"Great Stay"
This was a great hotel. The staff were friendly and the continental breakfast could be upgraded with bacon/sausage and eggs for only $3.75. I would definitely stay there again.

"New, clean and comfortable"
We just stayed for one night while travelling through. The hotel is quite new, clean and comfortable. Lots of pillows, comfortable beds, extra deep tub, flat screen TV. Parking lot is rather small if you are pulling a trailer. Breakfast room a bit cramped for the size of the hotel, but the continental breakfast was good. You can upgrade to a "real breakfast" […] if you like for a small charge. Try "The Keg" on the other side of the highway for an excellent steak dinner. Les mer

"Monte Carlo Night"
The hotel is great for anyone looking to head into the city to have a good time, It is a short cab ride in. The hotel itself is not very old the rooms were very clean and for the price we got it was a good stay. Would recommend it to anyone who needed to spend a night in Barrie.

Front desk staff was friendly and courteous. I was not impressed with the restaurant staff. The pool was cold on Sunday morning and there was food debris around the deck.

The absolute best customer service ever!! The front desk staff particularly Kristin and Lisa helped us with some issues that we had regarding our length of stay and changing our rooms. We have stayed there before and highly reccomend this hotel to anyone. Could not have been more satisfied. Thanks to all who helped us.
The hotel Monte Carlo in Barrie Ontario is close to major highway and shopping centers.
I expected the hotel to be downtown but it was a little further than I had expected but still not too far. It was just right off the highway however and easy to find and get to.

Hotel is very clean, has very competitive rates and is close to many amenities. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always great service and I consider it to be one of the best hotels in Barrie.

I was put into a room surrounded by people that must have been travelling together - 2 nights of doors opening and closing, running in the halls, children crying, people laughing and carrying on - we had to get up quite early both mornings...I phoned on 2nd night and noise subsided after another 1/2 hr (now almost 1:00am) - I complained when I went […] to check out and and was offered an upgraded breakfast! I told them that for 2 sleepless nights I was expecting something more - he told me he could not and I asked to speak to the manager - she was not in but was told she would call me to discuss...two weeks later I am still waiting for her call - I will NEVER go back to this hotel for this reason no matter how clean it was! the room was nice but we found the bed to be extremely hard, making it uncomfortable. the pool was salt water and this time was a good temp. the included breakfast was pretty good as well.

Great location and facility. Clean + + + + and complimentary breakfast is very good.
I enjoyed the cleanliness and hospitality. Great place to stay, that I booked again the following week for business. I also recommended it to fellow coworkers who chose to transfer here from the place they had booked as well.

Pleasantly surprised...the room was very clean...a little small. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was served from 6:00 a.m. on...was perfect as we wanted an early start to our trip.

Good location, newer hotel, just a couple years old, excellent room. However, there is a vent out side the room in the hallway that roared all night long. Staff were apologetic, upgraded our breakfast, offered to move us when we complained, but decided not to at 2am. "Beautiful Hotel...but a little loud."
As an overall rating, the hotel was absolutely beautiful. Very cozy and comfortable. Easy to get to off the 400. When we arrived it was nice and quiet and then the hockey team showed up. Understandably, they were having fun but when 11pm hit, it's bedtime. Then the adults started. I'm not sure what was worse, the whispering or the drinking and bumping […] into our door until 2am. Not until after we called the front desk did they finally go to bed. Other than that, we would recommend this hotel to anyone, but i would recommend finding out if there are any sports teams staying =) Les mer
"Great hotel"
I've stayed here twice now and really enjoyed the stay both times. The restaurant is small but the food is great. Our second stay included a very loud group just down the hall but the management dealt with it as best as they could, it could happen anywhere. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Monte Carlo in Barrie after a medical appt. The room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast had a good variety, but I upgraded to a "warm" meal for a few dollars more (well worth it!) I will stay again as it is close to shopping centres & right off Hwy. 400!

This hotel was very nice, staff were welcoming and helpful with directions/sites around the area. The restaurant in the hotel had a great 3 course special. I had the NY steak with potatoes and veg. It was excellent and was only $25 which included and appetizer and dessert. TOP NOTCH!

We picked the hotel in a hurry as their was a death in the family. Never having stayed at this chain, we did not know what to expect, however it was handy to the location. We were surprised. There was a salt water pool. We had breakfast and dinner both days at the hotel and enjoyed all. The staff were excellent. It could not have worked out better.

I had to leave so early in the morning that I didn't get to try out the pool or workout facilities. The night before, I did have dinner in their restaurant (delicious!), and then retired to my room. The breakfast was very good and started early, at 6 a.m. My bed was so comfortable! I liked the TV mounted on the wall instead of on a dresser. On the basis of our one night stay at 81 Hart St. we would, without any hesitation, recommend this hotel to anyone seeking professional and efficient staff who provide you with a comfortable and very nicely appointed room....we enjoyed our stay and will use this Monte Carlo again when in this City.
upon pulling back the covers on my bed following a long day I found a large black hair attched to the bottom sheet. There was no safety chain on the inside of my room door which contributed to a terrible nights sleep as I did not feel 100% safe in my room.
