The staff at the hotel had basic english skills, so some aspects were a little hard - you couldn't rely on their service for sightseeing information for example. In saying that, they were lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. The subway entrance was a one minute walk from the hotel, which made getting around very easy.

Good service with very good location. I love the washing machine in room, this is very helpful. The warmer and hot water service is easy to access. This is very important when the weather is cold and sometimes snowing. The size of room is reasonable and the price is fair. The only problem is no wifi access and need to bring a laptop or notebook. Is a budget hotel where very near to the subway station higobashi. Lawson, 7 eleven very nearby. And a cheap Japanese fast food restaurant just around the corner. Taste not bad for the food . Highly recommend to those budget traveller . Save Ur cost for staying in the city .

The hotel's location is way to awesome. There is a subway station name higobashi near to the hotel . If you from Nankai airport to this hotel via subway, it only cost you 980 yens which is cheaper than taking other public transportation. When the 1st moment you step into the hotel , you feel really comfort and relax .

Nice hotel, with good facilities within the room itself! 15mins walk to Umeda and the subway is just at 10 seconds from the entrance! Only dissapointment is that there is no WIFI!

It is in a good location next to the subway & convenience stores. We had 2 rooms & they were both a bit smelly, one worse than the other. I didn't find the kitchen useful, easier to get cheap food at the bar/food place. The staff were friendly & looked after our luggage for us. The way the room is equipped reminds me of the cabin of a boat, or an RV. There is no wasted space at all. Every cubic cm is being put to use. The room is completely equipped down to the freezer compartment inside the fridge. while it seems that small rooms are De Rigueur in Japan, the well conceived layout blunts this problem.

The room was very clean, however not designed for tall people. Low door frames and only one pillow on the semi-double bed. Overall a very pleasant stay in easy reach of Osaka City centre though.

The hotel is like an apartment or studio type. Although it is a little compact, it got every thing in it for traveller. It located right next to subway station entrance that is only one stop from Osaka Main Station. The hotel is in the small alley and quiet. They keep every thing very clean. Although the room is for smoking room which not what we planned, […] we open the window and turn on the AC for few minute to let the smoke out. There are two convenient stores near by in 2 minutes walk. The area is safe and clean like most areas in Japan. The additional sink in kitchen is very convenient while someone occupy the bathroom. My family has 3 person to fit in the room very comfort. The in room internet has access cable. My wife use the in room lundry every night and hang the cloth in the bathroom. The bath room has separated air condition to keep the dry. The cloth will be dry up next day. Osaka is located at the center of many attraction in Japan. Most of the surrounding areas are within 30-40 minutes train routes. This hotel is good for multi days travel. The room price is very good for the quality. We stayed in this room for 5 nights. It has convenient access to most of attractions for a daily trip. We didn't want the house keeping staff come in the room while we went out, the house keeping staff still put a bag for clean towel at the door every day. The service is wonderful. Les mer

We really cannot find anything wrong with the room! Hardly any noise from outside. Room is spacious by Japanese standard and well equipped. For what we paid, it was real good value. We stayed there several nights and will return again. The only drawback is the staff speak very little English but we get by. Although the hotel was situated within 100 metres of a subway and had a kitchen and washing machine it was the attitude of the staff that ruined our stay. When we went to our room the entire hall of our floor was filled with stinking rubbish bags absolutely horrid We called it Hotel NO - anything we asked the staff for was answered with NO. By Japanese standards the room was reasonably spacious especially just for a couple as there was room to put luggage in the wardrobe and a small kitchenette (although no plates, cutlery or cooking utensils but you could borrow saucepans, etc from reception). Super good location. Airport shuttle bus service only 12 mind walk away. Osaka station 15 mins away. Higobashi station just next to the hotel.. Easy to get to sashibashi, namba and Umeda area.. Really close to Higobashi station and also close to the Midosuji line, which are very handy. Room was cleaned every day. We took a smoking room, executive with Tatami. The room was much bigger than expected and had a window overlooking the street. Would not recommend a non smoker to take a smoking room as it gets quite strong on these levels but it […] was great as a smoker to have the option of smoking room as there are restrictions on where you can smoke in Japan (can't smoke on the streets except in designated areas). We stayed three nights at this hotel. It was a nightmare because we could not speak Japanese language. I will not hesitate to tell all non Japanese speaking visitors do not choose this hotel. The location was find and the room was clean and normal sized by Japanese standards. However, the service was poor. There was only one pillow in the room to begin with and there were two of us. We had a microwave and kettle but the hotplate didn't work and the hotel couldn't provide us with plates or bowls, even small ones. The staff spoke no english […] and I often felt as if I were intruding when I asked for anything that would be standard in other hotels. The key was an absolute pain to use and both windows opened to busy streets so we had to close them and keep the air con on all night. The location was handy but that's about all as far as perks go. A little hard to find, but reasonably quiet. Rooms are very functional, with small kitchen and microwave. Extremely good value.. I would recommend this hotel. Knowing a little Japanese helps to communicate with the staff.

The rooms where were quite large, (especially for a Japanese hotel), with Tatami matting, a wardrobe large enough to fit a large suitcase as well as all my clothes on the hangers/shelves, facilities like microwave, kettle, kitchinet with hot plate, and even a washing machine and a heater thing in the bathroom to dry your clothes overnight (something […] much valued when it's snowing outside) all in the room. The hotel was nice, clean, comfortable and cheap. The staff was friendly, but as expected they didn't speak much English. The hotel was located in an office area of Osaka with little life. So that part was not so good. Fortunately you can go everywhere in Osaka pretty quick with subway, and the hotel had a subway stop right next to it.

Ridiculously close to the underground station exit that is listed in the directions to the hotel. We were silly and wandered straight out and around thinking it would be a few minutes walk. We ended up spending a good hour and a half getting lost before finding the hotel and then noticing that if we'd only turned around from where we had come out we […] would have seen it immediately. It is literally 20seconds away! The room was very nice and felt quite spacious, like a small Japanese apartment. Our room had a little hallway with the bathroom off on one side, a small closet thing that had a washer/dryer (free, just need detergent) and then another door to the room. The room was equipped with a mini kitchenette (sink, hot place, microwave, kettle) but strangely no cutlery/plates/pots pans. At one end of the room you had a little tatami area with low table and cushions to sit on, which was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable and there were enough sockets round the room for us to charge phones/cameras. Staff were helpful and let us check in an hour or so earlier than you're meant to. In the immediate surrounding area you have a 24hr bento/yoshinoya style food place, convenient stores and some restaurants/bars. Very easy to get into the main hubub of it all either through walking or taking the subway. Les mer

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel, was easy to find, great location, very close to 2 subway stops which made commute very easy. Upon arrival we received bags of toiletries, including a little cute bag for my 4 year old, which she loved! the hotel is close to major shopping, eating and coffee places. there is a 24 hour restaurant 10 meters from the hotel. […] and we loved the fact that there was a washing machine and a dryer in the room, so we were able to wash and dry clothes very easily! This hotel is without question the most reasonably priced hotel I have EVER stayed in. Virtually everything in Japan is expensive so I couldn't believe the amazing deal I got on this hotel room. As a solo traveler I was simply using the room as a place to crash at the end of a long day and I wasn't disappointed. The room was a perfect size with a solid […] bedroom, a decent bathroom, A KITCHEN, AND A WASHING MACHINE. What an incredible surprise! The hotel is fairly small but has a little cafe downstairs good for fueling up before a long day out and about. The people working at the desk spoke broken English but were incredibly friendly. The greatest part of this hotel is that it is LITERALLY 20 feet from the blue subway line. AND is only one stop away from Osaka Station which was the main hub of my adventures. The subway is overwhelming but always knowing where your hotel is can be incredibly comforting. I couldn't have been happier with my stay! My stay at Chisun Inn Umeda was quite beyond what I expected for a rather cheap hotel.The quality of facilities of the hotel can be compared to the one of 4 star hotels. It is really clean and has got a very friendly staff except for getting through international calls, I did not have a serious problem there.
