Driving from west to east you will be fighting a lot of local trafic from this location, not close to major highways. Better to stay in Illinois.

Room gets 4/5 only because there is quite the echo in the jacuzzi room, any sound sounds so much louder.... Neighborhood gets 4/5 because I was almost run over while crossing street when I was walking to get food. Oh and here is a tip...avoid El Magiay for Mexican food...taco bell tastes more authentic...

Loved the convenience of the surrounding shops and restaurants. The room and Hotel were very clean and luxurious. My one issue was the pillow-top mattress was too soft. If you are used to a firmer mattress, you will not sleep well at all. The rest of the room was very pleasing.

Great room for the price. If you are willing to get off the main routes a little, you cannot beat this Hotel. Much better than 2 1/2 Stars.

Great hotel with its own "village" around it. You could make a day out of the shops that surround it. Our only complaint happened after my wife and I went to the pool. We had taken our room towels to the pool (there weren't any at the pool) and when we called the front desk for more towels the staff kept questioning us as to why we needed more, rather […] than just bringing them. Couldn't have been happier with my stay. Rooms were nice and the bed was super comfortable. Quiet as well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would highly recommend for a getaway.

The hotel and area was GREAT!! Wildwood is beautiful with lots to do in the area. Unfortunately our neighbors were very noisy with kids slamming doors and running in the hallways early in the morning and late in the evening. Of course you get that no matter where you go. People have no respect for others.

We stayed at this hotel because of outpatient surgery the next day in St. Louis. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and liked the indoor pool. Woulld certainly stay again.

This is my second visit with Wildwood. It is a lovely hotel in a quiet location. The only reason I gave my visit a 4 rating is the lack of a shower mat, the surface is quite slick without one, and the hotel alarm that had not been cleared and kept going off. Minor details. The hotel is beautiful from the outside and located in a nice shopping area that includes a movie theater. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of stuff very close by unless you plan to go to the movies every single day. Luckily the area is close enough to downtown St Louis that you can still play tourist. everything went great. Hotel staff were on the ball and willing to chat and give directions and suggestions. I have friends in area so i already was vaguely familiar. It's a little far west but near most major arteries of travel. Beds are super soft type so I was a little disappointed because I like really firm but they took a suggestion that they may […] replace some firmer ones on each floor so you can have a choice. Received discount at great local eatery by lettting them know we were booked at Wildwood. Friends from Dubai stayed also and said everything was very good. This had to be one of the best hotel stays. It was a very nice, newer hotel. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff...the list goes on. I highly recommend it!!!

My bed had short, black hairs in it so I left without ever knowing how comfortable it might or might not be. Also...you must park on the street or walk in and out of a creepy parking garage with blind corners. The hotel is across the street from a police station so I'd imagine you're pretty safe but I didn't like it.

Very clean and quiet. Close to shopping and eating. The hotel did not have a bar which would have been nice, but there was one down the street. The room ambience was nice, but a little brighter lighting or at least the availability of such would have been welcomed. Staff was extremely helpful. Would definitely use this hotel again!

The hotel itself is very pretty and the rooms are comfortable with very nice mattresses on the beds. The area is very nice, safe and quiet. The police station is across the street. It was a little far out from where we needed to be but we had stayed there before and enjoyed it. My hubby and I spent our anniversary here instead of a B&B, and it was really nice. Not far from Hidden Valley Ski resort and plenty of other stuff around to do (the movie theatre is literally across the street). Our only point of dissatisfaction was the continental breakfast, which was lacking.

First off we arrived in evening after a 13 hour drive on Dec 26th to find no help getting our baggage inside. It is completely self-serv in every sense of the word. We struggled with that ourselves up to our room. Upon entering, there was an overwhelming horrid chlorine smell and it was coming from the indoor pool. As far as the room is concerned, there […] is not much temp control, unless you use the very old fashioned useless under window blower to noisily circulate air, which happens to be inches away from the bed. We came to St. Louis to spend Christmas with our relatives. The Wildwood Hotel was a great place to stay because we were only 5 minutes away from the homes of my husband's two sisters. We liked everything about the hotel except the breakfast. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by spending the night at this hotel. The staff was very cordual and the room spacious and very pleasant. It had a whirlpool in the room and comtributed to the fun of the experience.

We use the hotel when visiting family in Wildwood. This is our second stay and will probably stay there again. No complaints.

Very conveniently located in the newly established town centre within walking distance of restaurants, movie theatre etc. While the room was very nice, the beds were most uncomfortable and made for a very poor nights sleep. I would also suggest to replace the thin plastic cups with glass cups. At the otherwise good breakfast it would have been nice […] to find some kind of fruit. This is a nice, quiet hotel that is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The beds are unlike any other hotel we've stayed in -- so, so soft! (So if you like/need a firmer mattress, consider this before you book. The mattresses are double-double pillowtops, so not a lot of support along the edges.) It's great to have this hotel as an option in the […] area -- great location near many shops, movie theater, banks, grocery. Only quibbles are that the current exercise room is small and had only three machines -- two of which were not working quite right. Also, this sounds weird to say, but staff should consider blinds or some sort of remote covering on the skylight in rooms on the top floor -- if you aren't ready to see the sun at 5-6 a.m., you don't have a choice. When I checked into the hotel, no information was given about the complimentary breakfast - time or place. It is not in the hotel information in the room. I had to call down and ask about it. All other hotels where I have stayed let you know that when you check in. The rubber mat for the bathtub had mold on it. The down comforter bedspread has a red […] stain on it that looked like blood. This is a beautiful facility! One of the most important factors in staying in a hotel is the bed. The beds are like air mattresses!!!! We had 2 Queen size beds, and my husband and I had to split up and each sleep in the middle of each bed, as not to roll out. Our backs were killing us each day - stayed 2 nights. I got 3 hours of sleep the first night […] because of the mattress and 4 hours the 2nd night. Our other family members who stayed in the hotel in 3 other rooms, said the same thing about their beds. You have to get rid of those mattresses if you want repeat business! Lovely and clean and nicely decorated, but a customer has to have a good night's sleep. Not possible on your beds. This is the only reaon I would not return, I need my sleep an suffered for 2 days of bachaches after our stay. I don't even have a bad back. Thanks. Oh, my gosh! This is a traveler's and vacationer's dream! The staff was SO friendly and helpful, the room was gorgeous, and the price was fantastic!
