We like to stay in HIE when we are driving and not staying in a city. Free wifi, breakfast, convenient free parking, pool, gym, clean comfortable rooms. This one is in a safe neighborhood and by the interstate, though no restaurants in walking distance. There is a pretty good choice of places to eat withing 4-5 miles east and also south.

It was cold inside the hotel and felt like you was in the basement. It stated that they had a hot tub but never found or seen one. Are beds was not made so they need to improve on the house keeping staff!! I would rate this hotel from 1-10, They would get a solid 6.

We stayed in a luxury king suite, I definitly thought it would be larger. The hotel staff was very nice and they served a very yummy breakfast. It was clean but it small room for the price. We stayed in regular king room for less that was larger.

I did not plan sufficiently soon to get a room closer to Hershey Park because the AACA Fall Event sells out all the hotels near Hershey, but the room at Harrisburg west was just fine. It was 17 miles or so to Hershey, which I travelled 3 times in 2 days without any problems. Upon returning home, I called Lost & Found thinking I had left an item in the […] room. Later, I found the item and called back to apologize for asking the hotel staff to search for it. Both calls were handled professionally and graciously by the hotel's employees. Les mer

The bed was made so that the sheet and cover didn't even reach my shoulders. It made for a most uncomfortable night. Why would the bed be made that way?

nice hotel for family stay. clean, calm & good location. but while booking the hotel room it says microwave and refrigerator included. but there was no microwave and refrigerator inside the room.

Great hotel. It was a little out of the way from Hershey but worth the cleanliness and quiet. The staff was very friendly. The only drawback was the size of the pool. If you are traveling with kids and plan on using the pool it is very small and gets crowded fast.

When we checked into our hotel at 9:00 p.m., we were told our room wasn't ready. We could wait in the lobby or go up to the room anyway. We went up in an elevator that was covered in puddles from the pool. The room was in complete disarray because the bed had been stripped and the trashcans readied for removal, but everything was in piles in the middle […] of the floor. The manager at the front desk hadn't been either courteous or helpful, but the second manager who came up was much better. He helped the housekeeper make up the room, but he didn't know what to do at all, so he wasn't much help. The whole turnover took over an hour, so we weren't able to get comfortable until after 10:30 at night. The next morning, breakfast was similarly chaotic. The tables were all sticky and covered in other people's dishes that we had to remove ourselves. Most of the food chambers were empty (bagels, jams and syrups, butter) and there were no knives or spoons, so people had to keep looking for things at the front desk. A very clean establishment. It has the look of either being recently constructed or remodeled. I was very pleased with my 2 day stay.

Centrally located. The swimming pool is a bit small but other than that this is a great hotel.

Overall, was clean, bed bug free, and friendly service. Breakfast variety increased would've been nice, but it was free. Bathroom was dark, but we would stay there again. The most important thing is to be clean and have no bugs.Good price for stay and close to Hershey and Gettysburg.

Great refreshing hotel. Only a few years old. Nice country setting. All was great, except the room rate. Felt it was somewhat higher than what I expected from a Holiday Inn.

The hotel was great I moved my son there to attend college, my car was packed with all of his stuff, were i felt secure using their under the hotel parking area (garage).

The hotel counter staff was friendly, but not always available. The room was great! It was large (2 dbl beds and sleeper sofa); lot of floor space to move around easily; large fridge and ac woeked well. Close to Rt 15 but quiet w/ no road noise. Good business center, large lobby. Food was OK.

Completely disappointing. Our room was not cleaned the first 3 days of our stay. I called and told the front desk and was told after the second day that they were sorry and that we would get service immediately. We returned from Hershey park to a room that wasn't cleaned. I again called the front desk and was told a mgr would call the following morning. […] Of course no call was forthcoming. This was my first booking through hotels.com. My family and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days and we all loved it! My mom and my daughter were upset at first because there wasn't a hot tub but they quickly got over it because the pool is heated. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Everyone on the staff was very nice and polite and willing to help with anything we needed. We stay in Mechanicsburg […] a couple times a year and we would definately stay at this hotel again! Les mer

Hotel was nice. If you are going to Carlisle, they have underground secure parking for your show car. First come first serve.

The hotel was very nice. It was a great place to stay. Unfortunately one elevator was down so it took a while to get upstairs. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious :)

This is one of the best hotels. We reserve a king suite with pull out couch and the room is so inviting we could just stay there forever. Of course that is not what we are there for so we enjoy the tremendous breakfast and head to the very near attractions that we are there to see.

This seemed to be a fairly new hotel, so everything was very clean and up to date. The bed was comfortable for both my husband and myself. The hotel sits in the country-side conveniently off of Rt. 81 and the area was quiet and peaceful.

We liked the hotel very much, especially the large room, comfortable bed, pleasant personnel, and hot protein breakfast. The hotel is a very good value. Our only quibble is that we like to walk and there really is no place to do so where the hotel is located. But the pool and fitness center do offer alternatives.

I had a wonderful stay! I was in town for a training and really enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff were very helpful, and had lots of recommendations (and directions) for local restaurants.

This is without question the cleanest hotel of this price range I have stayed in. In addition the front desk staff were extremely friendly and professional. A friend travels to the Harrisburg area frequently for business and I recommended he stay here in the future.

booked last minute for emergency visit. convenient location, not too close to highway to be noisy. room right next to elevator, but didn't interfere with sleep. beds comfy, entire facility very clean, good breakfast-except for fake eggs. will definitely stay there again.

Nice and clean hotel in a quiet business park location right off of route 81. But, if you need 2 beds in one room, they only have full size beds not queen size. This makes it kind of small for 2 adult people in one bed.

I will not stay here again. Cleanliness standards are terrible. There was a dead bug on the bed (which had clearly been killed while on the bed) for both days that I stayed there. I got the impression that the staff does the bare minimum, they pulled the covers over the bed and didn't even empty the trash. The floors had not been vacumed or the floors […] swept, so it made me question if the sheets were changed, towels switched out, etc. Not a good location either - there are no good eating options close by. We found the hotel to be very clean, nice, and the staff hospitable. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was good and had plenty of variety. The area is lush and green. We would definitely stay here again.
