It was a little hard to get in and out of the city for me personally. The hotel staff was very helpful. I was there for an overnight stay for my son's 14th birthday. There was a railroad track on the back that I was worried about but never heard the train. I was however located on the first floor facing the main street. Everything was better than we expected. It was clean, and well kept. Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful as well.

The hotel was nice. The breakfast buffet was good but way too crowded on Sunday. The waffle maker has been broken for the past two years that I have been there. We reserved the suite which sleeps up to six. The room was nice but not large enough for six people, which we had. The pull out bed was broken and they had to put the mattress on the floor and […] sleep on it because the springs were broken on the bed and the mattress kept falling through. We also had to get towels every day because even though we had the room rented for six, they only put three sets of towels in each room. Staff at the front desk told us that 3 sets of towels per room was standard. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The hotel is located in a great area and close to Chicago without being downtown. Les mer

This, hotel was grate decient price only, a few min from down town I will stay here any time in chagio and highy recomed to others

Randal the shuttle driver is reason enough to stay at this hotel!!

This hotel was nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice the next morning with a large array of choices. I will stay here again.

Very, very nice hotel. The only flaw I noted was a small, bleached out spot on one of the hall carpets. Everything else was very nice. Good free breakfast too! I will stay here again!

Great professional and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Conveniently located close to shopping plaza. I will stay there again when visiting chicago. Oh and nice complimentary breakfast.

The hotel overall was very nice, and the location was great, but we had an issue with service. First, my kids wanted to swim in the indoor pool, but there were no towels, so I had to go to the front desk to get some. Next, we were short on towels in the room, so I called down to the front desk at about 9:00pm asking for towels. The receptionist said […] she would send them right up but we didn't ever get them that evening. The next morning I called the front desk AGAIN and told them we never received the towels from my call the night before. Again, she assured me they would send some right up but after about an hour, still no towels. We never did get the extra towels, so we had to wait for housekeeping to restock the bathroom with clean towels. Les mer

Very happy with our stay here. Last 3 nights of our holiday before heading home. No complaints.

We stayed here 3 nights - 2 adults and 2 teenage children. We enjoyed the pool, spa and the room was very clean and tidy. The staff were at all times helpful.

I used a 3rd party (Hotels.com) to book my reservation and while I was very happy with the price I received I was very disappointed to find out that 1) I was unable to change my reservation and 2) the hotel room I booked was NOT the hotel room I received when I arrived at the Holiday Inn Express - Chicago Airport West. I was told by the hotel desk clerk […] that they were "overbooked" which is why the room I reserved was not the room i received. Les mer

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, great breakfast for free every morning. The only bad thing i can say about it is that it is very close to the expressway however the expressway is bumper to bumper, stop and go traffic at any time of the day you travel on it. There is a Super Target right behind it and lots of restaraunts around […] the area too. Pool is small but nice and so is the hot tub. We would definatley stay there again. Les mer

Our stay was quite comfortable, except that I requested a softer pillow and they had none. Just need to remember to bring my own. The room was very large and quiet even though it faced a busy street. The bed was wonderful. Breakfast was very nice with a wide selection.

This hotel has a nice modern facility, but is poorly managed. They gave away our pre-paid Hotels.com room and then lied twice about crediting our account for the error when they had to give us a smaller room. The pool is far too small for a hotel of this size and the chlorine was so strong my family began coughing violently after 5 minutes of exposure. The […] breakfast was good. Les mer

Everything was great about our experience, especially the cleanliness and the amazing included hot breakfast. Only complaint was the pool wasn't open later than 10pm and the hotel was so busy the pool and breakfast room was packed, however that was a good sign the hotel was doing well. Would definitely stay there again.

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was in a great location and very easy to access from the highway. It only took us about 15 minutes to drive into downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was exceptional. Our rooms were very nice and clean. We will definitely stay here again.

We came here had a great stay! The room was clean! beds were very comfertable. There was shopping right behind if u forget anything. My only concern was we didn't have a fridge in our room and we could rent one but they were all rented for the time we were there so it was hard keeping my sons milk cold had to ice it but u make due.

New hotel nice indoor pool.

Clean, quiet, convenient, good rates, & tasty breakfast. I will be staying there again in the future.

We stayed here overnight on a Saturday. The bed was extremely comfortable!!! My girlfriend and I loved it. The bathtub was a little small but it was still ok. We could hear the traffic from mannheim rd. but it wasn't that big of a deal. we still enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast was not the best but I honestly can't complain. We had the basics. […] Pancakes, eggs bacon bagels cereal and juice!!! you can't go wrong with that. Overall i'd say this is a 3.5 star hotel. I'd definitely stay here again and I'd recommend over pricier hotels in the area. Les mer

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was outstanding: eggs, bacon, and lots of other food. Cinamon rolls were excellent. AND excellent coffee!

I chose this hotel because of it's location to the Interstate as well as it's closeness to Westlake Hospital. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. It was nice to have the Target shopping center nearby (which wasn't mentioned in any of the information I found on the internet). My only complaint was the traffic noise. I wished that we would have […] packed ear plugs. We were on the 5th floor and could hear the noise from Mannheim Road loud and clear. The pool was a nice added bonus. We stayed on a Sunday evening, and the hotel was practically empty. I would definitely stay here again with my ear plugs in hand. Les mer

I chose this hotel based on the other reviews I saw since I was not familiar with the area at all. I was trying to find something close to a relative's home yet outside the city. It was perfect. We chose this Holiday Inn Express because of its proximity to Loyola Hospital. My wife was undergoing treatment for a week in the hospital, and I stayed here during the hours away from the hospital to recover and work remotely. Overall the hotel is wonderful. The check-in went very smoothly. The man at the front desk was polite, and explained things […] very well. There is a small 'pantry' near the front desk that you can buy some small ice cream treats, soda, water, candy, or chips if you don't have change for the vending. The vending only takes cash and change. Some places have started taking debit/credit cards on vending machines, and with the prices that they are charging for soda now, you'd think more places would have card readers available. Nobody really travles with $5 in quarters for a soda and a bag of chips. Anyway.... The bathroom in the rooms are very nice. I was on the top floor, so expected the pressure in the shower to be lacking a bit. It wasn't knock-you-over type pressure, but it was fine enough. If there is any question about needing more pressure you could change the setting on the shower head and it makes a difference. Some had talked about being tall person friendly because of the height of the shower head. I would agree with that, and also the tub seems to be sunk in the floor just a touch, adding to the height. The bed was very comfortable. Soft, but not squishy. The sheets and pillowcases were soft enough, and very clean. My only gripe (barely) is that while the shower may be built for a tall person, the bed seemed short to me. I may have been using too many pillows, though, as I generally travel with one of mine. The overall cleanliness was very clean, but not spotless. There were some wierd spots on the floor in my room that never went away. It was probably from my sandwhich dripping while I worked, but it didn't go away the whole time. I'm ok living in my own mess, but I just hope that the next person didn't have to. Dec. 27, only eggs on the breakfast buffett, said they were making sausage but never brought any, and out of coffee at 9:15. I heard comments from others who weren't pleased . Dec. 27 Also no room service at all. We were gone from 9-9 and the room hadn't been touched and there was Nott a do not disturb on the door. We did call the desk and he brought […] us washcloths and towels. We were dissapointed as had stayed there before and liked it. We will give it another try soon as we expect a new grandchild and our son lives in Westchester. Les mer

This hotel and seems like the Holiday Inns across the nation have refurbished their facilities and customer service. I was very impressed with my stay, very clean great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed. I was a returned customer and I would definitely stay there again. Price was very reasonable close to downtown Chicago, and great complimentary […] breakfast. ALTHOUGH the only problem I had was that some of the outlets in the room didn't work, but no big deal and I forgot to mention it to front desk people. Les mer

In all fairness, this place was great--easy location, everything clean and well taken care off, a great and varied breakfast. So don't take these as the sum, because otherwise I'd whole-heartedly recommend staying there. It is right next to the road and some elevated tracks, which may be a disturbance if you're a light sleeper. Besides that, our room […] didn't have heavy curtains that closed, which meant we spent some time hanging up a blanket to block out the light. The management tried to argue with us that there was a curtain, when on the way out I wanted to point this issue out to them. Otherwise--more great for the money. Les mer

A great hotel for a quick stop in Chicago. We flew into Midway and it was fairly close to the airport. It was just off of the 290 expressway which made it very easy to get into downtown Chicago the next day. It was a very clean hotel with friendly staff. We had a pool, hot tub and free hot breakfast.
