Dette var en oplevelse af de helt spesielle.Indehaver er en storsamler og har formået at indrette dette B&B som noget helt spesielt -unikt. Kan varmt anbefales hvis man ønsker lidt andre input på en ellers begivenhedsrig ferie.

Det var stor forsell på rommene vi fikk. Det ene var ok på alle måter, mens det andre hadde en inngangsdør som så vidt lot seg åpne og lukke. Og i gangen var det litt dårlig lukt, samt at det ikke var særlig varmt på badet. Rommene er utstyrt med lokalt aircondisionagregat, og dtte medfører endel støy. Videre virker restaurant og bar "litt kalde" og ikke så alt for trivelige. Et pluss for gode senger og masse puter for dem som liker dette.

Hotellet har en fin beliggenhet nede ved sjøkanten og i direkte forbindelse med et fint gangsystem langs bryggene, og samtidig nært til Norfolks trivelige bysentrum. Betjeningen er hyggelig og hjelpsom.

"Yorktown, VA =Staybridge Suites"
this was a first for the grandchilden staying in a hotel. They loved all of it, especially the pool. The breakfast was great and the grandson who eats very little ate more than I have ever seen him eat. He was planning the night before what he was going to eat. The Staybridge Suites made the entire family feel welcome and the children felt special. […] The upgrade made a hit with the children as each child could watch whatever he/she wanted. I highly recommend Staybridge Suites. We were there for the home schoolers education of Yorktown after visiting Jamestown the previous day. Please recommend this hotel for home school parents when visitng Yorktown/Jamestown. Rating it from 1 (the least) to 10 (the best), it is a 100 and that is not a miss type. Thanks to your scheduling personnel for making our trip so fantastic. Les mer
"Staybridge Suites Yorktown- Great Value!"
This was our first stay at this hotel- but it will not be the last! Incredible rates, new(er) hotel, great decor, and the friendliest hotel staff I have EVER encountered. The complimentary breakfast is so much more than the standard continental breakfast we have had at other hotels. Finding a place to sit can be a little tricky (especially earlier in […] the morning), but guests were very courteous to each other and the staff kept things flowing. The staff was incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile. This is the main reason we will be returning in the near future and will recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this location! Les mer
"Decent but noisy"
We staid one night at the Staybridge Suites Yorktown. The accommodations were reasonably nice, but fell short in two areas. First, we were put into a handicap room without any notice. The bathroom door was a sliding affair with no handles and no seal to the frame. Second there was a large party staying at the hotel. "Staybridge in Yorktown definitely not a 4 star."
Some of the staff was friendly while others could not be bothered to come to the service counter. At breakfast they would stop bringing out food at 9:00 even though breakfast went until 9:30. On our first day there, it was really busy. There was no seating for people who wanted to eat breakfast. There was no coffee at 9:00, no waffle batter, no etc...and […] when the staff was asked, they replied that they would not restock because they wanted to close. This was with a line of guests standing there trying to get the food they paid for. When you did get food, you had to put it on cheap chinet paper plates that needed to be stacked 4-5 together so they didn't collapse. Room service arrived before 9:00 am to clean my room and when weren't out yet we simply did not get service. The one good thing I can say about the hotel is that the room was clean when we arrived and the bed was comfortable. Over all I was disappointed. Les mer
"Great Hotel"
The hotel was really nice and clean with the exception of the outside grills and tables. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable of the surrounding community including restaurants. Only other suggestion that I would say is that they should have discount coupons for Busch Gardens since it is about twenty-five miles from the hotel. "Staybridge Suites at Yorktown"
The hotel appeared to be brand new. The grounds and lobby were very well-maintained. Our room was very nice -- I believe all of the rooms are set up like little apartments, appealing to people traveling on business. The kitchen was stocked with everything you'd need to make a meal, including some food the maid must have forgotten to discard in the refrigerator. […] The room had a weird smell when we first entered, but after running some water and turning on the garbage disposal, the odor went away. The bed was on the small side but very comfy. And BONUS there was a DVD player in the room! The location was convenient right off the highway, so not too scenic, but it was close to Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg (each about a 13 minute drive), Jamestown and Yorktown (even less than that). We actually drove to VA Beach because that too was so close (about an hour). The indoor pool was small and there were about 3 chairs, so we set up camp on the chairs provided on the outside patio. This set up was unusual (there were two small patios next to a large covered patio with grills) and there were only two lounge chairs available. A BIG BONUS is the complimentary breakfast that is served everyday. They even had a waffle maker! All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient to the nearby attractions and the room was clean and comfortable. Les mer

"A good choice"
Friendly staff, clean facilities, nice pool for the kids to splash around in, and easy access to highway and numerous dining options. Easy ride to Busch Gardens and Williamsburg. The included dinners are not great, but they suited my kids just fine as did the breakfast offerings. My only complaint was that the eating area for breakfast is too small […] and, since the hotel was fully booked, many people couldn't find a place to sit. There was also one night when I had trouble falling asleep b/c of loud children in the hall who were also slamming doors, but I blame the parents for that rather than the hotel. "Staybridge Suites Yorktown"
Suite was very, very nice. It is in a golf community. Bed was comfortable, nice kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, etc.) Only down side was there was no hot water in the morning. We called it in and after an hour of wait ing - nothing. So we took cold showers and checked out two hours later - still no hot water! Front office staff were […] very friendly and nice. Hotel was not bad however I did not know that they do not have housekeeping services on the weekend and just light housekeeping during the week :-( Also did not realize it was a pet friendly hotel. I guess I should have done more research before staying there.
"a good place to stay."
We wanted somewhere to sleep. We were spending the day at Busch Gardens and planned to be too late to drive home. We didn't want to spend a fortune to stay somewhere for less than 10 hours. This motel was easy to get to and very comfortable. We were surprised to find a small kitchenette, but it actually came in handy for us. "Absolutely Perfect!"
I will start off by saying I am an autistic adult with extreme sensory sensitivity issues. To put it simply, I can not deal with noise. It doesn't just bother me. It scares and freaks me out. Bad. I once had to leave a hotel in the middle of the night because of noisy neighbors so I get very scared and anxiety attacks when I have to check in to a hotel My […] fiance and I chose this hotel for our trip to Williamsburg based on it's good rating and low price on numerous travel sites. When I checked in, the front desk girl (who should be given a raise!) was so understanding and accommodating of my special needs. She went so far as to tell me what kind of guests were in the rooms around me (ie. this is a single business woman, this is a single man home from Iraq). She did this because I was so nervous about being put next to a group of partying college kids or a family with several screaming infants. This simple gesture put my entire mind at ease and I really hope the hotel gives her a promotion. She also showed me the layout of the room on her computer. Over the stay the front desk was constantly there and willing to print directions, suggest things to do etc. The room was large and clean and comfortable. My only gripe with the room was that there was no fan in the bathroom which made taking a shower a bit steamy. Other than that, everything was very clean. The bed was very soft and comfortable. I sleep like a rock for 3 straight nights which is almost unheard of for me when I am not at home. The room had a nice tv and a full kitchen. We were able to save a lot of money by reheating our lunch leftovers as dinners. We also enjoyed the coffee. We did not get there in time for the Sundowner but it looked like they did free appetizers for guests on Tues-Thurs nights up til 7 PM. We did not arrive until 8 PM on Thursday. We liked this hotel--not flashy--but everyone was competent,pleasant--and the room was excellent--clean spacious and well laid out. This hotel appears built to service long term stays--but worked very well for us. My stay at the Staybridge Suite was very pleasant and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again when in the town.
"A gamble that paid off"
I had never heard of Staybridge Suites when I made the reservation, but the hotel we usually stay in was full so I took a chance. The hotel was lovely, our room was comfortable, and we had no complaints.
