Hotel Colón Rambla - Santa Cruz de Tenerife

We were a group of three who booked two rooms in December 2011. Our rooms were very big and airy. One room could easily have accommodated the three of us as there was a big separate bedroom to the living room. The living room had a sleeping couch. There was also a quite big kitchen. One of the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke, even if we had booked […] non-smoking, but this is our only negative comment - hence a slightly lower score on cleanliness. Internet worked well in our rooms, less so in the lobby. Location is great - a bit away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough that it'll only take you 5 minutes to be in the middle of it if you want that. Safe parking in the Garage too (extra fee but worth it). Please note that if you use a GPS and plot in the street number, it'll guide you to a house closer to the "plaza 25 de julio" because of old house numbering, but the hotel itself is just off the Rambla. Plot in Calle viera y clavijo 66 instead - that's the house just opposit the hotel, and you'll have a much easier travel. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if we heading towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife again. Les mer

The hotel was a little hard to find, but once you did, it was great. It is an easy walk into shopping and a 10 min taxi ride to the airport. The front desk people were very helpful with all our question.

This was overall a very nice place. The room was huge and the staff were very pleasant, and the surrounding neighbourhood is pretty. There were just two downsides: (1) a very loud, late party in the restaurant on the Saturday night (a really bad thing when you're a light sleeper with jetlag) and (2) the internet only worked right in the corner of the […] room. Super nice place! The receptionists could not have been any nicer, absolutely wonderful. The junior suite we had was very nice with a little balcony, large bathroom with a bath tub and a little kitchenette. A separate bedroom was nice when staying for a whole week, so we had the living room as our office room. We had to ask for the tea maker and cups, […] which should have been provided without having to ask, but they were provided immediately. A beautiful neighborhood and close enough to a tram stop. A szálloda előkelő villanegyed közepén van, járástávolságra minden látnivalótól és jó vendéglőtől. Kényelmes, elegáns hely.
