The room was stinky and the floor felt gross.

The office staff was not very customer service oriented. The room was clean. I expected a bit more for the price, like newer linens and a friendlier staff. The free breakfast wasn't bad.

It was cleaned very well every day. The location was close for me to jump right on the interstate. Overall I would say it was fine.

Very conveinent but bring your own pillows!!! My boyfriend and I had to share 2 tiny flat pillows on our king size and was refused extra pillows by the front desk. Very unhappy woke up in pain. Ended up using the bathroom towels provided to makd a makeshift pillow. :(

I arrived late, just looking for a place to sleep. I was not expecting much but I was pleasently surpriced! the room was comfortable with a nice chair, a desk and a great bed. Also a fridge and coffee maker etc. Everything was clean and well kept. This was much better than what I expected. The room we were assigned was a handicapped room. We had ask for a standard non-smoking queen room. When I ask about the assignment, I was informed that all queen rooms are handicapped rooms. This should be noted on your site. I could have taken a King room and avoided the problems we had.

Well we try to check in & the receptionast had trouble speaking & understand english. He also had trouble confirming our resevations. Check in took about 45 minutes.. Our room was right next door to some all night party goers who partied at our door all night. We didn't recieve clean towels for the next day even after requesting them!!!! Needless I […] won't be Staying here anymore... Although the price was very reasonible, u get what u pay for I guess. Very unsatified.... Les mer

stayed for 2 nights. the first night they didn't hold our reserved room. they only had smoking and double rooms available and we would have to change rooms the following day because all of the double rooms were booked. Just the process to get in the room took an hour. Once getting to the room the bedding had not need cleaned or changed. This was evident […] when we pulled off the top blanket and some change fell out. Once we finally got to the room and fell asleep (2am) we received phone calls every couple hours with no one on the other end. At 7:15 the call we received finally had a person. It was the clerk informing us again that we'd have to change rooms. The next nights room had sheets that had stains on them. And, once again that night was interrupted by a disgruntled woman banking and kickin our door violently at 2:30 in the morning. I will never stay at this place again, and I'm not a picky traveller. I had a bad experience with the manager. After flying from California all night we arrived at the hotel early. I understood we were too early to check in so we left for a while. About 45 minutes before check in we came back because we were exhausted. The manager would not let us check in until 2 oclock exactly. So we had to sit in the car for 45 minutes […] in the heat and not having slept for over 24 hours. She was rude and not friendly at all. I willnot stay at that hotel again. Les mer

The only reason we stayed was because I was going for costmetology-state board- we didny want to spend much. For the price was resoniable for as much time as we stayed. Only dislike was the person at the front desk and our fire alarm battery being low and front desk not answering when called but other than that, cheap for convenience.

We had a good stay at this hotel, the lady at the front desk wasn't very helpful even though she seemed nice enough! But overall i would recommend this hotel to others!

When we were a bit outside of Baton Rouge I called the hotel to let them know that we would be coming in at a late time, early morning. I asked them if we could get an additional night since we weren't originally planning to get in at that time. When we got there, there was no attendant working. I rang their service buzzer several times, still nothing. […] I called the phone number and someone answered that sounded like they had been sleeping. After I told the person that we were trying to check in, no one came to help us for another 10 minutes. Even then, the service was poor and the person made it seem like it was a real bother to be awake and check us in. This was very frustrating since we were very tired too and just wanted a simple check in and a bed to sleep in. It was even more frustrating that I had called earlier in the night and had given them my arrival time. Les mer

I think the bed had bed bugs and we did not sleep all night with all the howlering and fighting in the parking lot. And no one did anything about it!

I rented (2) rooms at this Super 8 for a weekend get-away with some friends. My first experience with the hotel was with the gentlemen who checked me in. He admitted he was new to me, which I was ok with until the last night we were there. He had to call upper management 2x while I was there because he was unsure how to get me checked in. They should […] not have anyone working alone who is NOT trained on how to check in guests. The 2nd night (last night), my friend who was in the other room got a very loud knock on the door at 3 am!!!! The front desk manager (possibly owner) was knocking on her door to inform her that her room was not paid for and wanted her to depart immediately! The manager never introduced herself as staff so my friend was worried who was she even dealing with at the time. The manager claimed she had been calling the room all day (which we were at Blue Bayou) and had not responded. So at 3 am!!, she comes to the room to kick them out? I gave the manager proof that I had booked my rooms online and my credit card had been charged for (2) rooms for (2) nights! She still didn't want to believe them at first! She never apologized for the error and waking us up in the middle of night. The sad thing was that she didn't even approached us as “there is some discrepancy with your room, can we figure it out”. She approached my friend as a criminal and as guilty before she got any facts from us. What happened was the guy who checked me in, listed us as paying cash for (1) room for (1) night!!! My question becomes, if she was “calling” us all day, why did she wait until 3 am to come knock at our door. I am sorry but hotel management does NOT treat your guests in the way we were treated. We also did not have enough towels or toilet paper in our rooms. I will NEVER stay again at this hotel and I will not give any good reviews! Les mer

The Hotel was okay but to many people just wondering around and asking are yall checking out can i shower before yall leave just a person off the street walking around the room floor was not to clean sunflower seeds was left over the floor and housekeeping must over looked them

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and was very concerned with our needs.

Nice room, clean, quiet. It's near Mall of Louisiana. Reasonable rates+++ Continental breakfast was nowhere to be found at 8 a.m.?!?!

This hotel is not worth their cheap nightly rate. I thought it wouldn't matter, it was just a place to lay my head, but I was wrong! Everything about the place was grimey and dismal. The clock wouldn't stop flashing and someone diabled the smoke detector, which left us with a "beep" every 30 seconds or so. When I called the desk, the response was "I […] think it's supposed to do that." I assured her it was not supposed to do that, and she told me someone would be up in 30 min. I called an hour later, was told "another 15", and left after 25. I won't even get into the activity that was witnessed in the parking lot at 4:30PM. Pay an extra $15/night and get someplace that you feel safe in. I did not sleep there at all, it was that bad. Les mer

room was clean but walls are thin. neighbors were noisy but when we fell asleep it was okay. the breakfast buffet is not worth waking up for. waffle house is next door.

Hotel seemed to be changing hands. Sign at roof said just "HOTEL". Front desk was several East Indians without a desk. Rear lot had a menagerie of camodes which were being scrapped. Room was fine, but power failure blacked out building for about 2 hrs. Clean room, otherwise quiet (very few guests. it wasnt bad, but for the price, i was expecting more....the front desk employee/owners came off as if i was bothering them when i went to check in....i've received better service at the 6

Clean enough, convenience questionable but good value. Bed hard but not so bad you cant sleep.

Great hotel for the price. Not luxurious, but this place is great for a one night stay. Easy in and out, and the room had all you needed. Also it was clean.

Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Location of hotel was close to many restaurants and shopping. My only complaint is that there were a group of men (10-15) hanging around on the 2nd floor balcony and they kept staring at my daughter and I. We didn't have a problem except that it made us uncomfortable when walking to our vehicle.

Hotel is clean and very new looking. I will stay th ere again due to good price and excellent location.

Ok, it was clean. And cheap. That's about all the positives I can give it. When we arrived, we were given the key to a room already rented out. (EmBARRASING!!!) When we returned to the desk to ask about it, the desk clerk, who barely spoke English, had difficulty understanding the problem, then denied that the room was already occupied. He insisted […] that we had gone to the wrong room (We hadn't) . Finally we took him to the room to show that the lights were on and the room obviously occupied. Then we were given another room. It was not what we asked for--2 queens, but it was late, so we didn't make a deal of it. Inside the room we found 3 handtowels, a bath mat and no soap or shampoo. Another trip. This time a different person was at the desk and she grudgingly handed over one soaplet and one shampoolet. The next day, after we returned to our room, again--it's clean, so no troubles there--we found one bath towel three washclothes, no soap and no bath mat. Went to office three times and no one is there. Finally scored a soaplet. We gave up after this and hoarded soap, bought shampoo and dried off with washclothes. This place was new, more or less, but is heading straight to skanksville. I really don't recommend anyone staying here. I know I learned MY lesson Les mer

Stayed here after an LSU football game. Great location to head to New Orleans the next day. Clean rooms, clean towels and good beds. Nothing extravagant, and I wouldn't want to stay a week, but if you're looking for a place to clean up and get a good night's sleep at a reasonable cost, this is the spot. I definitely would stay here again.

I arrived at 1:30 (check in is at 1:00) I could not check in there was no rooms clean. Went to the LSU game came back to check well I had to go up stairs because there were no rooms on the bottom floor, also my conformation said non-smoking , but they had to give me a smoking, I am not happy and I would NOT stay there again, not to mention the light […] on the side of the bed did not work and the bathroom light took forever to come on. This property was extremely clean, quite and comfortable for a lot less $$ than some of the other area hotels. The location was convenient to shopping, great dining and not too bad getting to Tiger Stadium, with excpetion to the the traffic the closer we got to the stadium. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the Baton Rouge area and highly […] recommend this location to others. Les mer

Room was much better than expected.Good bang for your buck!

The hotel room was clean, but they had no room service at all. Amenities were awful. Pillows were cheap and worn down. Towels were thin and small. Front desk manager was extremely rude. We were only in town to go to the LSU game so I would recommend a cheap, quick stay here but know what you are paying for. Not difficult to get to campus.

The rooms were very old or had a very old smell. We opened up the microwave and there sat a molded plate of food that had been in the oven for many days. The hotel staff were very unfriendly and ignored most of the questions that I asked them on check in. I will never stay in this hotel ever again. I will sleep in the truck on the side of the road! […] I booked 4 rooms and everyone that had a room was in aggreement that this was a place to lay your head down at night and nothing more. The free breakfast consisted of a bowl of cereal and a cup of very weak coffee and a box of donuts from the food store. I could not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I spoke with the owner of the hotel about the coffee and she said it as fine and normal. The other guest that were with me also stated the same thing about the coffee. I could go on for a while about this hotel but I think you get the picture. Les mer
