Hadde 3 dager i Washington og kan definitivt anbefale Eldon Luxury Suites! Flotte rom, god service og rengjøring - gangavstand til alle severdigheter(hvis du er glad i å gå).Kort avstand til buss også.

This hotel was nice. Everyone was pleasant and very helpful. Not very knowledgable of the surroundings but they did try. Our room was nice and roomy. Great look. The showers are wonderful. BUT.... the mattress on the sleeper sofa was SO dirty that we were unable to use it. My son (19 years old) wouldn't even sleep on it. Trust me, he isn't nearly as […] concerned with cleanliness as I am! We had to go and buy an air mattress. BEWARE! If you enjoy any of the delicious snacks that are so thoughtfully left for you, YOU WILL BE CHARGED! And you will be charged a lot of money for those delightful little treats! AND they will replace them each day and you will be charged AGAIN! Overall, a nice place to stay but probably not worth the money that I spent to stay. Les mer

Great hotel in a marginal neighborhood. The hotel is on the edge of an unsafe area. However, the benefits outweigh the negatives, and we would stay there again.

I appreciated my room is like a home away from home. I actually plan to stay there again soon, but for an extended to get use out of the kitchen. My only complaint is the parking lot cost was expensive per night.

The Eldon Luxury Suites is located in an old building that has been completely renovated. The suites are extremely spacious and are appointed with top quality appliances, linens and the bathroom was luxurious. I f you don't get a room facing M Street though your room will be very dark ( the view is a brick wall!). It's a shame they charge for breakfast […] because it isn't any better than what one would find at a Motel 6. I'd suggest going out instead. All in all. I was pleased with the ELS. Our suite was amazing, with a full kitchen with amenities. My daughter loved the HDTV in the Living Room. Very clean suite & one of the most comfy beds I've ever encountered at a hotel. Each staff member I encountered was very friendly & helpful. A few blocks from the subway. Would definitely stay again.

The place was amazing from the moment you walk in until you leave. One of the most finely appointed places I've ever stayed. I even say the room was as nice as any Ritz I've stayed in The guy who checked us in was nice at first. There was a problem with booking through hotels.com and I'm assuming I wasn't double-charged. Also hotels.com said this […] was a king bed and the front desk person said they don't have any rooms with king beds. Although nice place, I wouldnt have stayed had I known it was queen. Big big big annoyance... Two rooms were having huge parties from 7pm until after 2am. I went down and asked about moving or if he could say something to those guests. We were on second floor and you could hear the loud music from the second floor all the way in the lobby because the stairwell doors were open. I went down again later because it was do loud and my kids couldn't fall asleep and I couldnt find the front desk guy. I think he was outside smoking again. Very disappointing Les mer

The price for this sweet was amazing. And when I walked into the room I was shocked of the size and ammenities in the room. Everything was great in my room. The only negative was that they are updating their Internet so there was no wifi service in the rooms. And the hotel is a bit away from the national Mall. the hotel was very nice the layout was DECENT even though it was NOTHING like the website said it was. the website images were HUGE compared to the room. The lack of TV in the bedroom made it incontinent. the bed was a full size not a king size bed.the maintenance man said he was going to come back to fix the panel by the bathroom cause it fell off […] that he had another room to go to. he wasted my entire day waiting there for him. was in room 102. he never came back. A great hotel wonderful service, very ecclectic. Great room very different layout. Only problem was a dirty rug under the coffee table. Very dirty and stained! With this said, I would stay there again.

Our recent visit to the hotel was wonderful and the caring staff had made our stay even more sweet.

4 of us shared a room to attend a concert at Verizon Center. We were able to walk to our show and all of the restaurants in ChinaTown. While there is construction on the block of the hotel, it is like a little oasis. When you approach the front door you can tell that this is a very well kept property. The kitchen in the room was huge and the bed was […] actually in a separate room from the fold out couch. There was a ridiculous amount of closet space we didn't need, but if someone were staying for awhile it would be great. The parking was a lil pricey, but the car was safe in the adjacent flat lot. One of the restaurants in the neighborhood was really hip and convenient. Overall a great experience. Oh-- and loved the shower with all the body sprays! Les mer

Me & my best friend stayed here & was blown away as soon as we stepped into our room. Full kitchen with stainless steel appliances even a dishwasher which made it feel like home. The bed was super comfy, our nap felt so good we didnt want to get out of it to go to the club Lux, which is in walking distance (No DUI). There are 9 floors with 6 rooms on […] our floor & we stayed on the 8th. This made it very quiet & not busy at all. The convention center is just a block away & within walking distance to nice restaurants like Legal Seafood (delicious!!!). The cute front desk clerk was really nice & courteous. Les mer

The hotel was very nice and clean, parkign was not that great, you had to pay $0 a day even if you parked yourself. Service was very good for the most part. Very convenient. Walking home one day from the convention center we noticed a bum crawling into a stariway. Tehre were a few abandoned buildings that the homeless had taken over right next door. […] Kind of creepy looking at night. Les mer

I recently stayed at the Eldon Luxury Suites, and I liked everything about the place except the internet connections, which is a BIG exception for business travelers! The advertising says there is wireless internet in all the rooms, but when you get there they tell you it's only available through the ethernet. However, even that doesn't work, so you […] have to go to the lobby whenever you want to get online. Even in the lobby, the connection on the wireless is sporadic -- it kept kicking me off right in the middle of important emails. The staff kept apologizing and saying they would look into it, but nothing ever changed the whole week I was there. A major drawback in an otherwise nice hotel. Les mer

Originally pretty pleased with hotel. But, there was misunderstanding about check-out date. We did not know it until, upon returning in evening from all day sight-seeing our card key didn't work. Card reactivated and upon going in room we discover all our belongings gone and replaced with new guests'. Front desk states, blandly, 'you were supposed to […] leave this morning'. Obviously I wouldn't leave clothes, jewelry, rx, laptops, etc... in a room. Hotel didn't call me or email all day (with IPhone I'd have been notified instantly). Desk clerk didn't want to let my husband in room ro reclaim our valuables from safe. Their allegiance was now with new guests. It took a while for husband to get in safe, accompanied by staff. I had to wait another 10 min. to speak with Manager. He, too, was blase' in informing us we'd been bumped from room. I said I thought we had extra, free night based on info I saw on Hotels.com. Rather than trying to assuage us he spent 10 min. on hotels.com trying to see if I was right or, I guess, a big, fat liar. Best they would do to help us was to tell us of another hotel we could to to, and pay for. They didn't care about our being upset. They didn't deduct from bill, offer future discount or lessen $30/day parking fee. They were perfectly content with us walking out door knowing I was REALLY rattled, confused and upset. Error in reservation did appear to be on my part, in the end, but it was apparent they didn't want to project us all being on same team, that they were trying to help us have great vacation and want to return. Our belongings were stuck, all day, in an anteroom adjacent to lobby. All the discussion played out in the lobby. The whole thing was humiliating and I would NOT stay there again due to their complete disinterest in us being contented customers. Desk clerk mentioned that I was 'upset' - they knew I was and left that way and didn't care. We ended up driving home that night - a 5.5 hr journey. Les mer

New property - amazing rooms - great value - highly reccomend

Very nice suite, VERY comfortable bed with real pillows for a change (instead of those tiny hotel things), and a well equipped kitchen. Living area furniture was adequate, although not terribly comfortable. GREAT shower too. Staff was very attentive. Extremely reasonable for DC! Convenient to the Metro too.

A new facility with top end luxury amentiies and very attentive staff. A terrific value located one block from the Mt. Vernon Square Metro station and a few blocks walk from the hot downtown area with great restaurants and museums. Odd that the the complimentary internet in rooms is only available by cable. Wireless is in the lobby. CVS a few steps […] away is well supplied for snacks and makings for meals if you'd like to use the well equipped kitchen. Les mer

We stayed at the Eldon Luxury Suites for two nights and were very impressed with their level of service, cleanliness and comfort. When we visit the area next year, we will definitely look to stay at the Eldon!

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel very close to the convention center. There is an abandoned building (it has been abandoned for at least two years) next door and construction across the street, but the property is great.

If you're going to a convention...and the Renaissance is booked-up, there's not a more convenient place to stay. A fantastic bargain as well. If you're looking for a place with restaurants and lounges...this isn't it. But, if you're the type that prefers taking leftovers and picking up things for the fridge / kitchen...this place is perfect! No com […] plaints! Les mer

I really enjoyed my stay--every room is a suite, with a kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom and plenty of closets--I wished I was staying longer

This really is a wonderful little hotel. the rooms were great. the staff alway willing to help. Only drawback is the location. It's close enough to Downtown but it there is literally nothing else on the block. Once the rest of the area is built up it should be great.

This is a really nice hotel for the price. The rooms are well kept and very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and accomodating. It is a few blocks from the metro station of Mt. Vernon/Conv. Center which is on the direct line from the Reagan/DCA airport metro. The neighborhood is the only downside. The street that the hotel is one has boarded […] building and is generally unkept with a few homeless hanging about but is safe with volume of pedestrian and vehice traffic. There is a lot of construction which suggest some revitalization which may improve the conditions. Les mer

The staff were extremely professional and very responsive to our every need. The hotel was very clean. Everything was great. We had a wonderful time. Just one problem. The sofa bed was the worst I had ever seen. We had to take the comforter from the bedroom to cover it and then it was barely able to be slept on. Although not right in the centre, its only a few mins from a metro stop and about 20min walk to all the sights in DC. The staff are friendly and the rooms are more like apartments with fully fitted kitchens and incredibly clean rooms. I would recommend this to anyone visiting DC especially for more then a couple of days as you can really settle into […] your 'apartment'... Les mer

I truly enjoyed my stay. Worth the money. Only thing is I would have liked a bigger bed. However, it was a great stay.

Hotel is conveniently located near the Metro station and easy access by taxi to nearby Washington DC venues. Room very comfortable and equipped.

1/2 block from the center of the convention center. Outstanding location for connection to the Metro at the Convention Center. Down side - Most of the buildings around the area are boarded up. Lots of construction noise. The floors are marble so they are cold and noisy. The $9.95 breakfast buffet is best avoided. It consisted of a very slow toaster, […] frozen cream cheese and butter, and most items hotels give away for breakfast (cereal, etc.) They did provide a paper-wrapped breakfast sandwich (no selection). Getting a cab is challenging, however the hotel does have a car and driver (at a rate higher than cab service). The room is truly one bedroom apartment. Quite spacious. There is a kitchen - good because there are no restaurants within reasonable walking distance. Not that you would want to walk to one after dark. There is free wired internet, but the internet connection is at the kitchen bar and the work station is in the hallway. A long Cat 5 wire is provided. There is no TV set in the bedroom. Lots of pluses and minuses to this hotel. I stay there because of the convenience of location. Les mer

...but unfortunately for the next couple of months opposite of a huge construction site, which only matters, if you end up on the side facing it like we did - almost none of the almost new windows could be fully closed!

Very spacious boutique hotel rooms which is more like an apartment. Great for families. Location is perfect as it's only a 10 minute walk to Chinatwon and nearby restaurants and 3 minutes to nearest subway. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is steps away from the Washington Convention Center, which made it so convenient for the conference that I attended. The room was clean and stylish, with the only drawback being there was only one TV in the front room (not in the bedroom). The staff was extremely helpful and nice. I did not hear any of the construction noise that other reviews […] have mentioned, despite seeing the large and busy construction site across the street. Overall, I was extremely pleased and hope to get to stay here again! Les mer

Overpriced for what was delivered. Convenient for the convention centre. Self description of Luxury is frankly misleading. Hotel felt half unfinished and lacked the finishing touches needed for this description. Staff helpful but no one to boss the place. Would not recommend.

Couldn't have been more conveniently located to CC First night(Saturday)was extremely noisy with partying but management handled situation but could have been more timely. Delightful accommodations.

My father and I used this hotel for our first time DC vacation. We are not use to "luxury" hotels by any means, so we are def not picky people. Ill go with the few negative aspects of the hotel first, bc there arent many. FIRST, the breakfast. Wow! Umm.. so it consisted of the regular continental breakfasts at any regular hotel... Bagels/pastries/juice/cereal.. […] etc. Nothing hot. AND they wanted us to pay for it! Wow. This is luxury... ?? Ok. No biggie. There was a great place half a mile away called Lincolns Waffle House. Great prices. SECOND, I read the reviews about the hidabed being horrible, so i packed my airmattress. Thank goodness i did. The hidabed was a very thin spring mattress.. with bars that you can feel. It was terrible. So make sure to pack an airmattress if you plan on using the hidabed. THIRD, Okay, so there is only 1 tv. In the living room. I read about this as well and I had my laptop for the bedroom. So no biggie. However, they used velcro to hook the directv box to the back of the tv. So in order to use to remote, you have to get up and turn the channel bc the remote can not send a signal to the box with it being on the back of the tv. We took it off, used a bar stool, a pillow, and a folder to prop it up so we could change the channel. FOURTH, there is no wireless internet. If you have a laptop or something that takes ethernet cord, they do provide a 20 ft eternet cord (no joke, it went from the kitchen to the bedroom with no problems lol). Lastly, and very minor might i add, FIFTH, they provide extremely expensive snacks. I wondered if anyone ever bought any of it, and all the snacks were expired. LOL. Not that i would have bought any of it, but i wondered if anyone ever did. Apparently not... bc it was all expired by months. Onto the postives. The location was pretty central. The metro is about half a mile away as well as the trolly tours and ford theatre. Capitol hill, white house, washington monument is about a mile away. And lincoln memor Les mer

I love the way the place looks - very luxurious. And, it's convenient that the suites have a full kitchen, plates and silverware. I also like the bedding, furniture and modern flooring. My only issue is that the sound proofing is not great, so it is easy to hear other guests at night, sirens outside and any type of nearby construction. In fact, I slept […] in the very comfortable sofa area because I could hear almost no hotel or outside noise. I would stay again, I'd just be sure to bring earplugs if I wanted to enjoy the luxurious bedroom. Les mer

Beautiful Hotel, Staff were so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend staying here. Close to all amenities. The all you could eat breakfast bar for $10 was absolutely great value.
