Ibis Sydney King Street Wharf - Sydney

I really really enjoyed my stay it was within walking distance to Darling Harbour. The room was neat and tidy, like a 5 star hotel room. Only negative was no fan in the bathroom. It was a lovely bathroom but we couldn't open the door til the steam had evaporated as it would activate the hotel room's fire alarm.

For your discounted price and knowing that Sydney is expensive, this hotel is still overpriced.

The only thing that was going for this hotel was it's proximity to the Darling Harbour. Service is non-existant though. When we arrived, there was no one available at the front desk for atleast 10 mins. Furthermore, there was no bell-hop to help us take our 2 big bags we had got from the US, to our room on the 5th floor. The room was extremely small […] with hardly any moving space. It felt as though we were staying in a small apartment in Tokyo. Since location was our priority for sight-seeing purposes, we spent as much time outside as opposed to being in our closet-sized room. Thoroughly dissapointed with the standard room during my last stay here, I decided to stay in the superior room for my last work visit. Budget issues and so on but was a whole lot better. Bigger better room, and a good stay. The hotel does not have any balcony which is a let down but if you intend to have a good stay, choose a superior room.

For an expensive hotel, the place is a rip-off. I was starting here for work. Tiny room, broken bath door which leaks during a shower and a hard bed is what I got. Not enough place for storage and an overall cramped experience. Hotel staff were good and helpful and maybe the other rooms were nice but mine was pathetic, surely at that cost. Great location, near the train and Darling Harbour area. Also 10 minute walk from Circular Quay, the Rocks and other touristy areas. Pretty good staff, ok lobby , but nothing special and not a lot of real estate...the room wasn't what I expected either, especially for the price. I stayed down the street at the 4 points Sheraton and got a better deal […] and twice the space in the room, free wifi in the lobby and world class / impressive concierge and staff. I wouldn't pay much more than $100 for the room, but the location was the only silver lining. Les mer

We stayed for 4 nights & found the hotel to be clean, staff were friendly and it was really close to the attractions. Within minutes walking we had ample restaurants, cruise boats, aquarium, imax theatre, convention & exhibition centre, hard rock cafe, the monorail, maritime museum and the harbourside mall for shopping. 5 minutes beyond all this we […] had Paddys market and the Sydney entertainment centre. The rooms are quite small but I had read that in prior reviews so was expecting it. Although our accommodation was already paid for they take a credit card details however I also read this in reviews. The restaurant was convenient for breakfast meals with a good choice of foods available. The restaurant does not open for evening meals however you are minutes from restaurants along the wharf. We would recommend this hotel to others if you can cope with small rooms and air con only. Les mer

My husband and i thought that the room was a bit too small but it was just for one night. The room was clean,the bathroom was clean. The bed was a bit too hard for my liking. The Ibis was nice and close to walk to our event for that evening. Security was excellent. I thought that breakfast was a bit too expensive for what we received. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Very close to Darling Harbour and Sydney Exhibition Centre. Only gripe is $25/day for internet.

I know the room was cheap and in a great location. However when I checked in there was 3 or 4 really sticky patches on the floor. and some one had picked their nose and wiped it on the bathroom door. So it was not nice at all, then this makes you wonder how clean everything else is and takes the comfort out of it.

We stayed here for a week. The hotel was located steps away from Darling harbour. Location wise, it's fantastic as you have the CBD area, rail & ferry links within 5 mins of walking distances. Service wise, they were faultless. The staff were courteous and paid good attention to our needs. Staff were great and room was the same.

Thought these rooms could only be found in Seoul or Tokyo. Overpriced for based on a per square metro.

it was a great spot, nice and quiet, close to the wharf walking to darling harbour. nice restrauants around the area.

Great location (5 minutes to wynyard station, 5 minutes from Sydney aquarium,), quite nice hotel with small sized rooms and roomservice must be improved: we stayed there 5 days, the floor was not cleaned once... Restaurants around are nice but quite expensive.

The room is a little small, but it has everything you need, and its clean. Close to the train station and Cockle Bay Wharf. Also there are lockers in the basement to store your luggage if you want to explore after checkout.

Stayed here for a conference. Rooms are small but had evrything I needed. Very clean and modern. Great location near some restaurants at King St Wharf. Good deal from hotels.com

Mycket fräscht och hade allt man behövde. Hotellet låg nära Darling Harbour, vilket var en fördel. Tyst och lugnt. Bra sängar. Frukost åt vi precis intill och där öppnade man tidigt. Det enda som var en nackdel var rumsstorleken, men det visste vi ju om innan. Hotellet är mycket prisvärt och vi rekommenderar det verkligen. Personalen mycket hjälpsa […] m. Les mer
