Dukes at Queens Boutique Hotel - Belfast

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. All amenities were great, though their wifi service did not work well in the rooms. Other than that everything else was perfect, breakfast included!! One of the best Irish breakfasts I had in Ireland.

We stayed at Dukes twice on this most recent trip to Europe. It's very close to Queens university as well as the university housing. There are all the shops and restaurants close by that you might want. And the city center is within a 15 min walk. Loved this hotel which has apparently had a complete refit over last 2 or 3 years. Several old red-bricked victorian buildings formed into one hotel beautifully decorated. Lovely bedrooms (if you like Hotel du Vin this will be up your street), beautiful breakfast room - good breakfast selection included in price, lovely reception staff. Easy walking […] to city centre and lots of eating/drinking places closeby, Maggie Mays worth a visit. Did not eat there in the evening as only in town for 2 nights so ate out but menu looked good and offers to be had. Definitely stay her again if in Belfast, do not feel it could be bettered. Les mer

lovely hotel.Staff couldnt be nicer and very helpful especially at reception.Its right beside the university,lisburn road and centre of town 10 -15 mins. walk.Bed most comfortable but room was dark making it difficult to read.When in Belfast we will be calling back to the Duke at Queens

Clean rooms, comfortable, service with a personal touch, eveyone very helpful and would definitely come back to stay. Near train station but a little bit further from town.

Ive stayed in this Hotel on 3 previous occasions and always found it one of the best hotel stays in Belfast. Its with much regret that my last stay does not require the same feedback. As always staff where very welcoming but the service I received when requesting a late check out was insulting as my wife and I where celebrating our anniversary. I was […] not given the request. Moving onto our room, it would be very worth while if the hotel would look at the cleaning of their rooms. 1) air vent outside the bathroom was filthy with visible dust and fluff, 2) The windows did not open and more concerning where covered with black like suit(this was only apparent when trying to open windows) 3) The toilet brush holder on bathroom was disgusting, covered with rust which I can only assume was caused by urine. And finally on our receipt for the room it was described as the best available double room, if this is or was the case then the hotel has alot of work to do to improve its cleaning standards.Overall we were happy with the bar service and night porter who was professional in all he done. Although having sampled the cleaning standards of our room we where reluctant to eat in the hotel. I hope this honest feedback is taken on board and acted upon. The Dukes is a lovely Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated with nice touches like an iPod docking station. Breakfast was of a very good quality. The only drawback being the on street parking, as its hard to find somewhere before 18:00 anywhere close to the hotel. One of the best cooked breakfast in a hotel, freshly cooked and tasted really nice. The hotel is around 15 - 20 mins. walk from City Centre, but taxi is cheap (around £4 - 5 to get back), but parking can be a problem, close to university and most of the parking is un-restricted, so very busy. My boyfriend and I went to this hotel a while ago and we absolutely adored it, it was sure boutique and it's cute and very modern in the bedrooms, we got both a shower and bath in our room, a large plasma tele, it was pretty cool! Staff were very friendly, happy to help you with anything. Directions and parking were no problem - close to convenience […] stores and restaurants, only downside was we went in and ou into the main city centre alot so plenty of walking was done - in the rain bu taxi was only 4pounds ea way! The second time we have stayed at this hotel recently and we weren't disappointed. Lovely comfortable room Nice en-suite facilities Staff who couln't do enough to help us. A 'must' for anyone visiting Belfast, looking for value for money.

I love this hotel and stay here regularly but pointed out some black residue on the shower head last time and when i stayed a few weeks later another room had the same basic hygiene issue. Dukes @ Queens is probably one of the better hotels around if you don't have to pay full rack rate. Rooms are good and well thought out, although the 'tech' iphone docs etc don't always work. If you want a good room and bathroom then it is ideal. Breakfast is good even if we did have an unfortunate incident there. If travelling at the weekend be […] aware that there is a pub/club attached to the hotel which can be a bonus but also can give out a bit of noise. Great price, gorgeous bed, staff are amazing. Only had a small problem with a few maintenance issues in the room caused by a previous guest.

Quiet during night, comfy bed, chatty receptionists. Relaxed, quiet bar. perfect for business or relaxing.

We were able to check in early, the hotel was beautiful, great location, and the breakfast was delicious! Couldn't have asked for a better hotel.

On street parking was the only complaint. Found it very difficult to find parking on one of the days I stayed, and ended up parking 3 blocks away (in the rain)

Great boutique hotel in a great location. Set in university area with lots of good restaurants and services nearby. Pleasant 20 minute walk to city center. Friendly staff, cooked-to-order breakfast, comfortable rooms. Make sure to visit Molly's Yard restaurant just around the corner for an amazing dinner and craft real ales.

Great location to stay if you are visiting queens or going to the new lyric theatre. Lots of good eateries close. We had the early bird menu at Yum just up the road from the theatre. Good food. Hotel quite despite busy location. very big room large flat screen tv.

This is the hotel you come to when you want sheer comfort, large beds to sink into with thick cosy quilts and an array of plump pillows. The TV is massive which means you can curl up in bed and watch your favourite programmes without have to squink your eyes. we had a wonderful time and would recommend this hotel to anyone. The front desk staff were all very helpful and friendly. The price and location were excellent. Additionally the food in the attached restaurant was phenomenal.

This hotel was wonderfully decorated, a short walk from the city center-shops and eating establishments, and the staff was very helpful. A light breakfast was included, but you could order from the menu if you wanted more. We received recommendations from the staff on day tours to the Giant's Causeway. This is a great hotel. One of the best I've ever stayed at. And to a low cost. Modern rooms, big TV-screen etc. etc.

So pleased we chose this hotel. Great location near Queens Uni buildings and Botanic Gardens + lots of restaurant choice very close by on Botanic Avenue. Easy access to centre too. Hotel rooms a good size and very comfortable with all mod cons. Liked the interesting bold decor in the main hotel areas. A great hotel with a bit of luxury!

Charming staff, 100% helpful, loved the room, good breakfast. They even packed us a take-away breakfast when our flight was really early to depart. If you are staying in this part of Belfast I recommend this hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights as a birthday trip and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and organised both the open top bus tour and the coach trip to giant's causeway which I highly recommend. It was a great way to see more of the Belfast countryside and was very informative. Sit on the right side of the coach […] for the best views! The causeway itself is amazing. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, with great facilities. The breakfast is delicious and was great when we had it for room service one morning. We also ate in the hotel restaurant one evening and it was fantastic. The city centre is within easy reach either on foot or a short taxi ride, and the immediate area is great for a variety of attractions. There are a few bars and restaurants down botanic avenue (good meal in Darcy's, and the Chubby Cherrub in town), and the botanical gardens are nice to stroll around. There's also the Ulster museum which was good but we didn't get long to spend in there unfortunately. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay, and I would highly recommend it. Les mer

We went to visit our daughter who is finishing a masters program at Queens University. The hotel was a right there at the University....perfect. The room was great and the bed was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

the hotel was great, only downside was the windows in bedroom are sealed .shut. i am used to sleeping with window open and therefore was uncomfortable with this. also wondered if this was regulation regarding fire etc.

Had a very pleasant stay at Dukes at Queens. The hotel staff were friendly and the room was excellent value. Our standard double room was modern (complete with IPod docking station), spotlessly clean, and very quiet. Of particular note was the lovely marble bathroom with a large walk-in shower (overhead rain-shower and hand-held hose) and separate bathtub, […] as well as the exceptionally comfortable king-size bed. Breakfast was fine, though we didn't opt for the cooked breakfast, so can't comment on that. Street-parking around the hotel was relatively easy to find. Overall, highly recommended. Les mer
