We enjoyed our stay. There were many soccer teams in residence and I was concerned about possible noise, but it is a large building and in the area we stayed everything was quiet. If I am in the area, I would definitely stay there again.

It is important to understand that this is a college residence facility. We didn't know that when we made the reservation. Problems: This was a one night stop over for us. It is not entirely convenient in terms of location - quite a bit off the 401, and even further off the ETR, and it is not easy to find. The rooms are spartan, only slightly better […] than a college dorm room, and the beds are not of a high quality. Plusses: However, it was quite clean. There is a small kitchenette included, and two bedrooms, in each suite. The tiny refrigerator was an unexpected pleasure for us, as we needed to refrigerate some food following a longer than expected drive. If you don't mind spartan, or if you need two rooms or a small kitchenette, you can't beat the price. Les mer
"Nothing fancy; a good place to rest your head."
Being in town for a wedding meant that we were busy all throughout our stay. The R&C centre's purpose was just to have a place to rest our heads between our action packed days, and it served that purpose quite well. Certainly, this is not a luxury hotel and only the barest of amenities were provided, but it was perfect for our intent and at a very […] reasonable price. The rooms were well maintained, clean, and the neighbourhood was quiet. The staff was friendly and unafraid to help us whenever we needed it; whether it was for scissors, directions, or recommendations, they were also on the ball. Some might complain about the continental breakfast, but I didn't find it bad. There was an unlimited supply of juice, coffee, cereal, muffins, toast, and fruit. One can purchase the option to add "hot food" to your breakfast for a small price, in case the aforementioned goods don't do it for you. The only odd thing about the R&C centre is that the surrounding streets are poorly labeled, if they're labeled at all. Commencement drive does not have a street sign and Simcoe was not labeled when approaching from Conlin. Having a GPS was handy, but it was obvious when we were in the campus region so it wouldn't have been to hard in any case. I would recommend this for people on a budget, who aren't looking for anything fancy. As part of the university/Durham college, it has to maintain high standards of cleanliness and good service, but still supplies everything one would expect from a hotel. I wouldn't honeymoon there, but I'd definitely go back in the future. Les mer

Given that the rate was very inexpensive I did not know what to expect when I got there but I have to admit it was extremely clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
"Great for the Price"
Good points are cost, cleanliness and the fact that each unit has two separate bedrooms - so you can close the door to your room and have added sound-proofing & privacy. If you close your bedroom door and want to add the extra soundproofing of wearing earplugs - noise levels are not an issue. You can go to way more expensive hotel and still be disturbed […] by noisy neighbours - so I don't see this as a factor. The place is very clean and well kept and close location to Toronto activities. Contintental breakfast is included - don't show up at last minute -not much left. Les mer

Un peu compliquer à trouver, mais bel hotel. Batiment tout neuf, bon accueil. L'hotel correspond plus à une auberge de jeunesse, les chambres étant aménagées en "suites".
