Four Points by Sheraton Punta Gorda Harborside - Punta Gorda

Only minus is that the pool backs to a busy street. As a base for other travels or business I dont see that as a minus, but if you have kids that want to spend a lot of time at the pool, there is some traffic noise.

Very comfortable hotel with a great tiki bar out near the water's edge. Rooms were clean & the hotel staff were (for the most part) friendly. 10 minute drive to the airport & overall a very good experience.

I would return to this hotel again. Really clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Ten minutes to Punta Gorda Airport. Yeah!!

Great hotel at the best location. The Tiki Bar at the hotel but on the water was a hopping and enjoyable place to relax and listen to the DJ play his music. We had a great time.

Sheraton has done an excellent job of remodelling this hotel.Great location with very helpful staff and good food.Lovely place to stay.

Lovely location - my room had a beautiful view of the harbor and Peace River. Too bad they didn't put in a little balcony for each room -sigh-. The room was very clean, all supplies stocked and the bed was very very good!

Hotel rooms served it's purpose well. Would have been nice to have a refrigerator, and the batteries in the TV remote were almost dead. Channels didn't change easily. Otherwise bed was cozy and walk-in shower was superb.

Very nice. Disappointed there was no refrigerator in room. Loved the sliding door to bathroom. Where can I purchase that slider hardware??? I'm not kidding. If that could be answered, I would be grateful :-)

We loved the beauty of the hotel....the service was great..it did have piped in music which was annoying....the rooms were very beautiful in their design and we had a view of the harbor. The sound proofing was excellent also.

This hotel may not be the lowest priced hotel in Punta Gorda but in my opinion, it is the best value for the price in terms of service, maintenance, cleanliness and comfort.

We go to Port Charlotte for spring training every year. Punta Gorda is close and has the nicest amenities. The Sheraton is very reasonably priced, within a VERY short walking distance of many really fine restaurants. Rooms are nice, view of the marina is pleasing (as long as you are above the 2nd floor where the roof of the portico can block your view). […] My husband wanted dessert when we got back from dinner. He went to the restaurant and brought a big sundae to the room. They charged him $3! Other people told us the restaurant itself was very good. Maybe next time we will try it. Les mer

This is a very well cared for and comfortable hotel. It's conveniently situated next to the Tamiami Trail (Hwy.41) which allows quick and easy access to most major points of interest in Southwest Florida. Our room was very clean with an attractive nautical decor. I loved the port-hole window in the bathroom door. Great idea! We had a great view of the […] harbour, marina and park to the east. One of the highlights of our one night stay was a visit to the Tiki Bar down by the river. It's a terrific place to people watch and see the sun set (and they make a mighty fine margarita) The front desk staff are excellent to deal with. Although arrangements had been made for an early morning pick-up for us, the taxi was unfortunately a no-show. The woman at the front desk, while dealing with an angry client who was complaining about hotel membership points, quickly and calmly arranged for another taxi from a different company. We were whisked away to the airport in a very timely fashion. Poise under pressure.....thank-you for that. Les mer

The hotel was clean, but the room we stayed in had bare bones facilities, much like a dorm room or low-end state room. There were no drawers to put clothes in, just open shelves under the window seats. The bathroom door was suspended from a bracket and just slid over the opening offering only visual privacy. No towel racks, no counter space, If you […] opt to not have the linens changed daily, you will be given $5 incentive at the in-house restaurant, but then they do not even empty trash cans or restock coffee supplies. Nice new hotel which was very clean and smartly decorated. Beds were very comfortable, no noise disturbances and AC worked great. Within walking distance to historic area of Punta Gorda (which is very small), including antique shops, consignment shops, little art galleries, and a few bars and restaurants. From check-in till departure, everything was PERFECT! I have never been to a hotel as warm and welcoming as Four Points Punta Gorda Harborside. NEVER! Rooms were sparkling clean and the hotel restaurant staff and food were outstanding. Loved the band and scenary at the tiki bar, too! We will definitely stay again when in the area!

Overall our stay at this hotel met our expectations for a Sheraton hotel. The only glitch was that there was no coffee available in the early morning on our departure day. My husband was told it would be out in a minute or two. He waited 10 minutes before returning to our room. Hotel room was not "habor view" as stated unless you count the small glimpse of the harbor barely visable through the trees across the high traffic bridge. Room was near the ice machine which woke us up several times through the night.The "cocktail lounge" consists of a tiny bar visible to everyone passing through the lobby, checking in, or dining in […] their only restaurant, including families with children. This hotel had just about everything you could want for the cost. Very clean, smelled amazing, room decor is creative and welcoming, and the staff was great. I was in a king room and the bed had 4 large, high quality pillows. Shower had impressive pressure and flow rate. Very pleased with hotel and staff. However after having an excellent dinner we had an awful overpriced breakfast. The potatoes were old and cold. The bacon was tissue thin and of course not capable of retaining heat. As a result we recommended that our friends not eat breakfast in your establishment.

Fabulous experience, the staff is incredible, the food is far superior to most 5-star hotels, all-in-all just a wonderful place. Highly recommended. Try the Chicken-Walnut Salad with Sweet Onion Dressing . . . Mmmmmm
