Familie på fire med to tenåringer sjekket inn i fullt skiutstyr rett fra skibakkene i Banff. Ingen hevet et øyenbryn. God og rask service hele veien, uten å være insisterende eller påtrengende - bare hyggelig kanadisk gjestfrihet. To av familiemedlemmene koste seg med den sagnomsuste søndags-brunchen, det ble sagt at det var verdt hver eneste stive dollar. Foreldrene hadde det trivelig i den hyggelige baren om kvelden, med bra meny (også for mat) og kunnskapsrik, vennlig betjening. Hotellets beliggenhet i forhold til det som muligens kan kalles shoppinggatene var utmerket - i samme område også mange muligheter for måltider. "Vegg-i-vegg" med hotellet er Calgary Tower, og besøket i restauranten der på en krystallklar dag med 360 graders utsikt ble veldig vellykket. Vi fikk ikke helt grep på byen - en relativt stor by uten "byfølelse" slik vi opplevde det. Imidlertid er Calgary en "viktig" by for å nå en rekke av de mest interessante skistedene i Alberta, og vi vil forsøke å benytte Fairmont Palliser også ved senere anledninger. Vi har også skjønt at Calgary kan være verdt et besøk under "The Stampede" og da vil dette hotellet ha en glimrende beliggenhet (hvis man er tidlig nok ute med bestillingen).

Brukte hotellet i 14 dager i forbindelse med løp på Olympic Oval. Hotellrommet var rent og ryddig når vi kom. Huggelig betjening tok i mot oss ved ankomst. Det var stille og roligt om nettene. Rommet ble sjekket opp hver dag.

The hotel is well located in downtown Calgary , nice and clean with big suites. We had the Executive Suites at lower level, a bit traffic noice from 4th Ave, but not more what could be expected in a city. Choose a room at higher level to avoid noice. Beds were good, bathroom OK (but not fantastic). Great parking facility, yes it is dusty, but you aren't supposed to live down there. Make sure you get the parking included in room price. Staff in reception were friendly. What could be improved is the breakfast served in the restaurant. Staff could be more friendly and service oriented, we had some quite different experiences. Overall a nice hotel at a reasonable price.

"*****BED BUG ALERT*****"
We choose the hotel based on the positive reviews. We booked three rooms and only our room was affected by the bugs. I received 30 bed bug bites on my hands and 5 on my face. I informed the front desk clerk upon check-out. She was very professional, apologized and encouraged me to contact the manager when I got home, which I did. He informed me there […] was no evidence of bugs in the bed and therefore they could do nothing for me. I have not been in any other hotel for the past six months and have never been bitten by these bugs before. I went to bed and woke up with bites. However the manger tells me the bites take up to six days to show up. This is not consistent with the info on medical web-sites. I'm extremely disappointed with how they have handled it, will never stay there again and wanted to warn others. Les mer

Loved the room -- modern, clean and comfortable. Very quite and the curtains blocked out all the light since we had to go to sleep early to catch an early flight the next day. Shuttle service on time and efficient. Also loved the restaurant "Pacini" Great italian food and a bread bar. Also, great happy hour.

Although my stay at the Acclaim was not very long and my choice to go there came by intuition, it was very good intuition and choice. The place was quiet, clean and comfortable. I changed my original reservation to include wheelchair assessibilty and was given a room immediately at no extra charge which met my needs completely. The adjoining restaurant […] for our meals more than met expectations and the experience was a delight. "Coolest Bathroom!"
I was satisfied with the bed but my husband said it hurt his back. The room was well kept and the TV in the bathroom was great. Staff was attentive and the ajoining restaurant was also very good.

Great hotel - has a terrific restaurant attached. Very clean, good amenities - terrific bathroom! It's not very close to shopping or dining, but if you're just coming in for business or have a car, this is a great choice.

This place has everything on my list of little things that make a hotel outstanding, from the bathrobes to the in-bathroom screens to free water to the sublime shower. The right hand doesn't know what the left if doing at this hotel. Our adjoining restaurant experience (food & staff) is so despicable that I will not mention the details. "Hotel and restaurant very pleasant."
The rooms were well appointed with big tv, iPod charger alarm, upgraded bathroom, to mention a few things. I am an extremely light sleeper so heard people walking on my head at 6 the next morning. My wife heard nothing. Quickly that morning we were moved to the fourth floor for two more nights of uninterrupted sleep. Pacino's restaurant has great food, […] portions and pricing. I was very pleased about staying at this hotel, a more sophisticated version of any of the 3 star hotels I had stayed at and was impressed by the cleanliness and appointment of space as well as a good quality sleep mattress, bath robes to enjoy and a wonderful six head shower in the bathroom. "Very Nice"
Very nice hotel. Little off the beaten trail, but clean, staff friendly, business class clientele, and the rooms were great! (Beds comfy, steam showers, real hair dryer). Only negitive was there was no room service (there is a resturant in the hotel though), and no fridge in the room.

Hotel was clean, quiet, comfortable and had some of the ammenities that made our stay pleasant. These included free bottled water in the room, in room safe, free internet access in lobby. Newer hotel included automated lights out and temperature control. Hot tubs on the roof made for a unique winter outdoor experience. The room was beautiful and new but it looks like they are not cleaning it as well as they should be. The outside of the tub was dirty and there was hair in the bathroom that didn't belong to us. Also, the mattress on one of the beds was already worn and sloped to one side. It was overall a great place to stay, however. We choose this hotel because of its location close to the airport and the fact that they offered a parking package along with your hotel room. We loved the room and checked out the hot tubs on the roof which were amazing. We didn't try the restaurant. The only problem that we encountered was that the check-in was very slow. It seemed to take forever […] to get a whole bunch of families checked in. We waited at least 15minutes to check in and there was a long line up behind us as we were checked in! We arrived late at night after our return trip from Vegas. The check-in was prompt and we were in our room within minutes of arriving. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable, although the hotel had high end finishes such as granite on the countertops and multi shower heads in the deep soaker bathtub and a TV in the bathroom, we noticed the quality […] of the workmanship in this newer hotel was of poor quality - nothing was straight, including the multi shower head fixture and the granite around the tub. The bed was very comfortable, although we thought it odd that we were only covered by a duvet cover - no bed sheet between us and the duvet cover! New trend?? I hope not. We had an excellent breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Lots of choices and very reasonable prices. We plan on staying at this hotel again on our next trip as they allow free parking during your trip out of town and have shuttle service to and from the airport. Good value and great sleep! Les mer

Perfect location if you need to get to Calgary airport and the complimentary shuttle service is a plus. We only had a short overnight stay but would have loved to explore the roof top hot tub and the selection of free movies.

This has to be one of the nicest and quietest properties I have stayed in. The room was not extraordinarily large (actually on the small size) but excellent use of space made it just as big as I needed it. We are a family of three, and we had a Queen Suite... equipped with a small kitchen (microwave, coffee maker, fridge and sink). The only downside […] is the location - but if you have a car, you are set. Very nice property, I would recommend it. What a wonderful surprise! We stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon. We picked it for one reason - close to the airport. Wow, were we pleasantly shocked. You must stay here if you are in Calgary - even if you don't need to be by the airport. The shower/bath is an out of this world luxury, with a rain shower head, and 6 gentle steam nozzles! "Great hotel at the airport."
This is a pretty cool hotel.... not just your typical "at the airport" hotel. The rooms are really nice and there is a hot tub on the roof with an incredible 360 view of Alberta. Not much to see but fun. We were just on our way through but actually would have liked to have been there for more than a quick overnight.

Took my family for a mini holiday and wanted to try a new hotel, since we usually stay at another family of hotels. Was very satisfied with this one and we really enjoyed ourselves. Hot tubs with views from the roof top was special and the beds in perticular was very comfortable, as was the room as a whole. The real treat was the Italian resturant, […] which can be enjoyed for any occation and company.
