Had a great 3 night stay at the Indigo hotel downtown! I travel a lot and would say the hotel should have 4stars for sure! The room was big, modern with ipod dock, espresso maker etc. Great location because you can walk everywhere! Would stay here again for sure....

There were hairs in the bed. There was an earring on the floor which almost pierced my foot. The room temperature would get very hot then the air conditioner would turn on very loudly, waking us up, and then would turn off and then the cycle would continue. The TV worked only sporadically. There were hardly any room amenities.

The location of the hotel was great, the rooms were nice, and the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies were incredibly tasty. We were initially placed in a room where we could hear every word of our neighbor's conversation. When we called, they were very accommodating and quickly moved us to another room. We stayed at several hotels across the country the week we styed at hotel indigo. Our favorite above all was the hotel indigo, it was within walking distance to downtown Nashville, the valet service was excellent and the rest of the staff were so nice. The rooms were very nice in a hip, cool way. The live music in the bar added an excellent touch.

i enjoyed the new indigo. i had stayed at the other one on west end a few times and really enjoyed that. it was close to vanderbilt where my daughter was in school. the atmosphere of the new indigo was really nice and i like that you could get an actual real breakfast.

I loved this hotel. Our service was exceptional. I thought the price was a little high but we were there during Rock & Roll Marathon weekend & the rates are high all downtown this particular weekend. I will definetly stay there again!

We stayed just one night in a large bright corner room, but we were very fortunate that it was "re-launch" night just after new owners renovated this historic hotel. So we enjoyed cocktails & finger foods, plus got to chat with the owners and management. As you would expect the staff were all on "best behaviour".. ALL staff from check in onwards were […] superb! Our room was "modern Spartan" ... clean but "functionalist minimal" .. some will love it ... others will appreciate a warmer more traditional tone (but that's not what this hotel is seeking). We had so much fun! The hotel was cool, clean and comfy! My only negative comments was about hotel security. I was with my husband so I felt safe, but if I was traveling alone I would have been more concerned. Please implement key card requirement for the exterior and/or elevator.

Everything was perfect, staff is amazing, food was way above typical hotel restaurant food, live music is lobby was great. Door guys super friendly and helpful and walking distance to great bars and nightlife.

Not as convenient as I would have liked. Definitely closer to business and courthouse. Hilton was closer to restaurants and nightlife. Not bad for a different flair. Room had NO immenities. No shampoo, lotion, newspaper, water, nothing. For $260 it could have been better. Hilton and Doubletree a much better value.

For $200 a night I expect an elevator that works, a bar that stays open past 10pm and valet workers who don't call my husband "bro". The room was hip and very clean but the overall experience wasn't great.

Loved the Hotel Indigo! Nearby multiple sites and easy access to the nightlife. Just know that the walk home is uphill! The room was beautiful, the staff was helpful, and I could not have asked for more!

Great location, good music on site, reasonable rates. Found some room service trays sitting in hall for extended times, but overall cleanliness was good.

Wonderful staff and excellent location for a Ryman Auditorium show. I picked the Hotel Indigo because of personal recommendation and the dog friendly appeal. Lulu, my Boston Terrier, was treated very well, and she gives a four-paw approval.

Hotel is in the middle of remodelling and the clutter is expected. Unfortunately, our room was already finished with the remodel and I think they missed the mark. The room is very cold and antiseptic. The bathroom still showed signs of age and distress around the edges. Also, the bathroom, especially the shower were not very clean. Wanted to love this hotel. Staff was great from the moment we arrived. One note: there are no dressers at all in the rooms. Basically you can use the nightstand drawer but thats about it. Main issue we had was that our tower had two elevators. One had an obviously old sign "out of order". It was obvious it hasn't been working in sometime. During our […] stay the only other elevator also went out of order so you had to walk up and down up to 12 flights of stairs. That's a long walk up late on a saturday night. The hotel didn't offer any discounts, credits or anything. Just a simple "yes it's not working". They tried fixing it but being down an entire night is unacceptable. Other than that that issue, it's a short walk to Broadway and things to do. Good staff and comfy beds. Les mer

Not impressed by the decor - the hotel has used "Modern" as an excuse to be cheap. Lack of attention to details was evident in cleanliness of hotel and our room.

Yes, hotel is being renovated. No, I should not be given a room where at least four wall decorations were missing and the hangers and anchor bolts where the items were were still on the walls (and a hazard if someone came in contact with them). There were pieces of drywall everywhere...in the hallways, in my room, you name it. Let's not forget the short […] staffed situation, having to call down to the front desk repeated times to get someone to answer their phone, and waiting for room service lunch to arrive from 1:30 to 3:00 PM. And they gave my prepaid room away after I called them regarding my late arrival..did I mention that? Two bright spots...two young bellmen hustled their butts off on Sunday. We were there for the US Womens Soccer game at LP stadium. It's within walking distance and we felt safe walking there and back. The hotel location is in the heart of Nashville and the singer in the bar on Wednesday nite was fantastic.

This hotel has a lot of potential but was under construction for renovations during our visit. Therefore, check -n desk was a little desk crowded into a small lobby right at the elevator. The dining room/bar/restaraunt was about 60 x 20 feet of space with little 2-person bistro tables. The rooms are very nice, though somewhat small and modern in design. […] The old building has a lot of charm and what we could see of the new construction looks like it will be very lovely when complete. I don't recommend a stay untill construction is complete sometime in March/April 2013. It is a great location in downtown Nashville, close to great restaraunts and the convention center and the aren and stadium. Everything within 3-6 blocks. Les mer

They were renovating so I am sure there were things that we couldn't experience about the hotel. Overall the staff were really nice and very helpful. The room was clean but very small even though we upgraded to their executive suite.

The hotel was located just a few blocks away from the downtown area which made it a great place to stay since we did not have a car during our visit. It was an easy walk to the country music hall of fame and musuem, ryman auditorium, lp field, and tons of bars and restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Very nice hotel in an older building. Convenient to sights. Remodeling lobby/meeting/restaurant areas and it looked pretty bad when we walked in but couldn't tell it once go to our floor. Room a little small but bed very comfortable. No closet, but really cool wardrobe cabinet. Would definately stay here again.

The Hotel failed to be listed as under construction as another less expensive and nicer option did and so we felt duped into staying at this hotel with no lobby and a desk in a hallway next to the elevator as check-in. The location was great for easy access to downtown and LP Field. The lobby looked like a construction zone, which is understandable while you are renovating, but they need to do a better job of closing off areas under construction. In addition, we booked a room with 2 double beds. We were told at check in that there were no rooms with double beds available. […] We had to stay in a room with one King bed. I have mixed thoughts on Hotel Indigo. It was in a great location. It was within walking distance to LP Field and downtown Broadway St which was nice. The room was also great. Very clean, great shower, and one of the best beds for a hotel. Super comfy! However, the hotel staff was a BIG dissapointment. There was no concierge/staff as you walked in through […] the side doors which were directly in front of our elevator. It was dangerous; someone could have walked off the street and onto the elevator without any staff seeing them. We also tried to order room service one morning after speaking with the front desk/room service staff people four times. After an hour, when we called to check up on our food, our order hadn't been been started so we told them nevermind! Hotel is under construction but that should not affect the quality and quantity of their staff. Very disappointing. Les mer

We picked the hotel based on location and the hotel bar but hotel was under renovations, so no bar/restaurant . We wanted a room with 2 beds that they were unable to give us. Walls were beyond paper thin. Door to room had an open inch at bottom which helped with allowing more noise into room. Location was perfect for walking places. Hotel lobby is under construction...lots of dust and noise. We were accommodated with an early check-in and were grateful for the staff that assisted our party. Decor is modern but showing wear in the older building, hopefully the construction will provide a fresh face to the hotel.

So much potential. Pleasing and quick check-in. Service was either fantastic, or horrific. Television was a constant source of frustration. Perfect Location to all Music City Attractions. Exceptional Cuisine for an extremely under valued price. Hefty charge for parking, but we never needed the car while we were there, so it was a great asset. Scared […] that I might have brought home some athletes foot from the shower, bed bugs from the linens, or some other foot fungus from the 75 year old flooring. I think I would stay here again if desperate, but would pay more for the Hilton if available. Les mer

Everyone at the hotel was very nice and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They had excellent mattresses, clean and quiet rooms, we slept very well. The only negative was the the Starbucks was closed while we were there, but that's not the fault of the hotel.
