We missed a flight and had to miss one night of 2 that we booked with this hotel. Alex (night duty) from Fairfield Inn was not only empathetic but he offered to cancel my reservation long after the cancellation window. That definitely boosted us up on a night of chaos at the airport. This hotel was magnificent. The staff was excellent from the front desk to the shuttle driver. The hotel was very clean and the furniture/decor was updated with modern pieces. We stayed the night of March 8th, checked in around 11:30 pm and left at 3:30 am to catch a flight. The front desk was dismissive and disinterested. We had had a horrible day of travel which included 4 airports and we were delayed a full day on our trip. At that point a friendly welcome would've have been nice! They were not welcoming and it seemed […] an effort for them to answer our questions, such as securing a taxi for our return to the airport and where would could get a bite to eat. Overall the hotel was nice and clean but very disappointed with the front desk staff. With so many other hotels in the area, for that reason I would not recommend to any other travelers. Les mer

The rate was extremely high. The hotel staff was not friendly, unhappy to make change at the front desk. The breakfast was the worse ever. We had to tell the two employees that were standing talking that the eggs and sausage had run out, They brought back cold or frozen refills. The cereal was stale, the hot water for oatmeal was cold, Unedible :(

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and unobtrusive. The breakfast which was included in the rate was quite adequate - cereals, eggs, fruit, yogurt, juices, toast, bagels, waffles, coffee, etc. However, on a few occasions the items that should have been hot were just warm. Not a bad place to stay if going to Miami especially if you need to stay near airport. Large outdoor Hot Tub was under renovation. Price was reasonable, under $200 US. Better than paying $350.00 per night like the Hampton Inn Miami (Bricknell) was asking, where I stayed last year. Hamton Inn was an average hotel and wayyyyy over priced!

The Best 2.5 start hotel I have ever been to. The place was very clean. Service was very good. Their Breakfast selection was good. A better quality coffee will improve the overall quality and experience. After all it is Miami and in my opinion, in Miami coffee is always excellent! We came in on a late flight so were looking for a room to gather as the rest of our group arrived the next day. The ariport transport was great. We had a hard time finding a place to get a bite to eat late at night. Not much within walking distance late at night anyway. The restaurant accross the street was closing as we arrived. Pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the room and the hotel. Very nicely appointed and quite comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful in directing us to area restaurants that we could walk to. Will definitely stay here again.

Rather clean, small hotel with very noisy air conditioning (can't have it on during the night). Poor breakfast with plastic plates, forks, knives. Orange juice and jogurt eatable, luckily. Pool is in fact a small whirlpool outside and hard to find with no guidance in room book/elevator/corridors. Parking costs at the hotel basement and it was said not […] to be safe outside. The room suffered in cleanliness, especially in the bathroom. The service could have been friendlier and more effortless. Food stations in the breakfast area were awkwardly placed around the room, need smoother flow to finding beverages vs. food items.

I liked the fact that the stores and restaurant are very closed to the hotel,( I will recommend to walk with someone when going shopping.) This hotel is located in a city.The room was very clean and the staff were wonderful.

It's a nice place to stay for a night or two. We book our shuttle to the cruise port with the hotel the same day we checked in! Overall this was very pleasing to us for the price!

The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel shuttle picked us up at the airport with no problems. The hotel was close enough to the hotel with little air traffic noise. All in all we were very satisfied with our short stay between flights.

Very beautiful hotel, spacious and very clean rooms and bathrooms. Decoration and colors are vey nice too. The choices for breakfast were limited, but overall the hotel is really nice and deserves to be classified as more than two and a half stars

The hotel staff went out of their way to assist us. We had to leave at 3 am for the airport. They we're able to give us a few breakfast items. When we pointed out that they needed to be refrigerated for the next twelve hours they brought a refrigerator to our room. The hotel advertised a pool. We were expecting to spend the afternoon enjoying the sun […] and water. My daughter was very disappointed that the pool was not a pool but a large spa type whirlpool...very nice but not what we were expecting. She shot off an email to head office and received a quick response. The advertising was corrected and we were given a small credit for our next visit. I would give the Marriott high credit for their quick response and would stay here again for a short layover. Les mer

Ovverall a nice facility. Seemed to be in a safe area with well lit grounds and a good seafood restaurant right across the street. Room was clean, spacious and quiet with good shower, tub & TV. Did have trouble finding the hotel shuttle when we arrived at the airport and ended up taking a taxi ($11). Advertised a "concierge" service, but when we tried […] to get help at the front desk finding transportation to the Amrak train station they were pretty much clueless. Our stay was fairly brief but we were very pleased with our she shuttle service from the airport was quick and convenient and the front desk staff helped us find local restaurants to walk to in the area. The area is the best but my husband and I felt safe walking around at night to grab a bite. The hotel itself is lovely.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport. You need to call to have somebody pick you up at the airport. The rooms are well equipped and decorated. I have stayed in this hotel several times because of its location but there is always an issue and discussions at check-in. The airport shuttle arrived promptly after I called for a pick-up. The hotel felt new and clean. I am sensitive to mold and usually avoid rooms with carpet but this carpet was clean. Breakfast was better than I expected. Wireless connection was relatively fast. I'll return!

Ideally placed for an overnight if returning to MIA airport by car - particularly easy route back to rental return. Perfectly good, reasonably priced hotel. Only one nearby restaurant though.

We booked this hotel the same day of our stay. It was a business trip. Check-in was simple. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable. Our view was over the pool area. Breakfast was delightful. The hotel is located just a short five minute drive from the airport. A free shuttle is available and came shortly after we called the hotel. We stayed at the hotel the night before a cruise. The hotel seems quite new and the rooms are very spacious. Free wi-fi is available in the hotel as is a free breakfast. The breakfast is simple but it does the […] trick. Just be warned that it is extremely crowded in the mornings. You have to wait awhile to get a taxi to the cruise port as taxis are hard to come by on cruise days. I'm wondering if it would have been better to just take the shuttle back to the airport and take a taxi from there. Overall, happy with the hotel. Les mer

We stayed here post-cruise because it is close to the airport. We have come to expect very comfortable stays at Fairfield Inn where ever we go. This Fairfield did not disappoint. The room was clean and comfortable. We took the hotel shuttle the next morning to the airport with no problems at all. The only negative was trying to find someplace to eat. […] The young lady at the front desk didn't seem to know anything about the area. After following her vague directions to McDonald's and never finding it, we tried to go to another restaurant in the Marriott next door that she told us about only to find out that they were closed. It was frustrating. The staff should be able to give good directions to and know what the hours are for nearby restaurants. We ended up taking a $20 taxi ride (each way) to find a restaurant that we were familiar with that wasn't fast food. Les mer

The hotel itself was fine, clean and comfortable however the receptionist gave some bad advice which resulted in a long, wasted trip and a large taxi fare. I've a feeling the cab driver was her boyfriend or relation.

This hotel close to the airport and a local shopping area. The staff are polite courteous and helpful and most are fluent speaking English as Spanish is the host language. The shuttle service is equally accommodating for a 5mile radius pick up & drop off service for those who do not have a car. The buses are very good and you can get to coconut walk […] or downtown Miami very easy if your in no rush!!! This enables you to see Miami as a local. The yellow taxis are reasonable when in a group and especially with all the shopping from dolphin mall outlet otherwise for a more sceanic route you can opt for the hotels €10 round trip to and from dolphin mall. Breakfast is self service and managed well by the breakfast staff. The laundry facilities are very good an added bonus..... We are going back next year Les mer
