought that the hotel room was alot less quality then the rating that it holds. Bad Points: (1). The shower spray was very hard, even when only slightly turned on. (2). There was major stains on the […] carpet along the wall that looks as those thats its been there for years and looks like its bee waterloged numerous times (3) The lamp on the desk has a problem with the switch as it constistanly flickers and won't just stay on (4) There was exposed power / phone connections that could be a hazard especially to children. (5) When it rained, the lift foyer smelt of wet mouldy waterlogged carpet. (6) The aircom was always on and there was no way to turn it off, even when it wasraining and cold (7) The walls had marks, cracks and stains on it. (8) The windows hadn't been cleaned for a time that there was no good view from it and I couldn't get a clear photo of it Good Points: (1) Hotel foyer was very nice and current (2) The staff were very friendly and helpful. "Great service and best casino"
The service is excellent, the breakfast buffet is great (lots of choices, definitely high end) and the casino is the best in Manila. Rooms are not new but they are clean (this hotel used to be a Hilton) and wifi is included. The neighborhood is not that great but that's to be expected in Manila. "Manila Pavillion"
This was my 7th stay at this hotel. Most of the renovations were focused on the lobby and restaurants. Rooms are fair but clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurants and meeting/business facilities popular with locals.
Overall hotel is good justifies the 3 star grade. Room is quite clean, breakfast is very good, air condition works well. Worth the price. Location is excellent.

The rooms, bathroom, carpets and furniture need to be upgraded really bad. The quality of the rooms, carpet, bathrooms and furniture do not compare to the lobby or casino. They are old and dirty.

"Rooms in Bad Shape"
Dirtyy carpets and in general not in good condition. Way too expensive for what your get. But the breakfast buffet is great.
My overall stay was really pleasant. The housekeeping services are excellent and have a very nice presentation for their morning buffet. I sure would recommend it to my friends and will not hesitate to go back and stay at the hotel again in the future.
"Tardy Reception"
The hotel location was great, all the eateries, sights within walking distance. The front office took 30 mins to attend to us, despite having 6 ladies at the front desk. The rooms were comfortable, though old. The bathrooms need refitting, the showers and the appliances showed their age! I stay at the manila Pavilion Hotel whenever i am in Manila. the staff are wonderful, courtious and pleasant to talk to. It is the staff friendleness that brings me back to the manila Pavilion time and time again

Ok, I admit. The number one reason I book this hotel through hotels.com was that it seems to offer VERY reasonable price. Of course with this price range, I knew I can not expect a room anywhere near luxurious. Then again, even if I paid considerably lower price than other similar rated hotels, I would never hoped to be given a junk. The room assigned […] to me was simply the kind of room that should not be rented out to any paying customer. It seemed as if the room has not been used for quite some time. Anyway..I demanded hotel management for a room transfer, and they didn't ask me twice and granted my request which was quite nice of them. This hotel was close to the airport,and many great sights in manila. Short cab ride to Rizal park,Ocean park,Mall of Asia,Philippine cultural center,and Starcity amusement park to mention a few. The rates were good and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful.
