The hotel is great for a short stay between flights. I arrived in BKK at 01:00 AM and had a connecting flight to HKT at 10:00 AM. I needed a place to just sleep it off and be fresh for my holiday. The hotel is close to the airport. 10 mins by cab. The airport shuttle provided by the hotel is great and a cheaper option compared to a public taxi

This hotel has a great location to the international airport, so it's a good choice if you are coming from somewhere else in Thailand like we were, and have an early flight out in the morning and just need a place to rest your head. The staff was very nice and friendly. The free shuttle to the airport was a nice bonus (though the driver was very pushy […] about a tip). The restaurant was open late with a good selection, and the food was good. The room was certainly adequate for the price. Our only gripe was that no matter what we did to the air conditioner, turned the temp down, turned the fan on high etc., it just would not cool down the room. Since it was late and we were only there for the night, we didn't bother with trying to switch rooms or complain. We would stay there again, but this time make sure before we settled in that the A/C worked properly. Les mer

The hotel is very good, however, it does not have any of the major tourist attractions near it. I did not see any tuk-tuks running in this area, just the metered taxis. The hotel is near Lat Krabong station, which is close to Suvarnabhumi, but all the attractions are near Rachaprarop and Siam Stations which takes around 30-40 minutes via metro train. […] Offers on hotels.com do not include breakfast, however it is available at the hotel for 200 THB per person. Hiring a 1 day cab around the city will cost you around 1600-1800 THB, However, I would suggest you take a metered taxi and change it at every destination, since you will spend 2-3 hrs roaming around at each destination and you will not fully utilize the rented cab. The swimming pull at the hotel is great, hard to find one in the middle of the city in this area. The pool access rooms are the best ones. The hotel also has a pool table, restaurant and wi-fi inetrent, all chargeable. The air-condition in the rooms is a bit tricky, and does not seem to work well. I've stayed at quite a few hotels around the airport and for the money this has been the best. It happened that their van was at the airport loading other guests as I arrived so I was to the hotel in less than 10 min of walking out of customs. Reception was efficient. For the money paid, this hotel is quite nice! It is close to restaurants, and just a 10 minute ride to and from the airport. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The only thing that would be a negative, is the lack or free wifi internet. With free internet this hotel would rate a 5 in my book!

This is one of the best overnight hotels near the airport... a welcome surprise. Upkeep is good, rooms are clean and wester style bathrooms. Staff was very helpful. It's 5 minutes from the airport. For the money... you cant ask for a better hotel for a quick overnight.

Stayed one night before an early flight out and thought the Cottage looked really good in the pictures. Granted it was very inexpensive but we never got a pool view as we booked but an empty dumpy yard . Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Room was very budget. Fine for just one stay and for sleep only.

Great hotel for people who only stay overnight in Bangkok and have early flight the next day. Hotel shuttle to airport was great. Room was large , I used room service and was happy. Good value for money, can't complain room was clean and secure.

Well, not what I expected. Happy and friendly greeting initially but upon departure they didn't even want to open the door to assist us in leaving. The room is small dark and needs serious upkeep and renovation. I accidentally went to my room on the wrong floor and opened up another hotel room with my room key. Apparently, the room key can open up anyone's […] room. There is no room safe so you had better carry all important documents and money with you even when you go to the meager breakfast. Spend a little more money and seek alternative accommodations. This would be comparable to a low class Motel 6 out in the desert with one option restaurant. Les mer

We stayed during the day whilst waiting for our flight and it was perfect as it was quiet and we could sleep easily without disturbance. The hotel is handy for the airport with a free shuttle on the hour. It is basic as the price would suggest, but clean and tidy with helpful and friendly staff. Not a great choice, even if you only need to spend one night before or after a flight. They do provide transportation to and from the airport, but the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and the rooms are tiny and uncomfortablee. Doors do not close or lock automatically, so you have to push a button on the knob every time you open or close the door to […] lock it. I arrived at airport at 11:00PM and connecting flight was 12 hours later.The cottage was just what I needed. airport pickup was 10 minute wait perfect internet card was reasonable and return to the airport was exactly as promised all in all I was very happy. I will be back

Close to airport. Stayed here 11th Feb 2011 & again on 24th Feb 2011. Free aiport pick up worked well. However between 1st & 2nd stay cost of meals in the cafeteria had increased by 20% and a can of beer which was 50 baht on the first visit had increased to 80 baht on the second visit! Inflation gone mad!! The rooms could be cleaner.

Perfect for a sleepover between flights. The airport transfer couldn't have gone more smoothly. My room had everything I needed, including a hairdryer, which I had expected to have to ask for. I would have preferred inclusive breakfast, but this wasn't available when I booked. However, it was a simple matter of paying cash for the breakfast buffet. Think […] carefully about what time you want your airport transfer. I booked mine for 8am. Another couple booked for 8:30 and wanted to go earlier (ie same time as me). The hotel wouldn't let them change the time, so they had to take a taxi instead. A minute or two later I was the only passenger in the mini-bus on the way to the airport. Didn't make sense to me. This hotel is very convenient for an overnight stay before catching a flight, or for a stay following a late night flight arrival. It is clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. What is surprising is the very expensive internet. Standard fare for internet in Bangkok is 20 Baht per hour. This hotel charges four times as much. A shame that the hotel […] does this when other aspects are quite nice. In western terms it is not much money but it is more the principle that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The surrounding neighborhood looks a little sketchy at night and the hotel looks a little out of place because it's very clean, bright and modern. In the light of day you realize it's just a fairly standard neighborhood in Thailand and is actually perfectly safe. I arrived at the hotel late after a very long flight and they greeted me warmly and with […] some kind of Thai beverage which was a nice touch. I was impressed with the appearance of the lobby and main level of the hotel. For the price we paid we would get me a run down dump back in the states. A friend was flying in to meet up with me the following day and I had accidentally booked a room with a single bed but they were very accommodating and switched me to a double room without any problem. The staff could speak English (which was a serious problem at only 1 of the hotels we stayed at in Khao Lak) and were helpful with answering any questions we had. The beds were rather hard but that's just how it is in Thailand - even at the 5 star resort we later stayed at in Chiang Mai. They also offer free shuttle service to and from the airport. This is a great hotel for the money and in fact we stayed there 3 different times during our trip since we bounced all over Thailand with Bangkok being our jumping-off point. Les mer

We used this hotel twice and both times we were met at the airport without any problems. The first time we had a 24 hour layover so we went into Bangkok. We were going to take the new MRT (rapid transit) but found a taxi to take us there instead for 200Bht which was much quicker since it was the middle of the day. With the free airport pick up and drop off service this is a great hotel for layovers in Bangkok. Not to much around the hotel but a 5min walk away is a shopping district with a variety of restaurants. Pool is a nice feature. Would recommend this hotel for layovers but not for those hoping to be in downtown Bangkok.

After backpacking in hostels for 13 nights around Thailand; The Cottage was heaven! it is a lovely, modern hotel with a nice swimming pool, we only stayed for one night as we were flying out the following morning but wished i stayed longer. it's only 5 minutes away from BKK - it's a new property so most taxi drivers do not know where it is - i'd advise […] taking the phone number. the cost of the journey should be under 100 bht!! The taxi driver tried to charge us 350bht (£7) because he got lost!! they have a FREE shuttle service to the airport. There is a shopping centre only 5 min walk with lots of places to eat. Locatie was goed, ook op loopafstand van wat eettentjes. Hotel heeft wat gebruikers sporen maar prima bedden en goed om 1 nacht bij het vliegveld te overnachten. prijs kwaliteit verhouding is prima.

Hotellin henkilökunta ystävällinen ja ammattitaitoinen. Lentokenttäkuljetus kuului huoneen hintaan ja se toimi erinomaisesti. Hotellin ympäristössä on toivomisen varaa, mutta itsessään hotelli oli kodikas ja siisti.
