I forbindelse med en messe i April gikk valget på Richforest Taipei etter vurdering av mange anmeldelser på forskjellige hoteller. Totalt sett syntes vi dette var et meget bra hotell: Meget god service på hotellet, resepsjonistene reiser seg hver gang du kommer inn i resepsjonen (noe som kjennetegner den høflige kulturen i Taiwan, fine rom med gode senger. Hvis jeg skal være veldig kritisk, så vil jeg sette en liten minus på frokost. Litt dårlig utvalg i pålegg som f.eks egg, bacon og kjøttpålegg. Det er også et stykke å gå til Metro`n, men siden taxi er så billig og du slipper å vente mer enn 1 minutt, spiller dette liten rolle for de fleste. Dette hotellet kan anbefalen. Dette hotellet bodde vi på etter å ha backpacket hele taiwan. Vi hadde en lang strabasiøs reise, spesielt på slutten da vi ble tatt av en tyfon og vi sjekket ikke inn på hotellet før 2300... det var ikke noe problem og det "101-view" rommet vi fikk var utrolig flott. 13 etasje med Taipei 101 MIDT i vinduet. Første gang bildene på nettet faktisk ikke lyver. Meget meget bra å bare vorse på hotellrommet med lysene slukket og kikke på tårnet i mørket. Hotellet er dyrt (dyreste hotellet vi hadde hele turen) men du får bra med service. Hvis du skal bo der må du få et rom med 101 view og du må være litt flink å finne gatekjøkkenene i området. Noen er dårlige, noen hadde de beste stekte nudlene jeg noensinne har smakt......

Du får forsåvidt mye for pengene her. Hotellet ligger svært sentralt i forhold til alle severdigheter Taipei har å by på. T-bane stasjon like ved. Frokosten er ikke noe å hoppe i taket over... Særdeles hjelpsomme resepsjonister. Ligger 2 meget gode og morsomme restauranter like ved i samme gate. Vi bodde her de 2 første nettene før vi fortsatte rundt hele øyen. En bra start i Taipei.

"Verdt prisen"
Vi valgte hotellet først og fremst på grunn av beliggenhet til lufthavn men også på bakgrunn av positive anmeldelser. Vi ble ikke skuffet. Store, rene og moderne rom med det meste av fasiliteter, bra buffet (litt dyr i forhold til hva ting koster i Taipei men ikke dyrt i forhold til europeisk nivå) og vennlige og behjelpelige resepsjonister som snakket […] godt engelsk (ikke en selvfølge i Taiwan). "god choice as a transit hotel"
Room was very clean, of reasonable size. Sound proofing is good, friendly staff. Very convenient if arriving late or with young children. Hotel restaurant serves food but limited choices. Overall a very good choice if you need a quick rest after a long flight.
Great for one night on a stop over but the room was quite small for a deluxe upgrade.
Nice hotel, convenient to airport (between runway threshholds but noise not an issue for me). The hotel is <5 minutes away from the airport and has shuttle buses that takes you to and from the airport. This makes the hotel a convenient place to stay the day before departure since the Taipei city is ~1 hour away from the airport. There are no restaurants or attractions within walking distance, but the hotel offers shuttle buses to the nearest […] night market and shopping plaza. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel. This airport hotel has no direct access from the airport unlike e.g. Novotel at Bangkok airport. One has to take a shuttle bus that takes about 5 minutes but one waits 30 minutes in drafty, polluted outdoor conditions without seating. The hotel bus is old and has seen better days. It locates nearby terminals, it is convienient that if you have to catch the early morning fight at the Taoyuan international.It is opposit if you like to visit Taipei Metros area, because it is 90 minutes ride.The staff of the hotel and the commute service were great.

"One of the best airport hotels out there"
Every time I fly into Taipei I spend at least a night here. Efficient service, free shuttle to/from the nearby terminal and the high speed rail station. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. Great choice of Asian, American and Continental breakfast. You can find cheaper alternatives in the area, but nothing beats the convenience of this hotel.

Nothing to complain about. Got upgraded to an executive suite for free. Great room with tons of fascilities, wonderfull design and a big panda bear on the couch waiting for us!

Used the hotel as an overnight stay for a flight from Shanghai to Malaysia. Location very convenient with shuttle bus from airport to hotel which takes only a few minutes. Don't expect too much with close by surroundings, but the facilities in the hotel are sufficient to kill the time. We went for evening buffet which was nice and seems to be a favorite […] for the Taiwanese. I can recommend this hotel certainly for business travellers, but not for a long stay vacation in Taiwan, as it is too remote. In the morning be on time for check-out, we had a big group in front of us, but the staff was quite efficient, so we could catch our shuttle bus for which it is important to book a seat. Just 5 min. from airport by hotel bus. Clean and comfort.
We were referred by a friend to stay at Novotel. Our experience there was very disappointing. The check in clerk was not at all helpful. The service was very unfriendly and rude. Sherry was the employee that checked us in. She was untrustworthy. We arrived after a 14 hours flight to find out at the hotel reservation was messed up. Our brother didn't […] have a room because China Airline didn't book enough room for us. Sherry told us that she can get us a room but we will be responsible for the cost. We told her to get us the room and that China Airline would pay for it since they have created the error. After she spoke to the China Airline agent, she twisted the story and told us that there was no room left. She was dishonest and were not helpful to a group of first time guest at this hotel. With the service that we have received, we would not come back to this hotel nor recommend it to anyone. Les mer

We booked Novotel Taoyuan because we were arriving in Taipei around midnight with young kids and seniors. Hotel was near airport and had free shuttle. We were happy with our stay. A suggestion though, is that the hotel be flexible with timing with shuttle service for larger groups. Although we made a request before hand, we were told that shttle runs […] on schedule. Spend 1 night to catch the early morning flight out. Hotel room is excellent, clean and comfortable, indoor swimming pool with suana and huge gym. Wide spread of breakfast but not fantastic. Free shuttle bus to airport is convenient. The only bad point is the hotel location. If you don't mind the location, it is a very good hotel to stay.

modern and first rated facility. The noise of taking off were there but tolerable. The shuttle bus to and from airport is every 30 minute,a little too long. The best way to go to Taipei is through the high speed rail.

I choose this hotel because it's the nearest to airport and it really gave me more than that. Other than free shutter to the airport they provide free shutter to the Taiwan High Speed Railway which made it very convenient for me to travel far to the North or South Taiwan easily. Their services are great and friendly, they are really 24/7 there for […] you when you need them. I requested and they allowed me to keep one of my luggage in the hotel for two days before my stay two days there. Saved me cost of keeping the luggage in airport or some stations and assure that my luggage is safe in the hotel waiting for me when I travel. The down side of this hotel is that if you want a cheap meal or buy some daily-use (at somewhere like 7-11) you need to travel out because there are no convenient store of any kind that you can walk 10 minutes to (or i should say there's no shop around). The hotel do provide those services if you do not mind paying premiums. Traveling by public transport is still easy and free or at times cost only a few. Highly recommended if you are very new to Taiwan and you prefer to be safe and convenience. Les mer

Superb hotel, only 2 years old, so rooms and facilities are top notch. Only 5 minutes from the airport with a free shuttle. Also they offer free bookable shuttle to nearby High Speed Rail station (20 minutes to Taipei main station), plus local area shuttle available. Food excellent (buffet style) and a bar on premises. We stayed at an airport hotel as we had an early flight to Hong Kong in the morning. This hotel rates 10/10 on the 'gorgeous' scale, particularly at this price range. The hotel is new, the rooms lovely while being functional - the bed was super comfortable. There is a pool and gym... and a business lounge to relax in as well as a choice of restaurants. […] The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The shuttle from the airport and high speed rail station stops at this hotel and costs pennies; super convenient. If you need to be in the airport area to catch an early flight next morning, staying at an airport hotel seems to be a wise choice. I chose Novotel Taoyuan was for the above reason. It turned up to be a right choice. Free hotel shuttle brought us to and from the airport and the hotel. It was handy. It was only 10 minutes ride from the airport to the […] hotel. We stayed there for a night and did not go out of the hotel. The Chinese restaurant inside the hotel on the first floor is quite good, price-wise and food quality-wise.
