Morehampton Townhouse - Dublin

Had 2 3-night stays in the Morehampton Lodge recently. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered to keep food in the fridge for me, and allow me to use the reception telephone to receive a call (there are NO telephones in the rooms). There is plenty choice of places to eat in Donnybrook and frequent bus services to town. However, on my […] last night there, something kept fusing half the electricity in the room (bedside lamp, tv, kettle etc.). The main light, bathroom light continued to work. The staff's reaction to the problem was >! Instead of attempting to locate the faulty appliance, their solution was to take me out onto the first floor landing and show me the fuse box so if the tv went off again, I could flick the switch myself and get it back on! Attended Dublin for a conference at the Burlington hotel. This hotel had a great location for me - 10 mins walk only. Stayed alone and had a big comfy double bed and ensuite for a fantastic price. Wifi in the room, free! Could not recommend enough!!

great hotel/lodge look forward to staying again

Dirty carpet, Lumpy bed, The Shower overflowed, spider in the room, The room smelled bad... didn't sleep well, was terrible , i am sorry to say all this but its true, the only nice thing was a big TV on the wall...

I was well looked after at the Morehampton Townhouse. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with varaities you would not expect in a hotel of its class. The bathroom was new but the rest of my room was quite old. The only thing I disliked was that I could not open the window, Otherwise it was a most enjoyable stay.

Great location, this hotel was a youth hostel in a previous life which I think still remains present today. Breakfast was very reasonable the staff helpfull and polite and I would recommend it to others on price for an overnight stay

Clean guest house located a few kilometers from city centre. Well appointed rooms. Quiet location. Continental breakfast was good value. Only negative was reception on check in could have been more helpful to point out nearby facilities.

This was a cute little townhouse and fits the bill for the price. Staff was very friendly and ensured when we arrived early from a long flight that we could access our room by 11:30 am, well before check in and we did. Location was perfect, accessible to Air Coach and all bus lines into City Center (Bus Route 46A is the key). Also, within walking distance […] to Herbert Park, coffee shops, an upscale market (Donny Brook Fair) and great little local pub called McKloskey's. The only downside was our bed was not comfortable (Room 12). The mattress was uneven and very worn. Morehampton should consider replacing it; otherwise great place for the price if you're not expecting anything too fancy. Les mer

We spent 4 nights at the Morehampton Townhouse and found it was very easy to enjoy a meal in the neighborhood or take a bus a few stops into the center. This hotel is on a direct line for the airport shuttle buses, like AirCoach, meaning that getting to and from the airport is a breeze. Our only complaint about the room is that, in a building constructed […] 160 years ago, it was strange to have a dirty drop ceiling above our heads in our room. The rest of the hotel retains a lot of the old charm. The staff was very accommodating with anything we needed, including logistical advice. Bed was a little hard and springy, but all in all, a pleasant place to stay. Les mer

Beautiful leafy area of Dublin that is at least 25 minute walk to the city centre (and I'm a fit (runner) and fast walker in sneakers!) Well-looked after rooms; basic, but perfectly functional. Nothing fancy, for sure. The Cafe Java across the street is fantastic, as is Khan's Indian food further down Donnybrooks. This townhouse was a pleasant Bed and Breakfast convenient to all amenities. Only problem was that the parking facilities were poor.

Positives: -clean -free parking -nice staff -nice room Negatives: -All staff was busy in the morning helping with breakfast so it took awhile to check out -HARD to find- it took us 2 hours to find the place.

Clean, comfortable and great value. I was at a conference 10 minutes down the road so it was ideally located. I can't comment on it's proximity to the city centre as I didn't have time to visit!

Great location and very convenient to town. Room was comfortable and spacious. Tv however did not work in room though.

Stayed with my wife in Dubin on a romantic "weekend" (sat-tue). The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and breakfast nice (buffet). The buiding it self is old but it bid not bother us. The bus from and to the airport stoped right outside of the hotel and the bus to the centre of Dublin was also very easy to catch. Very good location for not beeing […] in the centre of Dublin. If visiting Dublin again this hotel would be my first choise. Les mer

It's a simple place, not really a hotel, but it's clean and totally acceptable for the price if you are a low budget traveler. 25 min walk to the center, but there are also busses running. Direct bus connection to the airport, 8€ one-way. The girls at the reception are very friendly and helpful.

udmærket hotel til prisen, fin morgenmad, dog er parkeringsforholdene ikke gode. parkeringen i baggården er for ringe. rampen er ikke egnet til nedkørsel, da kanterne er for høje og derved med høj risiko for at ødelægge sin bil. bedre parkeringsforhold : så vil det hæve standarden gevaldigt.
