Vi bodde 5 dager på dette hotellet. Rommet har atkomst fra svalgang og er av vanlig amerikansk standard. Hotellet er beliggende i annen rekke fra stranden, litt langt mot nord, men med hyggelige omgivelser. Bassenget er lite for voksne, men ok for mindre barn. Rommet inneholder mikrobølgeovn og kjøleskap, men det er dårlige muligheter for å spise på rommet.

We were pleased with the size and comfort of the rooms--a lovely suite. The only exception is the hotel's policy to clean the rooms and make the bed once a week, something we were not told by Hotels.com or when we checked into the hotel.. "Great!"
This was a great place for the price. The only reason I rated this a 4 was the room smelled terribly like someone smoked 8 packs a day in the non-smoking room for about a year straight. And the covers were old and itchy and there weren't enough pillows. So these are things to consider bringing: febreze, a comfortable comforter and a couple extra pillows. […] The suite was perfect, had everything we needed and sweet little gifts of popcorn and such in the kitchen area and the closets had baskets, free movie rentals, etc. I would stay here again if needed, just as long as I bring those three things. The staff at this hotel was great. We traveled during Hurricane Irene and they not only made several changes to accommodate our constantly changing needs, but also offered advice to help our family stay safe.

This hotel is in a convienent place - 1/2 mile from wal-mart and multiple restaurants and a mile from a mall. The room was clean and the bathroom looked brand new. The room was quiet and we didn't notice any noice coming from the hallway. "An okay deal"
Convenient location... less than 20 minute drive from Virginia beach. New building and great rooms. Overall.. not a bad hotel... but beware of one of the supervisors at the reception area... she's not a pleasant person to deal with. She thinks that she's doing you a favor by allowing you to stay at the hotel. All other staff were courteous, kind, pleasant, […] and helpful. We were extremely surprised to know after we reached the hotel that the room will only be cleaned once a week... but it was not a deal breaker. The truck repair shop near the hotel is also loud at times. If you like to sleep in after 8AM... this is not the best hotel for you. Les mer
"Great hotel"
I loved this hotel. The rooms were nice, large, and relatively inexpensive. The location wasn't too far outside of downtown. The staff was very friendly and the amenities can't be beat (free wifi, free laundry machines, the Cupboard, etc.). I'd definitely stay in this hotel again.

"Candlewood Suites in Norfolk - Not too bad"
My biggest complaint is that I specifically asked for two beds when I made my reservation and upon arrival we only got one full size bed (not even a Queen). It was a holiday weekend so we were stuck there. There was a kitchen area with full size counter, sink, dishwasher, cupboards and refrigerator. Very few dishes/utensils though. The air conditioner […] had a thermostat, but it seemed inconsistent and cold most of the time. The bathroom was large and modern, with good water pressure. It was further from Rt. 64 than we expected (stayed there overnight on our way back from the Outer Banks). Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it's pretty nice, but we felt it was overpriced. "Hidden Gem Easily Accessible to all Hampton Roads"
This is my second time staying at this facility, and nothing has changed: the upkeep inside is excellent, with premium location close to I-264/64/Military Road. There are numerous eateries and a Wal-Mart SuperCenter within a third of a mile. The bed was soft but not too much, with a nice sized bathroom and desk with a comfortable reclining chair. There […] was a flat screen TV as well. I really can't say anything negative - the front desk staff were punctual, polite, and professional. The check-in and check-out process was streamlined and easy. The gym and laundry was in good shape, and the cupboard was a nice added touch, albeit slightly bare in spots. All in all, I'll be here again and again during my holidays to Virginia Beach, which is only 20 minutes east(all interstate) of this hotel - the rates combined with the amenities makes this about a 2.5 star hotel. "Excellent Hotel with Outstanding Service"
The staff were all very accommodating, including the van that picked up from the close-by Airport. Though there was no restaurant at the hotel, everyone made my emergency travel need a true success. Full kitchen including full sized fridge and 2 burner stove, microwave and dishwasher in room. Bathroom well renovated with granite shower walls and vanity. A/C-heating controlled by thermostat. There was only one nightstand/lamp which was a little strange though.

"Unexpected surprise at the Candlewood"
Upon reserving a room at this hotel, I expected nothing more than a room, a bed, working plumbing, and a tv. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the bed extremely comfortable, a very spacious, granite bathroom, dishes, a two burner stove, a dishwasher, a desk, a flat screen tv, and wonderful staff members. Although the fitness room was small, […] it was suitable for my needs and the laundry facility was FREE OF CHARGE but you had to purchase your own detergent. If you like the convenience of being at home while away from home, large spacious bathrooms, and comfortable beds for a very affordable price, the Candlewood would be great. Let me be clear, this was not a luxurious place but it is much more than your average room. Not to mention, there is a Walmart, several restaurants, and other convenient stores in your immediate vicinity. You really cannot go wrong with the location. Les mer

"Needs help"
Hotel is located next to a busy trucking company. It was quite noisy even late at night. Room could have been a lot cleaner. There was no shower curtain. I called down to the front desk when I realized this, but no one works here after 11 pm. Not exactly the best experience.

I find that Candlewood Suites offers an excellent stay for the price. It is better much than a lot of more expensive hotels. The hotel is always very clean. It offers the best in creature comforts and each room is very well organized for business travel.

The Candlewood Norfolk Suites is a fine hotel. Since I live in Hatteras, North Carolina, I sometimes have to drive to Norfolk and stay overnight to catch an early morning flight. I have been in several local hotels. This is by far, the best I have found that is close to the airport. The room was very well appointed and clean. "safe neighborhood friendly staff"
I felt safe in this location and the staff was extremely courteous. My stay was for 2 nights. There was a plumbing issue that I reported after my 1st night. It had not been resolved when i returned later that evening and no one was avaialble to correct. I had to be moved to only avaialble room left, which another party had left as they were not satisfied. The hotel was very nice. The hotel is practically brand new. It was 2 months old at the time of my stay. The room is very spacious and had a mini kitchen inside. My only complaint is that upon check-in, they put my card in the wrong spot for incidentals. The hotel charged me again for the hotel after I already paid through this site.
