Vi var 2 venninner som bodde på Ibis Holloway i 3 netter. Vi valgte hotellet fordi det var billig og det nærmeste hotellet til 02 Academy hvor vi skulle på konsert. Vi hadde ingen store forhåpninger til standarden på hotellet, men ble positivt overrasket. Store og åpne rom, god seng(vi hadde dobbelseng), stort bad og rengjøringen var bra. Hotellet er vel nesten et "motell", da alle rom har egen dør ut parkeringsplassen, men dette var bare positivt. Resepsjonen var veldig pen, og resepsjonistene var hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Maten kan jeg ikke kommentere, da vi ikke hadde inkludert frokost de dagene vi var der, men menyen viste at det var et godt utvalg 24 timer i døgnet. Sentralt beliggende, med gåavstand til New Street Station, Bullring Shopping centre, Broad Street og det meste Birmingham har å by på. Anbefales for alle som trenger et sentralt hotell i Birmingham!

"Eaton Hotel - Great days and nights away"
Hotel welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. Room had usual home comforts to a high standard. Bathroom facilities very good with a powerful shower. Dining room pleasant on the eye and staff welcoming and efficient. Food was to a high standard with plenty of choice. Hotel reception very obliging anf friendly. Will come here again.

"Lovely hotel friendly staff"
Really lovely comfy hotel great staff. Only problem is soundproofing not brilliant fellow guests a bit noisy on the night we stayed.

"Great choice"
With all the choice on Hagley Road this has to be the best option. Well maintained, modern and smart. Lovely restaurant and bar area. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Only complaint might be that the rooms are too hot (there was no heating on). But there was a fan supplied which we used so they are obviously aware of this. You can park here and there's […] a direct and frequent bus to town and lolads of taxis available. We will definitely choose this hotel again. Les mer
"Eaton Hotel, Hagley road, Birmingham"
My only complaints were that the room, at the top of the hotel, was stuffy and inadequately ventilated. The traffic noise was loud with the window open and the window wouldn't open properly either. Safety device! Oh, and that some parts of the hotel looked as if they could do with redecoration. Overall the room was of an adequate size, the bed was […] comfortable, the TV was quite good, the room was well enough lit and the bathroom and shower (no bath) were good. Breakfast was excellent, well worth an 8 out of 10 on my very stringent scale. Breakfast finished at 9:30 and they were rather quick to clear away, but I expect this is in keeping with the reasonable price for the room. Dining in the hotel restaurant in the evening was an enjoyable experience. The food was of a reasonably high standard, well presented and very good value for money. The wine, a Pouilly-Fuissé, was quite decent although perhaps slightly expensive. I would return to the hotel, although not if the weather was very warm. Les mer
"Not bad, but not great."
Stayed here overnight in April with another adult, after reading reviews on this website. The hotel is small, but is relatively modern. The hotel room was small, although it was recently modernised. We asked for a king size bed but were given a double. The breakfast was good, with decent selection. Overall, not great hotel, but not bad either.

This small hotel on a main trunk road into and out of Birmingham is a hidden gem. The hotel is excellent in all ways from the quality of the rooms to the home cooked meals including an excellent table served full British breakfast. Difficult to fault in any way. "Well worth a short hop out of the centre"
We chose this hotel because compared to staying in the centre it was a bargain with breakfast included and ample free parking, and I'd read nothing but good reviews. We actually walked into town which took about 40 mins, and it's a doddle to navigate by bus. The hotel is really lovely - modern, clean, high quality, and the bed very comfortable. The […] staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the huge selection at breakfast was excellent. The shower in our room was fantastically powerful, I didn't want to get out! The only criticism I have it that the coffee at breakfast was incredibly weak (and I'm not a fan of strong coffee). I think I was mostly disappointed by this because of my hangover! The service was personal, cheerful and always helpful. We would recommend the Eaton to anyone with business to do in Edgbaston/Harborne.
"Good for city centre and university"
We used this hotel for a university reunion. It's also within 20 minutes walk of the Gas Street Basin complex. Room was a bit too warm, but was surprisingly quiet despite facing Hagley Road. If you want an even quieter room ask for one at the back. Breakfast was excellent with very friendly staff.

"Eaton Hotel, Hagley Road"
We stayed at the Eaton on the night of our friends wedding. We checked in at about 7pm, and then returned at about 1am. There is a 24 hour reception. When we left to return to the wedding, the receptionist called a taxi for us, which promptly arrived about 2 minutes later! The hotel is spotlessly clean, and all of the staff that we encountered were […] very friendly, and helpful. The only downsides are that the rooms don't have air conditioning, and if you get a room at the front of the hotel, it could be quite noisy. (This does depend on your tolerance of night time noise - I live in a little village, and my tolerance is fairly low! Hagley Road is a road into the centre of town, so therefore there is a reasonable amount of traffic through the night). The other downside is that there are a lot of stairs in the hotel. There is a lift, but once out of the lift, there are generally 3 or 4 steps to the rooms. The breakfast was good, with a pretty much endless supply of juices, cereals, tea and coffee. There was a choice of an English breakfast or a continental breakfast. Both of which looked good. Overall, a good hotel, reasonable rates, helpful staff! Les mer
The hotel is very close to the town centre and has plenty of parking at the front and rear of the building, there are regular buses and the taxi's are reasonable, the receptionists were all very friendly and extremely helpful with directions etc about the local area, the room was light and airy with a very clean and modern look, the bed was very comfortable […] which was turned down every day and a change of towels, the shower always had hot water this was also really nice, on the first morning for breakfast we both had the full english which was filling and tasty but on the second morning I decided to have the continental that was a big mistake there was hardly any choice of pastries and only cheddar cheese which was quite a shock, there was still a good three quarters of an hour to go but it was like they couldnt be bothered to refill anything and the staff were flapping and not very organised, also one of the waitresses was quite rude, one of my pet hates, but on a whole we really enjoyed our stay and would definately stay here again.
