The Owners were nice, the hotel was clean and the shower was hot for the money we paid it did what I expected.... Apart from the size of the Room! Tiny doesn't cover it and you can forget about room to swing a cat. I kid you not my Girlfriend actually had to go for a walk at 4:30 am because she felt Closdrafopic. In common with most small family hotels that are converted houses, the accommodations where somewhat compact, the shower cubicle in particular, but everything I needed was provded and worked well. The breakfast was fantastic and much better than I expected from this price range. However the most impressive aspect of my stay was the people who run the […] hotel. Steve, Karen and their family were absolute stars, who could not have made me more welcome. The next time I visit Blackpool the Marsden will be my top choice for friendly service and value for money. Everything was more or less perfect. If i had one criticism it would be that the double bed in our room was very hard and since i suffer with sciatica it made for an uncomfortable night. The child's bed was lovely though.

Hotel is in a great location, near to the sea front and pleasure beach. Owners very friendly and accommodating, breakfast excellent with a very good choice and very plentiful. Room contained everything we required eg tea, coffee, en-suite, TV but was small and needed some maintenance and a deep clean eg round the skirting boards and en-suite. Was in a great location. Hotel was lovely great hosts, made to feel very welcome and they were very helpful even with the parking! Rooms were lovely bathrooms could probably do with modernising but still fully functional will definitely use this hotel on our next visit.

Great night out in Blackpool. Marsden Hotel was a perfect spot, great service, excellant breakfast and lovely owners. Just one thing perhaps the bed could do with a new mattress as I had a few springs indented into my tummy in the morning :-) but still it was a warm comfortable room. Thanks

I really enjoyed my stay the owners were very accommodating but very unobtrusive. We came and went when we pleased . Will be recommending to family and would definitely stay again . Thankyou wonderful break

Room was a little cramped, however this did not affect our stay too much, the location was very good and the owners were very friendly and helpful. the best part of our stay was the breakfast, which kept us going most of the day.

We stayed here for 1 night over the Jubilee weekend. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and for what we paid it was good value. Free parking was included and the owner skilfully reversed our car down the side of the B&B into the back yard area, which is then locked so it is very secure. There is a bar/lounge area with TV which we had a drink […] in before going out. The free breakfast was good and set us up for the day. Friendly welcome and service during entire stay. Sink in bathroom had a fair amount of soap residue on it and could have been doing with a good scrub. Water pressure of shower was very low. Bed sheets were spotless but matress was of poor quality and you could feel every spring, resulting in poor sleep. My comapnions however, had no complaints on that […] score although my friend actually found a small metal tack in her bed at the bottom of the sheets. Breakfast was nice. Cheap and cheerful! Stayed for 2 nights as a solo traveller. Cleanliness, service and breakfasts all very good. Only let down was my room. To my surprise I was given a family room with a double and a single bed. However the room was quite small and very sparsely furnished ( 1 single wardrobe and 2 small draws) although it was clean and nicely decorated. Overall good value […] for money but if you like plenty of space in your bedroom you might wish to look before you book. Les mer

been going to blackpool for years and still looking for a decent place to stay. the marsden hotel is agood location and the owners are helpful, however the room we stayed in was not very clean (dropped my pen and it pinged under the bed, i was not prepared for the hair balls that were under there...yuk. the bathroom was old, in need of renovation and […] also not very clean, in this case it wasn't even unseen dirt but shelves and shower that was in need of a good scrub and one of my pet hates is carpet in bathrooms, need i say more. i would like to point out i am a bit of a clean freak and possibly have ocpd! i was a bit wary after booking this hotel as it was classed as a 2 star rating. i need not have worried as i've stayed in worse 4 star properties in greece and turkey!! the owner of the hotel was really friendly - ensuring our car was parked ok, showing us our room and telling us any information we needed to know. we had drinks in the hotel bar which […] were very reasonably priced. the hotel is set on a side street off the front promenade so noise levels are kept to a minimum and we both had a good nights sleep. the following morning we got up for breakfast - my partner who has a very good appetite decided to have 2 boxes of cereal to begin with (which he enjoyed) but was then faced with a lovely full english breakfast which he struggled to eat. with this was taost and condiments, tea coffee and fruit juice - it was lovely. if you want a good hotel at a reasonable price the marsden hotel is the place to stay. very cheap rates and you certainly get what you pay for. also very convenient for pleasyre beach, tourist attractions, pubs and shops. i have already recommneded this hotel to my parents who have styed there this weekend Les mer

Arrived at hotel, my wife and i were greeted by a very pleasent owner, we were taken to our room it was excelent it had everything for our stay it was very clean and fresh, The location was ideal for all attractions (check google earth) and a 2 min walk to the trams, The breakfast was to die for, A choice of cereal to start then a full cooked breakfast […] cooked to perfection, All in all this B&B is well worth visiting and i would reccommend it to anyone Les mer
