Veldig positivtoverrasket. Et gammelt hotell med sjel.Godt vedlikeholdt og god service med trivelige ansatte. Neste gang turen går til Greenock blir det å bo på samme hotellet.

Victoria må vera det beste B&B-hotellet eg har budd på nokonsinne. Store rom, veldig reint, meget sentralt, god skotsk frukost, bra service og svært låge overnatingsprisar gjer at eg vil anbefala hotelet til alle som skal til Glasgow. Eg kjem garantert til å bu der i framtida.

3 netter på Marks hotell med 2 små barn. Stort og flott rom, men manglende air-condition trekker ned ganske mye. Spesielt når støynivået utenfor nærmest gjør det umulig å sove med åpent vindu. Vi bodde i 1.etg, med rom mot en bakgate fylt med containere, og opplevde mye støy fra søppeltømming, samt å få røyk inn på rommet pga av at sidegaten tydeligvis ble brukt til røykepauser.. Veldig grei frokost med bla eggerøre(pulver), bacon, pølse, tomatbønner, tomat, sopp, toast etc, og flott beliggenhet for shopping i Glasgow. Men skulle jeg besøkt Glasgow igjen ville jeg nok sett meg om etter et hotell med air condition hvis en først skal bo så sentralt (for å unngå noe av støyen utenfra).

This is a very luxurious resort and the staff is simply oustanding! It has a taste of new engalnd, with the boat house and the grand scale of everything, but it is still lovely. The only objection is that there was no actual information folder in the room, giving breakfas times etc., thus we only learned quite how nice the place was and what our options were after a couple of days. Breakfast was served also in the boathouse,there until 11. that is not a bufet, but we liked it even better. We brought a 3 year old, and he loved the pool. There is also a kiddy- club where small children may stay an hour for 8 pound, I only wish someone had told us!

"Holiday Inn, Riverside - grei beliggenhet."
Greit beliggende 2 minutter opp til gågate. Nære til det meste, rolig strøk og hotell. Frokost var brød med ost! Rene, store rom. Noe trekk/støy fra trafikk, men helt ok. Meget hyggelig og service innstilt personale. Supert hotell for kortere opphold.

Hotellet var bra, betjeningen var veldig hyggelig. Det var rent og ordentlig. Det var et par puber i området rundt, der bråkte det en del, men ellers har jeg ikke problemer med å anbefale hotellet til andreC") Det eneste som var dumt var at det ikke var restaurant på hotellet. Man måtte gå andre steder for å spise, bortsett fra frokost, den var inkludert […] i prisen. Restauranten vegg i vegg med hotellet er ikke å anbefale. Dårlig service. Sentral beliggenhet ift. sentrum og butikker, ligger helt nede ved elva. Kanskje 10 min gange til Central Station. Hyggelig betjening, helt ok frokost, bra rengjøring. Ved resepsjonen er det et par internett PCer med myntinnkast, 1 GBP per 20 min, veldig praktisk for fritidsreisende. Godt fornøyd, kommer egentlig på noe som var nevneverdig negativt […] . Les mer

Hotel is clean and ideally situated for City Centre. No Hotel parking although there is a large car parking area nearby, with a concession for hotel guests. The room was pleasant and very clean. Traffic noise was quite apparent at night.

We enjoyed our stay here, overall. However, these beds were among the hardest we experienced during our holiday in Scotland. The beds were so hard in fact, that I ended up sleeping on the loveseat while my husband wrestled with the "boxspring" feeling matress. Hotel Service let down by shortage of cutlery/plates/seating space at breakfast on the first morning and lack of hot food on the second morning. The front door was graced by someones prawn meal from the night before lying on the pavemnt and not being cleaned up. Bad image on arrival. It was a cold evening and the hot air heaters in the rooms felt ineffective. This is a great little hotel if you want something near Glasgow town centre. The only draw backs are Car Parking and included breakfast. On Car Parking, there are two open car parks near by, but the nearest secure car park is about 4 mins walk away and past a fishmongers. Still at £2.50 over-night it is not bad. Breakfast is very basic...instead of […] scrambled eggs (which looked and tasted like commercial powered eggs) ...they could offer fired eggs. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel apart from a few little reasons. Firstly we were not best pleased when we were accosted by a security guy before we were even in the door later that night, to find out if we had a room key.We are all for security but he could have at least let us in the door and out the cold first. This hotel is ok, nothing more, possibly a little less. Staff was really very friendly and nice, but hotel awfully basic. Bathroom was a little dirty and toilet had a bad smell of urine (from arrival & throughout our stay)... Don't understand why. Couldn't they clean it properly using bleach? Hairdryer was ancient (poss 80s?) and didn't work. TV was […] tiny. Sofa had a big dirt-stain on cover (wonder when that was cleaned last?) + points for good quality sheets (well done... that really makes a difference!). Room was quite cold + difficult to control temperature with air-con. Kettle tiny & very poor selection of coffees and teas. No snacks or complementary cookies at all. No mini-bar or fridge. No wardrobe. Breakfast was plentiful but very basic. Would have likes fresh croissants, better quality jams and vegetarian alternative to meat sausages. A bit of smoked salmon would also have been a nice alternative to meat. Good location though, and... It was VERY cheap! ***** for the reception staff!!! Les mer

I was completely satisfied with all aspects of my stay at the Holiday Inn Express Riverside in Glasgow - it was ideally placed for Glasgow city centre but despite this it was quiet through the night - great night's sleep! However, I paid for bed and breakfast ... the breakfast is supposed to be a self service with hot and cold options however when we […] went down to breakfast (40 minutes before breakfast stops being served) there was no hot food left. We were told to wait ten minutes for beans to go with the cold scrambled egg... twenty minutes later the beans arrived but the scrambled egg was finished ... a huge queue built up waiting for the sausages we were promised but nothing arrived. We gave up after half an hour of waiting and went out for breakfast. The staff did not attempt to explain the problem with the hot food to a very busy and increasingly annoyed breakfast room, instead they continued topping up the muffins (which no one was eating) and generally ignoring the queue. Very poor management of customer expectations, let alone customer satisfaction!! Les mer

We stayed here (group of 3) for a weekend shopping trip to Glasgow. The hotel is easy to find but not central, although it is only a few mins from the St. Enoch Centre and Argyle Street. The hotel was comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast was good. I'd stay here again in a group as it was very reasonably priced.

Great location for shopping and SECC. Only down fall is we payed (cheap) for 4 people in the room but were not happy about the 'sofa bed'! If we were told we could have four people there should have been enough room, where as there wasn't! The sofa bed was little bigger than a double and was in awful condition. Nice hotel. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Only downside was the location. If you are flying out of Prestwick early in the morning you don't want to stay here as transportation to the airport can be costly. If you are flying out midday, it shouldn't be a problem.

Room had stale smell of cig smoke. Carpet was dirty with stains. Old TV with remote not working. Very noisy location with busy pub opposite. Noise pollution from main road - Double glazed windows not effective in keeping any noise out.

End of the city center stretch so little quite. Good spacious, comfortable rooms. Breakfast is decent but options are not enough to keep a person interested for 6 days. The front desk is helpful and very courteous. All major attractions are within walkable distance. So good choice for visitor with a short duration
