Extremely pleasent stay at this hotel, from hassle free quick check-in, excellent room standard with all ameneties you could want, even sky sports on the tv. Modern decor and the most comfortable of beds! Location is excellent, 2mins walk to arndale shopping centre, 2mins walk to printworks, 5mins walk to MEN Arena! Looking forward to stay again!

Stayed at the crown plaza on the 28th october 2011 .had a fabolous stay very nice hotel , and extremley helpfull staff especially the concesage he was very helpful in finding us alternative accomadation as they were fulled booked when we asked for a extra night stay will deffo stay again .

Wonderful hotel ~ so easy to walk to city centre and the NCP car parking was so convenient. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom with wonderfully fluffy towels. Friendly and efficient staff! My only gripe would be breakfast time/room which when full was a little over-crowded with people having the squeeze between your table and your neighbour's. Given the […] good range of breakfast, would have liked a pot of tea and not the communal pump action teapot which squirted out very weak tea. Generally though, a very nice hotel and we would return, regardless of the breakfast squash!! Les mer

My only complaint was having spent 4.5hrs on the motorway to arrive at the hotel at 3pm to be told room was not available for another hour. Totally unacceptable for how much the room cost.

Booked this hotel for proximity to MEN arena as we were going to a concert. Just a few minutes walk to MEN arena as well as the Arndale Mall, the big wheel and plenty restaurants nearby. Close to Shudehill interchange for buses & trams. Overall a very pleasant experience. The hotel is very modern, clean, with pleasant staff and the room was very comfortable. […] We booked a twin room (mother & daughter) and there was 2 double beds. Very nice modern bathroom & good toiletries. Separate bath & shower. All in all we were really happy with the hotel and would definately choose to stay here again. Les mer

Booked this hotel for an event at the MEN - ideal location as only a short walk away. The staff on arrival were very helpful - valet parking was great and convenient. The room was perfect and the beds were so comfortable. The only negative aspect was one member of staff behind the bar at night was rather abrupt about producing your room wallet, which […] caused some disappointment towards the end of the night. Myself and a group of friends recently spent the weekend in Manchester and stayed here at the Crowne Plaza.From check-in to check-out everything was fantastic from the staff to the rooms to the location!We all said that we'd definately stay here again if we had the chance!

Ideal location for visit to MEN Arena and shopping. Staff extremely helpful. Room was clean and modern. Would definately stay here again if I went back to Manchester.

Hate a hotel without a car park. However, the AMAZING room interior and location were the first two things that I could recall on this hotel after my England trip.

I was visiting Manchester for work last week, booked a night stay in the crown plaza, the room is nice and tidy . But my nightmare started after I had a shower, I set on the chair and within second I set down I got bitten by something three time on my foot. I was worried that there were bugs on the carpet. And it might got on my clothes and suitcase. […] I compliant to a manager the next morning, he said he will investigate the room and get back to me. I raised the concern about there might be bugs on my clothes as I have put some of them on the floor and asked if the hotel can offer dry clean service, he said it's too late for dry cleaning service after 9 am. Cut the long story short, it wasn't until I asked if the hotel will paid for the dry cleaning if I get them done at my next hotel, he wasn't going to do anything. He even said i can put my clothes in the wash it will be fine. If I am not living with a small baby I won't kick a fuss. In the end the hotel agree to paid for my dry cleaning but only for three items. Also the breakfast was poor, scramble eggs looks grey, instead of offering me a pot of tea, I got a mug with a tea bag in it. As a four stars hotel, I just think they can definetly do better. The Crowne Plaza is a very good standard 4 star hotel. This one was fairly new and the design of the rooms and the main public areas is very funky. Location overall was pretty good with the Sudhill Tram station just down from th hotel. Lots of cafes and resturants near by aswell as the Printworks facility and Arndale Shopping complex. I thought the […] hotel staff where very helpful and friendly and as we stayed 4 nights the house keeper was very good to leave us products and towels when we requested no room service due to a late night out. I would say book this hotel as it was excellent value for money and it felt like a bit of luxury even though the price was very reasonable. Was very happy with the location and standard of the room we booked, my only niggle is that there is no discount available for the neighbouring NCP car park ( i did ask at reception!) which works out quite expensive when leaving the car for 24 hours or more. Otherwise would highly recommend.

This hotel for excellent however we paid a high daily rate and for the money we paid I would expect nothing less.

Brilliant hotel!! Location great within a couple minutes walk of Birdcage & Printworks. Very much recommended and good valeu for money.

Stayed for 1 night for class re-union. Excellant situation, only a few mins from all locations. Rooms very good and request for quiet room resulted in no noise at all for the night. Breakfast quality, very good and plenty of it. Good range of food. Pices reasonable for city centre and time of year. Would recommend for short stay

Brilliantly located for the Northern Quarter and shopping, just minutes away from the triangle area where Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. Also Elysium Spa is just a few minutes stroll away if you are after any spa treatments. Breakfast was very nice, and overall we had a really nice stay.

This hotel was a great find and perfect for a romantic weekend away in Manchester. My boyfriend and I arrived on Friday afternoon and were checked in promptly and directed to our room on the first floor. The room was lovely clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The air conditioning had been put on so the room was nice and cool when we got there […] which was most welcome on what was a very warm day. Pretty much all the reviews I read said that the beds at the Crown Plaza were wonderfully comfortable and I can assure you that they were telling the truth. We both slept really well and were glad to find that despite only being on the 1st floor and at the front of the hotel facing a busy road we were not bothered by road noise at all. Location wise it is a bit of a walk from Piccadilly station (15-20 minutes) but nothing to major and a taxi was only £4 - £5. The hotel is perfectly located for the Arndale shopping centre and the shops on Market Street. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but did have a drink in the bar on Saturday night. I know that some reviews said that the bar lacked atmosphere but we found it was quite nice with a fair few people in there having a nightcap. Drinks were a bit pricey but nothing too shocking. If you are looking for somewhere to eat in Manchester city centre I would recommend Try Thai in China Town we had a gorgeous meal there and it didn't break the bank either. We had breakfast in our room on the Sunday which was really nice although the scrambled eggs were rather cold. Such a shame as they were wonderfully made and everything else on the plate was nice and hot. If only the eggs were hot I would have said that it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had. The staff were very helpful in allowing us to have a slightly later check out on the Sunday which was great as we weren't leaving until 6 p.m. they also allowed us to store our bags at the hotel once we had checked out. Very nice hotel and very conveniently located to the MEN arena and Victoria station. Competitevely priced. I think the hotel's website ought to make more of the proximity of the multi story carpark opposite the hotel; given the hotel does not have its own car park.

Fantastic value for money, room was enormous, everything clean, staff very helpful, breakfast excellent. Would definitely recommend it.

Excellent choice for those wanting a reasonably priced hotel close to shopping, theatres etc. We also received a complimentary room upgrade which was a lovely surprise. Staff are really helpful, facilities and food were great. Definitely recommend a visit.

Chose this hotel as I wanted to take a look around Manchester. The hotel is so conveniently placed and the staff are very friendly. Great value for money too!

Breakfast dissapointing. Sausages were cooked over a week I wolud Think and Then reheated. staff on Breakfast very unfriendly. why not serve tea/coffee at Table.

Exceptional hotel, very modern and clean. Rooms are spotless however some maintenance care needed, toilet paper handle in the bathroom was coming off the wall. Other than this it's a perfect hotel. Staff very agreeable.

Conveniently located and very friendly staff. Stayed at hotel for just a night, but if you need to be in Manchester, hotel is fine. Liked the room, however my view from the window was nothing to get excited about.

Everything about the hotel was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. I would, however, ask for a room away from the bar or CLub Lounge as our room was near this and was quite noisy at times. Otherwise, an excellent hotel.

A word of advice when booking through Hotel.com. Booked and paid for a standard room which were available at the hotel on the morning of our stay. We were given a standard 'accessible' room as we were told that these were the only rooms available as the hotel was full and we hadn't been clear with our request for a standard room. Quite how a room can […] be 'accessible' on the second floor if there was a fire is questionable but I suppose the accessible refers to the modifications made in the bathroom and at the side of the bed. Disappointing when this was an impromptu romantic night away from the kids! Les mer

Very nice room with some useful features. We were in a premier room which had robes provided . Shaving / make up mirror invaluable. Good design and layout. Bed was extremely comfortable . Sound insulation very good as well

Although there were cheaper hotels in the City Centre, the Crowne Plaza (Manchester City) was well worth the extra, with the hotel from the reception to the rooms kept in immaculate condition. The room we were in was on the 7th floor and looked as though we were the first people to stay in it since it had been newly redecorated, along with a great […] view of the city due to the full lenth windows. As outlined on the website the room came with a mounted LCD TV (Sky Sports included), a good iron & ironing board, hairdryer and the bed was so comfy I would have taken it home if I could have! Being so close to the city centre was great as lots of the city's main attractions were well within walking distance which was especially enjoyable due to the good weather. We didn’t use any form of transport in the 2 nights / 3 days we were there and managed to visit Arndale Shopping Centre, Canal Street, Albert Square, The Printworks and many other places I’ve since forgotten. The only very slight negative I had was that the hotel doesn’t have its own car park however there is a drop off lay-by at the front entrance where we were able to park and check in, with the hotel staff having our cases in our room by the time we were back from the NCP car park which was less than a 5 minute walk, charging £15 per 24 hours. Should I ever visit Manchester again I will definitely be checking into the Crowne Plaza again and would be happy to recommend this to anyone. Les mer
